I've been thinking of getting a Boba Fett model to stand on my desk, I crave this but at £260 I don't think I can justify it. :(

This is only a cheapy but I'm tempted to buy it. :D

I have to disagree. I actually like the romance in EP2. I think most people were expecting something more like what Han and Leia had in EP5. But in my opinion their romance needed to be much more powerful than what we saw with Han and Leia. It needed to obvious that Anakin was willing to do anything. and that's how it came across to me.

Oh, sorry that's just my opinion. I'm not a big fan of stuff like that in any film. In my entire film collection you'll find very few films that are pure romance. Some may have an aspect like that, but I try to avoid it. :woot: That's just me, though.

Some films, like The Empire Strikes back and The Mummy I can just about tolerate it.

One question: Is there anybody like me who takes Star Wars seriously that any parody is considered offensive?

If it's a parody purely intended to make fun of The Wars? No doubt it's offensive, I can nerd rage all day long to that kind of stuff.

It depends. If it's anything like the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost video, I can have a good laugh at something like that.

If it's outright mocking Star Wars, it's annoying. Especially when it takes jabs at the fans as well.

My thoughts exactly.

Star Wars isn't like the Koran or something. I can take a joke if it's funny.

I watch the Mustafar duel more often than Duel Of The Fates. It's the 10 minutes that the entire prequel trilogy was leading up to. Both great fights, though. (And heck, I wouln't have minded one bit if the Mustafar duel's music was Duel Of The Fates all the way through.)

Thread manager! :argh:

So...that means there was once a Star Wars character with the same name as me who got to date HanSolo. I like that. :woot: :oldrazz:
Damn u :csad: :oldrazz:

That Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon vs Darth Maul duel kicks butt. Duel of the Fates of course only enhances it even more. John Williams really nailed it with the score every single time in my book.

OptimusPrime114: i think there's room for humor when it comes to Star Wars as long as it isnt disrespectful in a tacky manner towards it, including the fans. Stuff like Spaceballs, Robot Chicken and others like that totally crack me up. Like this:

"what the Hell is an Aluminum falcon?!?!":hehe:

Symbiotic: i've been watching the Mustafar duel a lot too lately. I gotta say, my favorite bit is after the initial blastoff when they're going towards the control center. They have a really cool move where Hayden twists that looks awesome.

How about Mustafar uncut? :cwink:

I love the Robot Chicken spoofs!

I also love the guy who does the one-man Star Wars play, where he acts out the entire original trilogy on stage. I saw it when it was in NY, and it was hilarious.

There's this musical on Broadway now called The Book of Mormon, it's by the guys who created South Park and one of the composers from Avenue Q, and it's got some of the funniest Star Wars references I've seen in awhile. It's about Mormon missionaries who go to Uganda to try and convert the people in this village (and yes, it's as offensive as it sounds, which is why I can't post any of the songs here), and no one is really interested, so the geeky missionary starts changing around the Mormon stories to include references to Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. By the end of it, he has everyone believing an evil warlord will be turned into a frog by Boba Fett. :funny:

Check this bad boy out: first look at the Disk 7 menus!

I know i'm gonna get blasted for this, but:

Am I the only one who likes Hayden Christensen as Anakin's force ghost? I know a lot of people don't like it because they feel it was disrespectful to the original actor, but it made sense to me. GL said that redeemed Jedi would revert as a force ghost as they were before they fell to the dark side.
