Square Enix's Avengers

Admittedly I bought into that a bit as a couple of them can give good performances depending on the game, but I just found Nolan North's Iron-man insufferable.

Because all anyone tries to do with Iron Man now is be like Robert Downey Junior. It doesn't work if you're not RDJ. That's why I roll my eyes when any voice actor tries to do it. There's more than one way to portray the character.

Crazy that we are in the gaming section of a major superhero site and a bunch of us just can't be assed to buy the game. It shows exactly how much Square dropped the ball here. Avengers was the biggest IP of the moment over the last decade or so and any half decent game would have seen massive engagement.
It's especially disappointing when you see comments basically saying "The game's less than half the price atm that it was at launch, but still not worth my money" This game could've been so much more if it had been made by a team with a focused vision that actually had the first clue about how to make a multiplayer game. Instead we have an Avengers multiplayer game made by a singleplayer developer on an engine designed for singleplayer games that can't support having more than four active players at a time, decent traversal speeds as IM and Thor, or allow you to travel to an elevation higher than about 20 floors with a loot system where you instantly dismantle basically every piece of gear you pick up because the game can't be bothered to give you gear of actual use. The cherry on top is the microtransactions where they ask you to pay $9-$14 for skins. I only played it recently through PS Now (bought a few months to play the older R&C games, kind of regret, streaming games is rough) and I'm glad I didn't pay money for this.

John Hamm was quite good as Tony Stark in MODOK.

I personally would have gone with the long hair and braided beard from the final battle for Thor. The short hair doesn't fit the game model well. I'm laughing at all the comments on that tweet complaining that they didn't give him Stormbreaker. Did they all forget what game this is?

Nice.

I wish Square eniX just focused on these story eXpansions / new playables rather than those multiplayer stuff that I just keep ignoring.

Finally gave this another whirl this weekend

And yeah, I just cant with this game

buggy as hell. Bad designs. Lackluster voice acting. Levels are boring as s*** and tedious. Loot game is hilariously bad. Even the combat left me empty. For one plus I will say the graphics are nice, but that hasnt really been a driving factor in my gaming decisions in several console generations.

Shame we waited a decade for a AAA Avengers game and this is what we get. I so badly want a good Avengers game, guess Ill have to stick with the surprisingly fun mobile outings.. hopefully future revolution will be able to fill this void for a while until a decent AAA company tries again

So what DLC is still due for this? Still haven't bought it yet biding my time until more stuff is out.

I bought this for $10 from GameFly used. For the first two missions, it had me. Then it fell off the cliff. The combat is goodish (Thor and Cap) to down right terrible (Hulk). Overall I like the personalities of Kamala, Thor and Widow but there is just nothing to play here.

Mathis game is worth renting then buying in my opinion but the dlcs were lackluster am hoping the black panther dlc will be better and I don’t know if the Spider-Man dlc is happening any more
