Stan Lee wants ANOTHER Hulk reboot?

I love Stan Lee, but IMO that sounds crazy. I'm going to lose my mind if I never get to see Edward Norton as Bruce Banner again.

I think if they are going to make another Hulk movie, reboot or not (I hope it's a sequel though), they should use the technology used in Avatar to create a Hulk that looks and feels as real as it gets. I think the CGI Hulk may have rubbed some people the wrong way before, but if they can make Hulk look as believable as the Na'vi in Avatar it will definitely give audience that eye-opening experience.

Yea... I want to see TIH2 with Leader in it.

But isnt Edward Norton against a sequel or something because he had some disagreements with the director? (Or was it the director who got angry... I cant remmeber but anyway)

No, he and Letterier are friends, according to Louie, they still talk.

Norton had issues with a producer that isn't there anymore, most likely David Maisel.

He's delusional to think the third time will be a charm.
The reason it performed underwhelmingly is due to the negative feelings the public had of Angs version, you redo **** again and it wont strike customer confidence it'll end up crashing and burning even more then if they build on what they already have.

Just save him for the Avengers.

It was also probably too soon to do a reboot, only five years after the Ang Lee version came out. I think that more interest/curosity would've been invested if the Hulk was given a cameo like in Iron Man.

ok, a bit OT - but does anyone know how to pronounce leterrier's name?

is it la-ter-e-air

or

la-ter-ee-a cause he's european?

Yeah, Norton is PERFECT as Banner. No reboot necessary because the Ang Lee taint was the thing that held Incredible Hulk down, not the quality of the film itself.

At The Movies this weekend just named BOTH Hulk films as the most underrated in genre history.

I agree with Michael Phillips and A.O. Scott hosts of At The Movies.

Very Underrated SH films: The Incredible Hulk & Daredevil the Director's Cut (NOT the theatrical version)

Overrated: Agree with The Dark Knight nomination... good film but not "better than the Godfather" as fanboys claim.

It's La-terry-air

Well that is how I pronounce it.

But back to Hulk, one of the reasons I believe why TIH wasn't a big hit is because Hulk isn't really used as an actual character. He just shows up for the action and then it's the end of him. They need to make Hulk talk and with the ending of TIH I believe that he is now able to talk short sentences. They just need to give Hulk a personality because at the moment all he does is growl and smash things!

I think TIH was the perfect way to relaunch the Hulk franchise. Could Lee be jelaous of how well TIH did?

I Love TIH but I wouldn't mind a reboot, or maybe a sequel/reboot mix, whatever they do, they need to have it done before they introduce hulk into The Avengers i'd say.

I remember Leterrier(in a interview forgot which one) said at the time of the events of Brazil starting off. Banner had turned into the hulk around nine times over the course of the 5 years of being a fugitive. During TIH his fighting style evolved as well. I guess when the Hulk returns in the Avengers. They will have him more evolved than he currently is.

It only made 134 million dollars because the marketing began way too close to the premiere. Too late, that is.

And there were people who thought it actually was a sequel to the Ang Lee film, which did poorly at the box office. Not that you can blame them, since the studio didn't really do their best at presenting TIH as a reboot before it's release. Unfair, but the movie is awesome. It's closer to the comics than any other Hulk live action movie.

I thought TIH was good and doesn't really need a reboot. Though I could totally see the GA eating up a new 3-D Hulk film. I'm not a stickler for the 3D fad that's going around but it could work for Hulk.

I believe there were too many things against TIH to make it a hit. As you mentioned the marketing was left too late, it also wasn't half as good as IM's marketing imo and the fact the studio didn't do enough to let people know it wasn't a sequel to Ang's Hulk, which left a bitter taste in alot of peoples mouths. Also, there's the fact Iron Man had only been released a month earlier and took up alot of the limelight, another superhero movie so soon after wasn't a good idea. I would've been happy if TIH had been put off until after The Avengers, have that film catapult him back into the limelight, get people excited to see him in his own movie again.

Anyway, what's done is done, a reboot isn't needed, just give Hulk an exciting role in The Avengers and then do TIH2, though I would prefer a Hulk movie sooner rather than later.

I think that the markups below stupidly make a movie about the Hulk, he's stupid! What he has given us new can say: Hulk beat! Hulk smashing, and so on ...
stupid:hehe:
It's like King Kong Peter Jackson's full Fini-iiiiiish!:wow:

Yep. Avi Arad said something along the lines of whenever Banner turned into the Hulk, he was seeing stuff for the first time and learning as he went along; just like a child.

The marketing for this film was practically non-existent! Marvel and Universal really screwed up on that!

Would've done a huge difference had they postponed TIH a bit longer. The green behemoth deserves better. But there were a lot of impatient fans.

I would love to see the "Avatar" tech used for the Hulk, now if Marvel can just scrap together the $400 million it took to make Avatar...

Maybe enough people just don't care about Hulk as a character? Not enough for 140 to 150mil budgets anyway.

I prefered Ang's Hulk personally. Hulk was an actual character of his own. And even though i don't think Bana is suited to Banner, he gave a better performance. Plus the desert scene surpassed every other action scene in TIH easily in my eyes.

IMO Norton just seemed jaded and uninterested. Like he didn't give his all. And it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case, seeing as there was a lot of tension behind the scenes.

Hulk doesn't need a reboot. Just get him in Avengers.

Stan just wants it to make more money. A reboot is definitely NOT the way to do that. Put him in Avengers and play him up as super awesome, maybe another small role/cameo in another character's film and to reinvest interest in the character. Then do TIH2. If that doesn't do it, keep him as just a supporting character. If successful, a Planet Hulk could be good.

make more money?????????

Stan The Man has been swimming in trillions of $$$ sense the 1700s........ I HIGHLY doubt he'd want a "reboot" just to make a little extra money, a sequel usually makes more money anyway. It was his personal opinion.
