X3. The only people who didnt like it are the whiny fanboys.

i'm not an x-men fan and i thought it sucked. but i am a fan of good movies so maybe that means i'm a little biased. :o
superman returns was lightyears ahead as far as story, character and content goes. the fx in returns were also much better and used to better affect.

Halle ain't all that. :o

..............she really isn't.

Rebecca Romijn on the other hand.

oh I beg to differ... Halle Berry is perfection. And yes, even with Catwoman under her belt. :p

X3 was a really big dissappointment, it's fun to watch, and learn what not to do in a Superhero film. It reminded me of Batman and Robin.

Superman Returns made me happy the whole time. I had a smile the whole time I was watching it. I've watched Superman Returns twice today. I haven't watched X3 once since I bought it.

I don't even see how you can compare the two? one is a total piece of monkey crap(X3), while the other one is a shining example of how to make a film and a Superhero film (Superman Returns).

I kinda agree with that, but X3 is not THAT bad, and whilst Supes was a good film, it seriously muffed up in certain areas. Supes with a kid? No. Lois the *****? No. Other than that. Superb

I liked X3 better.

If anything, at least it wasn't boring.

Overall I'd say this year hasn't been really impressive so far. Neither of these flicks really blew me away like pirates did, but even that came up short thanks to it only being half a movie like matrix reloaded. Maybe it's because there are no more star wars movies to look forward to... (Or not look forward to, depending on how you look at it) though I haven't seen every movie ever... just the most popular stuff. I blame cgi cuz I think it's making filmmakers lazy. Instead of covering up bad fx with a good or great story, great fx are covering up a mediocre or bad story.

the next year should be a slam dunk though.

I hope.

And then the year after that, the Joker Returns.

Unliked lot's of others, I liked X3, I thought it was pretty fun. But I loved Superman Returns. So, SR.

Definately, definately SR for me, SR a good CB movie AND and a good movie, X3 was neither, it was a disgraceful disaster and thats being kind to X3.

SR was much better.

I did a similar poll to this in the MiscCBmovies section HR.

I voted X3, i found superman to be borin and i expected so much more.

looks like im in the minority on this one tho, lol

LOL yeah we get it... you say this all the time, every day. Not even I can go on for so many months worshiping a single film as much. But I'm starting to wonder though if you love it so much because of the movie or because people think it violated the source material in ways that have never been thought to be possible before.

I'm so very baffled by he whole thing. When I go to the xboards and see SR-maniacs spitting on x3 for not doing the comic justice, it makes my brain explode.

both were disappointing, but X-3 really pi$$ed me off killing main characters off....so S.R. for me.

How did you people manage to sit through SR?
I felt like I was sitting on thumbtacks the whole time.
At least the blasphemous X3 had some ACTION. :o
I swear, Spacey seemed like he was playing with that train set for 20 minutes.

He was. :csad:

In a related story, did Kumar ever even say anything? Why was he in the movie?

I think he pointed at something once and said "Look!". He was there to get White Castle endorsement monies.

people who like x3 are my sworn enemies....

along with plenty of other film fans...

X3, but I did like SR as well.

But I am a big X-Men fan and not much of a Superman fan.

Yeah, Superman Returns was quite boring.

X3 managed to f**k up the Phoenix Saga. how the hell do you make a bad movie out of the Phoenix Saga? seriously! it loses automatically.

plus, whatever action it had was ridiculous. Beast, anyone?

I liked both movies, but both could have been a thousand times better. IMO this world would be a better place if Singer stuck with X-Men and someone who didn't have a man-crush on Richard Donner got to handle Superman.

I agree Singer shouldn't have done Superman, and his X3 would probably have been a better movie, in saying that...

I am glad he is not part of the xmen franchise anymore, Its fine with me if Ratner plays Schumacer on the bit, and then we can start over and do things right with X-men. While singer made decent character movies with X-men, he missed the whole point of it being a team, and not just one person. They should have made it so the movie revolved around a plot that the whole squad could be involved in, rather then the wolverine character arc. Plus if you read the comics, or watch TAS you won't recognize any of the X-men

Definitely Superman Returns!
