So is he just doing a voiceover, or is he perhaps in the film? Hmmm...

Well it makes me want a lot more...well played :STR:

It was underwhelming..but it just means if they blow my socks off with the next trailer that I'll quickly forget about this...this has me at least thinking about it.

It sounds like him but I don't think it's him. He has a very specific accent

As far as teasers go, it was pretty teasing, I felt teased, er I guess it did what it meant to.

Interesting anyway, whats up with that lightsaber hilt? Liking the X-Wing flying low over water, very nice shot.

Hard to take away too much from this be it good or bad I guess, but the Falcon flying up and over with the classic SW music playing would have to touch any original trilogy fan in some way.

"There's been an awakening"

Boyega in the first shot. We then see that weird droid, Daisy in a new kind of speeder. Isaac in a Starfighter and skinny Sith in the woods with that weird hilt lightsaber.

The dark side and the light are awake again.

I didn't even realize that was him until the second viewing.

Hyped more than ever now...teaser is excellent!

It was a good teaser, showed a couple of the new characters, and a nice shot of the falcon.

The new lightsaber animation is...well it's different. Should make the fights look interesting what with the ****ing plasma arcing off the blades. I wonder if that's just something the new bad guys lightsaber does?

On another note the visuals have JJ written all over them.

Good teaser.

Quick shots of what I assume are the new main three characters in John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Oscar Issacs.

Also a glimpse of the new villain.

Some of the stuff matched what we have heard rumoured such as John being a Stormtrooper.
I thought it was confirmed he wasn't in the movie?
He was coy about if he was in the movie on the Graham Norton show and he did admit he visited the set.

Cumberbatch voicing a character like James Earl Jones or Brian Blessed isn't out of the question.

Someone please post gifs, i need to see anything to hold me off until tonight :csad:

I liked it and it's made me very eXi Ted...

However, it feels very fan-made-ish. And the very first shot of Boyega feels very humpty-dumpty....I was expecting him ton look into the camera and ask us for directions.

Which is another thing I feared about this movie that I hope isn't in place...There's this movement in storytelling right now (especially superhero movies but children's movies do this too) where every character is self-aware. I get it, it's supposed to be funny, but it's overused I feel and it's a cheap way to try to get the audience on board with your universe by having to poke fun of it themselves. Star Trek has done this as well and I criiiiinge every time.

I hope Star Wars does not but this teaser left me feeling like it's really going to feel like I'm watching a new Star Trek trailer in Star Wars clothing.

Now robot sidekick looks like a soccer ball with a bowl onto of it.

My money is on it being an ancient Sith weapon. So it is probably the new baddies thing.

That was the most Star Wars thing released since 1983. :hubba

As I just said to a buddy on facebook: after 3 crap prequels I can't believe I'm letting that teaser get me hyped :hehe:

I like the new droid. I liked my idea of a hovering/flying droid more (don't know if this one can hover.)
