Square Enix's Avengers

Weird character designs but I wouldn't call them super terrible. I like Bruce Banner's!

The story is interesting enough with a good concept. The brief moments of gameplay wasn't that bad. Free dlc characters is nice!

I'm good! Good be better but also way worse
That is never good to say. :funny:

Cap’s costume is almost too realistic tactical gear. It doesn’t pop like the movie MCU design. I hope we can have alternate suits. From both the comics and film.

Btw, did a single game ever have this many devs and studios attached? I hope the game won't be ruined with all those cooks in the kitchen.
it was the disney toys to life game where it was toy box thing with life action figures . they had even the people that did game sleeping dog's and ninja theory. it was called disney infinty. and marvel work with alot of studio's this same way for that portion of the game that invovled marvel characters and content .

It's going to be like Assassin's Creed. I'd consider that as GAAS.

I've been playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey since launch, now while that does have ripoff microtransaction (which are pointless once you discover the Athens wall) for resources, I do like that they added new single player content for free. That I'm fine with, Odyssey doesn't need an internet connection to be played too.

The thing I don't get is people are saying there's no gameplay, but you see snippets of the Hulk/Iron Man/Thor... and it looks kind of stiff? Was expecting something more smooth than that considering how dynamic Arkham and Spidey were. Thor and Iron Man's bits were doing the whole camera locked off at the waist thing that third person shooters do... and I don't know if that'll work for those characters.

Not too impressed, but I'l probably end up checking it out either way

The trailer was decent. Not sure how I feel about what we got. Hope to be more excited, but not on board just yet.

Not a fan of any of the designs, Captain America's is awful.

AC has entire menus based around selling you stuff. They increased the level cap to try and tempt people to buy stuff. I don't think anyone would say AC isn't a game as a service. And I love it by the way. Playing it right now actually. But I know what it is.

Bill rose man did say to many people including kinda funny games which just saw talk & mention him that each studio that does a marvel game want's their own unique look for the character they are doing for their own game. that said they will make other costumes with some slight spin or with the way fan's want it.

Sony is flush with cash and high on their own farts. Do not put anything past them money hatting a thing.
They are like Microsoft at the end of the last generation and how they were at the end of the generation before that. When they got cocky and started pissing on gamers.

My biggest disappointment is actually that there's no release date

As soon as we get different skins I'm changing it right away

I wonder exactly what we could customize

GAAS lite then? I can tolerate if handled like Odyssey. But beyond that, I'll probably jump ship.

I don't mind paying for skins if it comes to that. But I sure as hell won't be buying like "pack of 10 repulser unibeam boosters" or whatever. All we can do is wait with dread at our backs.

Marvel’s Avengers will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on May 15, 2020, Square Enix announced at its E3 2019 press conference.

Square Enix has also announced a partnership with PlayStation on Marvel’s Avengers, which it will share more information about—including “surprises for PlayStation players”—in the future.

Here is an overview of the game, via Square Enix:

About

Marvel’s Avengers invites players to live their Super Hero dreams. Outstanding storytelling and an ever-expanding universe come together in the definitive Avengers gaming experience. Master extraordinary abilities, customize a growing roster of Heroes, assemble into teams of up to four players, and defend the Earth from escalating threats.

Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco—including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Marvel’s Avengers features a cinematic story, complete with the high-octane action that Crystal Dynamics is known for. Featuring regular content updates, the game will take players on an epic journey delivered over multiple years. This is what’s next for the Avengers.

As a first look I wasn’t disappointed. It still has things it needs to continue to work on but I doubt what we saw today is exactly what the finished product will look like. The no pay to win/paid dlc announcement is great.

I think everyone will grow on me by release day but Tony Stark may take the longest
