EH I disagee . I thought Aotc was clearly Anakin's story &journey . Whether it was the love story/ dealing with his mother or rescuing Obiwan it all came back to Anakin

He becomes an antagonist at the end of ROTS.

There is no protagonist, only an antagonist through Darth Sidious or Count Dooku. The PT is not set up like a quest.
