Thanks for posting. So 'never ever say never' isn't confirmation or denial, but if we get another version of a character in a game that's in a different universe I'd be satisfied with that.

truth be told I've pushing for this since their spilt with activision and the fact that some( some them that screwed up them selves majorly)of the game publisher's were acting fairly to marvel . especially after that dead pool game among others where management was changed and games were given poor quality .

I 've been pushing that marvel need's to do the same thing in the where are the marvel games thread for a while and make a publisher house divsion for games or as one the mod's put a unit and by studio's that were fair new that only wanted to create marvel games . that way hey won't have have an issue with some sort regime change(as other like to call it) and lose an Ip cause the current boss of game publisher didn't agree with his predecessor's agreement with marvel shut the game down cause or she didn't care favored other things.

and them doing shared universe is good step in the best direction. lol even the people that made overwatch are thinking about this for their own game universe currently. so marvel should really do this.

but the words "continuous gameplay" and "ever-expanding world" give me pause. that gives me the impression it will be like Destiny/Anthem with an always online/connected world.

but the words "continuous gameplay" and "ever-expanding world" give me pause. that gives me the impression it will be like Destiny/Anthem with an always online/connected world.

It could mean dlc and updates but we'll just see tomorrow. If it is a Destiny type game then I guess I'll be the only one on this site playing it as everyone here seems against that direction.

I need my superhero game fix on Xbox besides DC games. So I'll be getting this no matter what

Yuuup. Sounds like a mostly online game. Wouldn't shock me if there is a short single player campaign and the rest is online multiplayer.

The leak itself says action adventure cinematic story with up to 4 player co-op than attention of multiplayer modes. Simply continuous single and co op play

I'm just saying that even though a developer isn't known to make a specific type of game, doesn't disbar them from going ahead and making that REALLY REALLY REALLY bad decision.

They aren't exactly "confident and sure" that it's gonna be a mmo. They're cautious on what kind of anticipation they build, just that.

They've been disappointed too many times in the past, so now, even if hopeful, they avoid expecting too much and will always keep one foot behind them.

Time does that to you.

Oh, I remember that. I was one of those players. I had never really played all that much. Basically when I was bored and wanted a superhero gaming fix. But I had just bought the new Apocalypse costumes that were released for Storm, Magik and Jean. And what seriously felt like the next day, they announced the cancellation. I was refunded everything, of course, but I was shocked because it happened to quickly and seemed to come out of nowhere.

So timeline wise, the reports of Disney cancelling Marvel Heroes were released on the 15th of November 2017 and the announcement trailer for the then called Avenger's Project premiered almost a year before on the 26th of January 2017. I've thought about the connection before, but not in a while considering I haven't thought of Marvel Heroes at all in a very long time.

The "continuous singleplayer" bit makes it sound like a live service game a la Assassins creed Odyssey. There will probably be a single player campaign and then a road map with further single player campaigns released as DLCs. Or it could be something between AC Odyssey and Destiny. A hybrid of sorts. Not sure what that would look like, but I have some faith in SE. Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XV are great games.

I have no idea what they will make, but companies do stupid things trying to chase money.

I can see it going either way. Either the player will get to create their own character that will be a recruit to the Avengers team or the player's characters be one of the OG preexisting avengers. The former allows much more player freedom. I could get on board with either.

Well it's an Avengers game. That is what they are hyping it as. I want to play as the Avengers. This is like hyping a Spider-Man game, and then saying you got to create your own character who has similar powers.
