I liked both movies, but both could have been a thousand times better. IMO this world would be a better place if Singer stuck with X-Men and someone who didn't have a man-crush on Richard Donner got to handle Superman.

true dat

They both sucked, but at least X3 had good action and a decent story. SR sucked all around.

I don't think so man, Superman Returns was very good...

but then again, seems like you're a person who only likes a movie if it's full on action all the way through.

X-3, at least it was fun. SR was just boring.

X3 was a hour and half of pure devestation, except for a few brief juicy moments.

see I think X3 had a very TAS feel to it (Brief plot, small character arcs, and to the point, with the point being lets get these xmen to use their powers against other mutants who use their powers) In that sense I enjoyed the fun little ride X3 was. I didn't enjoy much of SR, and I am not even a big action ****e unless it is just (like POTCDMC), But I was board during SR

I'll admit the pacing on SR was kinda bad, but X3 was in no way fun.

How.....I still don't get, how can anyone even say a serious word about a movie where Superman knocks up a chick then takes off for half a decade without saying goodbye?!?

It's the most preposterous....whatever.

X3 wasn't perfect at all, but still it was good. Superman returns was boring and waaaay too long. It was a great dissappointment to me, since I got my hopes high after the trailers.

Agreed and I was disappointed with SR.

But if you have such low expectations for a movie like X3 and it still manages to disappoint? X3 had the feel of a quickly slapped together movie.

I got the same feeling for FF2.

FF2 looks like it's being pushed out as fast as X3 was.

FF2 is like diarrhea after eating the bad nachos that were FF1. No way can it be good.

Why wouldn't fox? X3 is the second or third highest grossing movie this year. If it worked once, they probably figure it can work again.

I still maintain X3 is better than SR however. Even if it was rushed and lacked character development, at least I didn't nearly fall asleep in it.

I agree, the first one sucked, why do people think the second will be any better?

I guess I'm a lil sick of the whole "It's a fun movie excuse with movies nowadays." Between X3 and Pirates this year, I want a "good" movie.

Yes it's fun to have a movie where you can leave your brain at the door but why can't it be both fun and good. :csad:

X3 had some great action, and Ian McKellan as the villain.

SR had a campy Lex Luthor, and a snooze fest of a story.

X3 gets my vote.
