Square Enix's Avengers

Rosemann seems happy enough. I guess he wasn't going for a AAA game experience this time around. Go figure.
Maybe he means nice people. I’m sure they are nice. They aren’t the best when it comes to creating something that will excite people at E3, that’s for sure.

Alot of people not feeling the graphics. Personally it doesn't matter to me. I'm a gameplay over graphics guy anyway, and I trust Square with this. I'm pumped,
The graphics are a sign of how much effort and skill has gone into things so far. You can have pleasant looking character models in a low tech game that isn’t really bothering with graphics.

Can you imagine adding in the Batman from Arkham Asylum and Spidey from his game here and seeing how much they stand out?! Those games didn’t exactly suffer on the gameplay front either. Unless the budget is really low, there’s no reason for them to be choosing between graphics and gameplay.

This closed the show that had Final Fantasy VII Remake. :funny:

I'm now worried about the shared Gaming Universe. Can you imagine Insomniac's Spider-Man inhabiting the same world as Crystal Dynamics's Avengers? It would just look jarring.

I really don't like how they tried to ground the game in realism even more than the Movies. Look at their Taskmaster for example. He'd just be some random goon, if it weren't for his skull mask.

I got love for square but they're the last company I'd ever put blind faith in
They've put out a lot of garbage over the years including 2018's incredible "the quiet man"

Online-only mean I'm skipping this by default, but I might've anyway given how bad and outdated the game itself looks.

I guess I have different standards because I just don't see it. There's a difference between bad graphics and bad designs. I would say the designs are off, but he graphics don't look any worse than Spiderman PS4.

Oh...The internet has not been kind to that reveal trailer...It deserves it though...A delay of the game should be in order to sort out this mess

Graphics don't look great. I'm going to end up giving this a try when it comes out regardless, though. I hope they nail the story.

Character designs are already kinda growing on me. Not among the best art style and graphics but not completly terrible. Not too bothered as most

I might eventually get used to most of them, but Thor is getting a hard pass from me. I really think he needs a radical re-design. I hope at least the alternate outfits look better.

Alternate costumes and skins can save them

Are we sure its online only? They could have been talking about co op online

There isn’t a shared gaming universe. Marvel already has said that they are letting each developer tell their own story and are not interested in trying to get them to share a universe.

I don't know what to think about this. On one hand, what I believe was gameplay footage looked cool. Loved Hulk being Hulk again after the last two disastrous years on the big screen.
But on the other, ugh, the character designs. Their faces look... off. The costumes, lol. Iron Man's faceplate looks... weird.

Everything looks off.

Like last year when they showed the first trailer, I was so used to Leon Kennedy looking in RE: 4 and 6, I had to get used to how he looks in the remake, I guess I'll get used to these character models.

It's a first day buy for me no question. I hope they polish everything up and have multiple suits, because I will be changing them.

I think they just need to make a convince model of character, people honestly won't care much for the differences. IN the Arkham series Bruce and Alfred are so different through 4 games, yet they look so convincing.

This look like all the Avengers were given a generic model of character.

I still can't comprehend what they did to Thor. How did they manage to make Thor, the god of thunder, look less impressive in video game form, than the actor portraying him? Seriously, put this Thor next to Chris Hemsworth. It's like putting Hugh's Wolverine from X1, next to his Wolverine in The Wolverine 2.

Tony Stark is the one that will take me longer to get used to. If I rank the designs, it has to be..

Bruce Banner/Hulk
Natasha/Black Widow
Thor
Hank Pym/Ant-Man
Steve Rogers/Captain America
Tony Stark/Iron Man

Yeah, this looks like absolute s**t right now
I really hope they take stock of the reaction and make some changes

gameplay seems like it could be good, but as it stands this is sadly a pass for me right now
I have limited video game money these days, not spending $60 on something that looks like like a college student built it on a ps2

when Marvel Strike Force, a mobile game, looks better than your AAA console game, you know you done f**ked up
How did Marvel even sign off on this?
