Well, wouldn't know from a technical point of view. I can tell the FX were great, and I liked the part where he tries to grab the wing or something and it breaks. But that was it for me, the rest was "meh".

Well those technical proficiency's with the use of sound brought me right into the scene and involved me with it,in X3 lots of stuff blew up and flew around but Bay and Cameron already have done that a lot better and so did Abram's IMO

Superman Returns is an action-adventure movie without action nor adventure

I know a lot of people here are superman fans, but you have to be objective. The movie is crap.

How are you being objective exactly? How was it "crap?"

I guess I'm a lil sick of the whole "It's a fun movie excuse with movies nowadays." Between X3 and Pirates this year, I want a "good" movie.

Yes it's fun to have a movie where you can leave your brain at the door but why can't it be both fun and good. :csad:

Don't get me wrong, I like movies that are good, hell, my favorite movie of the summer was Snakes on a Plane. One of the great points of Snakes on a Plane is that it is both action packed and a good movie with a fairly decent story and great 3 dimensional characters.

But right now, this is a comparrison, Superman Returns vs X-men 3. Superman Returns was melodramatic, riddled with plot holes, and boring. Which considering the genre it shouldn't have been.

X-men 3 was melodramatic and riddled with plot holes, but at least it was fun.

There is a time and place for stories like Superman Returns, the comic book genre isn't one of them. It is more like a Julia Roberts movie than a Superman movie.

I'm just saying the truth. The actions scenes are just two (and pretty bad both), Brandon Routh is the worst Superman ever and the plot is very boring.

So, like I said:

Superman Returns=Crap

Sounds like an opposing opinion, not objectiveness.

I don't blame Routh for his performance, I blame Singer. Routh was given nothing to work with. He had two roles "Be Clark where you are bumbling and befuddled or be Superman where you just brood and spy on people."

The character was given no dialogue and was horribly bland. It wasn't Routh's fault though.

I don't blame Routh neither, I blame the person who made the casting.

Having followed the preproduction closely from the start, I was very disappointed with X3. I'll admit that I had a blast seeing it for the first time, but after several viewings, that feeling wore off and the flaws were starting to show. I thought it was borderline average.

SR, on the other hand, was a great movie, contrary to popular belief. I was so blown away that I had to see it again. I nearly had a fit when I first heard the theme song. Nevertheless, I thought Routh was overly bland and boring and wrongfully cast, and Huntington was just plain horrible, but fortunately, Spacey made everything so much better and I now love him like a fat kid loves cake.

Big surprise there, seeing as I have the screen name of the character :yay:. Had Fox waited and we would've gotten two great movies on our hands.

Hunter, I'm going to try a little experiment. I hope you don't mind.:hyper:

...In a parallel universe, Bryan Singer directed X3, possibly the greatest superhero film, while a director who didn't love Donner's Supes film with a passion made a great Superman film.

Sucks for us. :down

No, it sucks for you and for anyone else who didn't like these movies. I enjoyed both, but I liked Superman Returns a lot better.
