Stan Lee wants ANOTHER Hulk reboot?

Boy was Beowolf ever a turn off and what or who was best CGI character to come off??????
The big Ogre creature. The son remember?????

oh yeah, lol, 'grendel', i only watched the first half hour as i was put off by the cgi people, but the grendel scene was good, it was crispen glover who mo-capped for that.

I quite liked beowulf tbh :o

yeah, i imagine i would as well, i had a 'beowolf' book when i was a kid that i loved. i was just not in the mood for watching the mo-capped cgi people when i borrowed the dvd.

Um, Angelina Jolene was pretty hot coming out of the cave lake. Don't know what you were looking at! Grendil's "hulk" perhaps? Can't remember if he had clothes.

kthxbye

'nuff said.

they can do a better Hulk than what we got in TIH, so they should do it!

Just for the record, I wanted to say, before my counterpoint, that I loved both. but both have pros and cons. Ideally, there is a perfect hulk movie in the middle of the two films.

Sorry, again I disagree. A movie can be well liked and still not necessarily a box office smash. The casual movie fan simply didn't want to spend their hard earned money to give the Hulk another shot in the theater.

exactly, because it ultiamately wasn't good enough to warrant that. Remember, in my post, i never equated BO with quality. if you want to reset batnipples, you have to REALLY stand out and create something revolutionary with the next one. really change the whole dynamics. you cant just make another typical movie, especially one that is still pretty similar to the last one, to the point that some thought it was a sequel. there is no doubt that BB is different from schumacher, or burton even.

ultimately how much the movie makes is a very good reflection whether it was well received or not, not whether the movie itself was good or bad. Example, I thought Watchmen was amazing, perfect adaption, great updating, but it just wasn't well received.

and you gotta give it some time. you can't just reboot something every couple of years.

Business failure is a bit strong. We can argue about numbers, dvd sales, toy revenue, etc all night. Marvel was quoted as saying that, "TIH was a success". Whether people want to believe that is up to them, but that's what was said.

This whole discussion came about because stan lee thought it wasn't a success, one of their own.

of course marvel will call it a success at the time. Parents always see their kids as success and special. you said whether people want to believe it or not, so you think it makes more sense that people are in denial, or Marvel is?

it's not enough for business to break even. that's not why they make movies. sure it made a marginal profit at the end if you include the other stuff, but best reflection that studios use to gauge their success is making their money back on domestic gross. and it didn't. Neither did the AngLee's one for that matter.

And as far as an introduction to the character...we can thank the TV show for that. People still consider that "the real Hulk".

you are absoluetly right there. in an even larger view of media, the TV show made a much bigger impact than both of those movies put together. I was just comparing AngLee vs TIH, but both are blown out of the water in terms of cultural impact against the original TV.

Marvel really wanted something like Batman, where you have teh 1960's version, Batman 89, and BB, each holding their own. unforutanately it didn't work out that way.

no norton = no more hulk movies.

of course look what they did with superman returns and brandon. what a bunch of BS.

same goes for spider man...shall i keep going?

The Incredible Hulk would have been a smash, but people still remember the first film. There's no point to a reboot. I thought it was a gazillion times better than Iron Man and that made a ton of dough. If Ang Lee had never happened, TIH would probably have made 250 million dollars. Heck Hancock made over 200 million and that was one of the *****tiest superhero movies I've ever seen.

I knew someone was going to say that and I was going to say with the exception of Angelina Jolie but c'mon that's not fair that's Angelina Jolie she would have looked better even if she would have been Cartoon animation,Clay Animation,Paper cut out,Line drawing etc.etc.etc.etc.
In her case the CGI dont make her SHE MAKES THE CGI!!!So it's an unfair comparrison.

Agreed to everything said! Especially the part with TIH being better than Iron Man.

Does anyone know what happened to the director's cut?

I remember reading an interview with Louis Leterrier way back in 08 where he said he cut out at least 70 minutes of footage that he promised to put back onto a director's cut Blu-Ray version. So, where is it?

Oh my, really!? Good God I want that, NOW.

70 minutes? like a whole other movie? I think it was 7 minutes.

doubt it, you'll maybe get 5 r 10mins of flashback, thats IF Hulk is a big player in the movie. I dont think we'll get a DC of TIH simply because the DVD didnt sell well at all for TIH, its a shame but the people didnt think much of the movie.
