See I've always had a discussion between what is a geek, a nerd or a dork?

A nerd is someone who's smart, doesn't participate in sports or any type of athletics.

A geek is someone into sci fi, role playing games, he may or may not be smart (nerd).

A dork I someone who isn't smart, doesn't do sports or the interests but looks like and acts like a "nerd or geek".

What qualifies you as a fan? A considerable about of knowledge and love for the series and franchise. You have followed it and enjoyed MOST mof the movies.

That is what I am.

How can you tell if you're a geek?

-If you can name any of the Jedi Council besides Yoda and Mace Windu.

-If you know any other Jedi besides the above two and Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Qui-Gon Jinn.

If you still buy Star Wars toys and merchandise (other than the free stuff when you buy a coke at McDonald's or something) and you are over the age of 12 or 13. Maybe 14.

-If you will go to the movies dressed as a Jedi/Sith Lord/Stormtrooper/Clone Trooper/Darth Vader/any character of the Star Wars universe not covered in this sentence.

-If you still insist that that the movie TPM is a high quality movie.

-George Lucas is an artist who had the whole thing written since the beginning and you also still insist that Lucas never sold himself out to pander to the kiddies and teen demographics.

-If you can name any of hte animals on Hoth.

-If you can tell me what the expanded Universe says happened to the characters after the original trilogy.

If you do or could answer any of the above questions/statements you are a Star Wars geek.

That I am not, I'm a Spider-Man geek! ;) :p

I got 6...
but I still haven't really looked further into Star Wars than the 6 movies...I'll say nerd

My dad was Obi-Wan, 4 or 5 Bounty Hunter masks, a fully equipped Darth Vader COMPLETE with voice changer, lot of guys with their versions of Darth Maul face paint.

Other than that, lots of people in cloaks and lightsabers

If someone would do something like this where i live, there would be several articles about him/her in the newspapers and/or he/she would be on the news :D

It is sad really when you see someone dressed up.

You just feel so bad for them there.

Why is Revenge of the Sith creeping so high on your lists? It is in no way whatsoever as imanginitive, inventive, or as pure fun and entertaining as the orginal SW movie.

ROTJ had the Ewoks, but beyond those things (and they only really annoyed me with their comedic war tactics and their dancing at the end) it was a very good movie. Not nearly as powerful or emotional (and in this case, depressing) as ESB nor as pure fun and inventive as SW but damn good.

ROTS redeemed Lucas. It is good. But the pacing is a bit ackward and it is not as much "imaginitive" or powerful. The story and the acting (yes the acting was fairly good this time) sold it. As did the score and the themes, but the diologue was usually as poor as the other two prequels (save for Palpatine's lines) and as I said it dragged along.

With that said I loved ROTS and will see it again in theaters.

AOTC was pretty good, but Anakin was just written so petulant in that. If he was written more mature (kind of like how he was in ROTS) the movie would have been far better. TPM suffered from the first half being too dull, the diologue trite (like the other two prequels) and between Jake Lloyd's terrible acting and him being written like the happiest boy in the world and not a slave full of anger sank that movie (and then the climax salvaged it a little).

1. Esb
2. Anh
3. Rotj

4. Rots
5. Aotc
6. Tpm

I wanted to dress up as a jedi with a chainsaw but they accept chainsaw in the theatres

1. Empire Strikes Back - This movie will always be the king

2(tie). Star Wars/ROTJ - It's too difficult to choose between these 2.

Anyone see anybody with a ForceFX (google it) saber? If I went last night I'd prolly be the only one there with one. :(

This toolbag in my theater had one, he was poking people in the ass with it as they walked by. On top of that he had his collar popped like a total *****bag...

I saw one guy with a full Vader costume including a nifty light-up lightsaber. This was at an early advance screening, not the midnight shows. The only thing was that the guy wearing the Vader costume weighed like 400 lbs. So picture that for a second.

Well, ROTJ just wasn't as great as the first two.
