You're quoting statistics when you have no factual proof

ROTJ is a very good, fun action movie on it's own.
The problems with X3 are not based around what characters chose to do but by the horrible execution,over-crammed character list and fast food pace of the film along with a complete waste of a major part of the X Men mythos in Dark Phoenix and that isn't just the fanboys view,if anyone looks at the movie world and sees a prominent player in the first two films turn evil and be reduced to a moot that shoots flames they get the same vibe

"ROTJ is a very good, fun action movie on it's own" ........ indeed, and most people I know would say exactly the same about X3.

But the "boobs" comment tells me all I really need to know.:whatever:

While neither film is particularly good, I must say that X3 was better than SR.

That's one of my gripes about this movie. Yes I know it's an intereptation and shouldn't be likened to the comics but the Dark Phoenix Saga is one of the epic stories in the X-Men universe and Hunter is right, it was reduced to some small side story with a cheap ending. All this in order for 20th Century Fox to make it's movie date last summer.

And let's not compare Jedi with X3, that's even more ludicrous than Empire and Pirates. :down

I agree.

But Jedi vs. Ice Pirates, there's a whopper for another time.

I reduced the ROTJ to a base form,it has much more to it than that even without the other movies and as for X3 to me a good action movie needs more than stuff blowing up to make me care,a good action movie has characters and quiet moments to make the action worthwhile

It tells you nothing, for starters it was a joke between me and Doglips who i know well and if you check his original post he said he chose X3 because it had more women

Sorry:csad: i could only think of two trilogies where the movies stand alone as good films and he chose ROTJ instead of ROTK as the debate point

X3 was a really big dissappointment, it's fun to watch, and learn what not to do in a Superhero film. It reminded me of Batman and Robin.

Superman Returns made me happy the whole time. I had a smile the whole time I was watching it. I've watched Superman Returns twice today. I haven't watched X3 once since I bought it.

I don't even see how you can compare the two? one is a total piece of monkey crap(X3), while the other one is a shining example of how to make a film and a Superhero film (Superman Returns).

Finally, someone I can agree with 100%.

I mostly agree but why did you buy it if you think it's monkey crap ?

SR disappointed me in the fact that I was expecting some big payoff and it kinda just left me hanging. Like the girl in high school who wouldn't put out.

I might have the compulsion to watch it one day, plus it completes my X-men collection.
I only got the basic version with the crappiest cover art I have ever seen.

HAHAHAHA!!!
Knowing that movie, it'll never end up there because of all the idiots who think it's the best X-men movie ever. yeah...there's something wrong with that, and it just goes to show you that most of America has the mental capacity of an Eight year old.

SR was a decent and heartfelt attempt where as X3 was essentially Batman Forever without the neon.

Superman I thought was very good. X3 was a letdown and could of been much better imo.

I'll give x3 points for originality. It didn't steal most of its plot and dialogue from a classic movie and the action was very fun rather than bland and pretentious.

Both suck though.

Indeed.

If you go to the cinema to be entertained SR was a wasted bank note.

I liked both movies. But I'll go with Superman Returns. I like it when a movie strays away from it's source material.

Both dissapointing, Superman, less so. IMO.

Both films disappointed. But SR was a drag. It was worse than my Stars Wars: Phantom Menace experience.
