I've been thinking of getting a Boba Fett model to stand on my desk, I crave this but at £260 I don't think I can justify it. :(

I guess because of my editing background, I am more tolerant of the changes Lucas has made. Lucas has always said he prefers the editing process of film making. Being in editing, I know how things can be created in the editing room from different elements shot for other purposes.

So, I think it's because of this methodology, some of the changes seem off, like ghost Hayden's reaction in Jedi, or the "Noooo!" added to Jedi.

And I just wanted to amend my statement. I don't think everyone who hates the new "Nooo!" doesn't get why Lucas did it. If you get why he did it, but think it's not needed, or poorly executed, or disagree with that decision, that's cool. Art is subjective.

I just was pointing out why I believe Lucas made the change. It doesn't change the meaning of the scene. And remember, the scene is longer than that clip. So there is still more silent contemplation going on before Vader's first "No."

As for me, I didn't need the change, but I do like the symmetry of it all. I just wish it was executed better.

With all due respect, I don't see why any backgroud in editing has any bearing on this, or any other changes whatsoever.
Sure, there have been compalints that it has been edited in badly, but mostly it's about character depiction.

There is always a danger of overdoing it, whether it's editing in films, or in other fields...inking in comics...painting in fine art....the measure of a good artist is to know when to step away from the work, when to know it's as completed as it can be, because you can get carried away playing with the toys.

and aye, I appreciate you went into the reasoning a little more conceptually, bringing up Luke crying out 'Noooo!' in anh as well, but as I was saying, folk were aware of Lucas' reasoning, it mainly an echo of ROTS is enough to go on to figure his thinking.

I watched ROTJ the other night, and I can't see any way that addition could work in the scene without bringing the subtle character play down, no matter how well edited it is.

Lucas will always change Star Wars to continually make it relevant and new. This "definitive" Blu-ray edition is anything but. We'll see at least three more releases on the format.

Here are some things that could easily be changed for future editions...

Episode I:
• CG R2 in Naboo fighter is updated.
• Gungan battle of Naboo has updated CG effects.

Episode II:
• CG on Kamino is updated to alleviate obvious green screen effects.
• C-3PO’s “It’s a nightmare” scene in the droid factory on Geonosis is updated with re-rendered CG.
• Reveal of the Clone army at the end has cleaned up CG effects.

Episode III:
• Lightsabers are fixed so they’re no longer pointed.
• Liam Neeson can be heard when Yoda is meditating.
• Binary sunrise and delivery of the twins has updated CG effects to hide obvious green screen effects.

Episode IV:
• Cleaned up digital “garbage” mattes around ships (especially Tie Fighters).
• Cleaned up effects for laser blasts (Tantive IV, Battle of Yavin).
• CGI Jabba is replaced with a more photorealistic creature similar in appearance to the puppet in ROTJ. Jabba doesn’t walk but instead is on a floating slab lying down being pulled by Twi’lek prostitutes (this would alleviate the tail stepping gag).
• Blood around Ponda Baba’s severed arm is removed and looks cauterized.
• Luke’s lightsaber is finally fixed and consistently blue (aboard the Falcon and in Obi-wan’s hut).
• Darken Darth Vader’s eyes in the scenes when semi-transparent.
• Fixed cuts for R2’s extended leg and lightsabers turning on.
• Fixed lightsabers during Vader/Obi-wan duel (especially when you can see Obi-wan’s lightsaber head on).
• Death Star viewer is replaced by consistent CG display (Alderaan explosion and Yavin countdown).
• Yavin command center now has a CG holographic display in middle (like the Adywan cut).
• Obvious X-wing and Death Star models during the Battle of Yavin are now replaced with CG ships or are enhanced. R2 is also colorized in de-saturated scenes.
• Battle of Yavin slightly re-cut for dramatic purposes (similar to Adywan cut).
• Chewbacca is given a medal at the end ceremony.

Episode V:
• More CG probe droids launched from star destroyer.
• Claymation Tauntauns are smoothed out with digital effects.
• Tauntauns now blink and have digital eyes.
• Cleaned up “garbage” mattes around ships.
• More AT-AT’s and AT-ST’s added to battle of Hoth. More snowspeeders as well as digital mattes added to enhance old ones.
• New CG Dagobah creatures.
• Various CG enhancements to Cloud City effects.
• Puppet Yoda is enhanced with CG to aid in blinking and speech.
• Lightsabers STILL need correction.
• Cut is hidden when door on Bespin closes behind Luke during the duel.
• Wobble on Vader’s helmet is fixed during Bespin duel.
• Various digital zooms added to Battle of Hoth and training on Dagobah.
• Puppet Yoda during backpack training sequence and rock balancing is replaced with a more fluid CG Yoda for wide shots.

Episode VI:
• Jabba the Hutt is now enhanced with CG to match new appearance in ANH.
• Garbage mattes fixed.
• Luke's "force kick" miss is fixed on the sail barge.
• New CG Dagobah creatures.
• Yoda digitally enhanced (blinking and speech).
• Speederbike chase scene is cleaned up to hide obvious models and Ken/Barbie doll Leia/Luke.
• AT-AT on Endor is replaced with a to-scale CG one.
• Roto-scoped Luke during pyre scene is fixed.
• Sebastian Shaw now has a scar above his right eye during unmasking scene.
• Yet again, lightsabers STILL need correction (Vader’s pink lightsaber)
• Emperor’s force lightning cleaned up.
• Ties appearing out of thin air during the Battle of Endor fixed.
• Obvious matte painting of the Falcon behind Han and Lando updated.

Eventually Lucas should release “Extended Editions” with various deleted scenes added to the actual films themselves. This would include…

Episode I:
• Waterfall sequence.
• Dawn before the podrace.
• Complete podrace grid sequence.
• Anakin’s scuffle with Greedo.
• Farewell to Jira.

Episode II:
• Obi-wan has the dart analyzed by droids in the Jedi Temple.
• Obi-wan discusses lost Jedi and the Lost Twenty.
• Obi-wan and Mace landing platform.
• Padmés family on Naboo, humanitarian work.
• Anakin brought before Count Dooku, Naboo joining confederacy.

Episode III:
• Seeds of Rebellion/stirring in the senate/confronting the chancellor
• Plot to Destory the Jedi between Obi-wan, Mace and Yoda.
• Yoda on Dagobah.

Episode IV:
• Biggs talking to Luke and farewell (not with Fixer or Camie watching skys).
• Bast telling Vader about Mos Eisley.

Episode V:
• Wampas at Echo Base and C-3PO setting trap for snowtroopers.
• Bacta tank scene.
• Luke returning to Echo base.

Episode VI:
• Luke’s construction of his lightsaber on Tatooine.
• Darth Vader force chokes Moff Jerjerrod.
• Crix Madine abord Mon Calamari ship during Battle of Endor.
• Cut B-wing fighters during the Battle of Endor.

It is probably one of Gentle Giant's most awesome pieces.

I have a Attakus Han in Carboinite and like I posted before, an Animated Boba Fett with Han in Carbonite.

I can't justify a piece like this as awesome as it is because I have those others. But if I had to rank Fett/with Han statues this is at the top.

I'm trying to be better but sometimes, I just have to give in. I mentioned I'm getting the Sideshow Luke vs. Vader Diorama from Empire.

Watch them do a Leia and Han scene from the Carbon Freezing Chamber.

That's an awesome one, Hunter. It's expensive for sure, but for a big Boba fan like you... you have a lot of will power if you dont go for it, that's all i will say haha

Remember, the idea I had about a Star Wars video game, set in the New Republic era?

Where Asajj Ventress returns to the galaxy, takes control of the Imperial Remnant and vows to rid the galaxy of the Jedi?

I had an ideas for what should be seen in the game:

-Luke Skywalker, along with Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn, join forces to rid the galaxy of Asajj Ventress.

-Luke is visited by the spirit of of his father, Anakin, who then tells Luke about his battles with Ventress (includes flashbacks) during the Clone Wars and how to defeat her.

-A battle between New Republic forces and the Imperial Remnant occurs at Naboo, where Luke and his allies make a final confrontation with Ventress.

-Boba Fett, employed by Asajj Ventress, appears a boss character.

Has there ever been a game so far that has accurately captured the notion of a lightsaber? One of the attractive things about a lightsaber is the power it gives you. One chop and its all over for your opponents. But that can't work for a videogame as it would make it far too easy to progress so they usually just depict the light-saber as some form of blunt instrument that takes several hits to kill something even more so in boss fights and that's never been really satisfying for me. It would be awesome for Lucasarts to come up with a truly innovative real time lightsaber combat system that really make you feel like a Jedi/Sith.

Statue is worthless without Cloud City guys pushing Solo...

Russel, Lucas replacing puppet Yoda in the OOT with cgi would be the last straw and make him the Hitler of cinema.

Well there was a cheat for the Jedi Outcast game which turned the lightsaber into a lightsaber, instant kill in other words. I think that's as close as were gonna get.

Speaking of things we want but can't afford, I really want a full size master replicas lightsaber. I had the Luke ANH LE once but needed money when I was getting married and had to sell it. I have three .45 scaled sabers, the Weathered Kenobi from ANH, Luke from ESB, and the Luke from RotJ, all displayed in one of those display cases and I really love them. But I'm itching for a full size saber again but can't fork over the money right now.

I have the Mace Windu Force Fx lightsaber depicted in my avvy and an Anakin Skywalker one

I have a blue Luke Saber.Got on sale 50 bucks.Have it hanging above my bed.
