Stan Lee wants ANOTHER Hulk reboot?

I Think he meant it in a way like you'd expect a hero like hulk, especially right after Iron Man, to have a bit more of an impact.

I really think both Hulk films did opposite parts of the character well:

Ang Lee Hulk: Great Bruce Banner film, good at getting into the psychology of the character. Terrible Hulk film though.

TIH: Great action film, little emotional resonance and character worth though.

If you can strike both chords you could have a hit.

Maybe enough people just don't care about Hulk as a character? Not enough for 140 to 150mil budgets anyway.

That's what I think. I don't read the comics, but from TIH I got the impression that the Hulk is basically a CGI character who can barely talk and who only runs from the army and fights other CGI monsters. Banner isn't even interesting enough to carry a movie, unlike Tony Stark. If there's more to him than that then the movie didn't do him justice. The only way I could see another Hulk movie being a hit would be if it were filmed in 3-D.

All good points. I gotta agree with you KangConquers, Both films did give something great to the character of Bruce Banner/Hulk. whether it be by a sequel or a reboot, they need to take both of those contributing factors and make a movie out of it

If they would have released the trailer that came in the Best Buy disc first a couple of months before the release or even a year, had marketing months before the release, and release it in 2009 when there was nothing out there to watch, I guaran-damn-tee it would've made more money than XMO: Wolverine, Fantastic Four and X-Men.

It sure as sh** was a better movie than those.

Yeah, one of the problems with TIH's opening was it was bookmarked by Iron Man and TDK, both very anticipated. And some of the GA doesn't like spending money on movies much so they'll get selective, and I could see why it'd be those two. They had much better marketing. If TIH was distributed by Paramount like IM and all the other upcoming Marvel movies I wonder if they would have done a better job. I actually remember Letterier being a little unhappy about how much was revealed in the trailers and the unfinished shots used in them.

I would love to see the "Avatar" tech used for the Hulk, now if Marvel can just scrap together the $400 million it took to make Avatar...

Hey, they got the Mouse backing them up now... Anything goes.

The desert scene in Ang's Hulk is better than anything in TIH though.

I disagree very strongly. I thought the desert scene may have been the most boring action piece in a superhero movie that I've seen. Too slow-placed, tame and unexciting. Even when I first saw it as a ten year old I was pretty unamused through it.

Of course you can have the Hulk without Banner, they have done it many times in the comics. I don't think Banner shows up in The Avengers till #3.

LOL, I'll revise my post

This isn't some damn cartoon or comic, NO Banner = NO Hulk.

I realize you are talking about the movies, and you CAN have the Hulk in an Avengers movie with out having Banner in it!

It can be done..... But I'd still like to see at least some Banner, and not just Hulk %100 of the time

Im assuming Hulk is Stan Lee's fav marvel character, right after Spidey.

You know what he's right!!!!!!!!!

First of all stop all this B**ch'n about freakin ANG LEE having a freakin negative effect already.I tired of these little B**ch a$$ girls crying about Ang Lee already.

If that was the case Batman Begins would not have taken off on it's own because of Batman and Robin.
If Batman Begins would have sucked then people would have blamed Schomacher the director or whatever his name was and they would have blamed Batman and Robin, but because it did well everyone praised Chris Nolan. What a bunch of Hipocrytes. However Chris Nolan deserves his fair amount of praise but:Why?He took somthing that was jacked up and failed and he did somthing with it.We can say Letteier wasn't as good enough of a Director to fix the problem and overcome like Nolan was. What's his excuse with the New Clash of the Titans remake? From what I hear he changed up the story and it lacks the character development and charm the original one had!!!Batman Begins and Chris Nolan over came what was Batman and Robin and that what makes it a Darn Good Movie period and a Darn good director!!!The Incredible Hulk had it chance Letteier had his chance like Lee and both of them blew it!!!Period!!!! A good film can stand on it's own regardless of it's obstacles that's what makes it a good film and TIH sucked for different reasons that Hulk sucked PERIOD!!!!!Different reasons but because of the same cause!!!!LACK OF DIRECTION!!!!!!!!!!!
It's needs another re-boot.The reason why both Hulks sucked was because they didn't know what they wanted to do with the Hulk.
Gamma Bomb or not Gamma Bomb,Does he talk or he doesn't talk, should we go with the Comic book Hulk or the T.V. Hulk,Should he look like a monster or look like a body builder. It was a freakin mess BOTH TIMES!!!And Both Films suffered from the same disease....INDECISIVENESS!!!!!Stupidity!!!And Ignorance!!!!
Some peopleonly like TIH because the Ahtes Angs Hulk so much but if Tih would have come out first these same people that praise would probably hate it.Vice versa some people who hated the Ang version now praise it because they hate TIH so much more!!!!
Hulk was one of the most off-beat off-centered focusses on a character I had ever seen.
Iron Man was on point Batman Begins was on Point and on spot with the origin and character developement!!!There were some minor tweaks to the origin but that's all.

All they had to do was go with the Astonishing tales version of the Hulk.Or Hulk #1.
Let him freakin talk which makes a big difference in CGI as we see in AVATAR!!!
Spend some money on CGI do somthing better!!!!!
Get some dang blasted story!!!Cut out these over acting people!!IN BOTH FILMS!!!

Do the story right and don't freakin tell me you can't find a way to make a Gamma bomb story if you can have a man in a cave with a car battery make a full funtioning body armor of combat and escape to become Iron Man!!!!!

Make the Hulk the Star. The reason Bruce Banner was the focus on the T.V. Show was because it was the 70's and they were limited to what the Hulk could and couldn't do and the reason why Hulk was mute and didn't talk was because Lou was deaf and they didn't like the sound of his voice as it became difficult for him to speak!!!
Hulk shouldn't be better looking then BOTH BANNER"S!!!!

At this point the only way to re-boot without having to re-boot the whole movie is show the Hulk in the Avengers and Flashback to his origin totally different as if theis was a different Hulk all together and then build up from there.

GIVE US THE REAL HULK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the last film was one of my favorite marvel flicks.

But...having said that, I just don't think Hulk can hold a film all on his own...at least in regard to the general audience. From my observations...a lot of people just don't "get" the Hulk or just don't like him. I know non-comic fans who love comic book films, but had zero interest in the Hulk because to them it just seems like another "monster movie".

I just don't think The Hulk has that appeal to draw in the general audience.

I want to clarify I was referring to ANG, not Stan. My bad.

Hmarrs, you make some very valid points that I hope will be respected by someone with an ability to actually do something about it but I would tone it down a bit.
