I imagine they didn't do those things because they were bad ideas.:oldrazz:

Oh well everybody has one or ten unpopular and polarizing films that they like.
They were good ideas but most people shoot them down because James Cameron didn't do those.

Easily the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. I actually like those films and have come to heavily dislike the newer Star Trek films. They're the only two movies in the last decade where I can honestly say are way, way overrated.

Anytime you involve Star Wars or Batman, things get...UGLY!

I own the Abrams star trek movies. Like them too. Can't stand the old trek movies until you get to the next generation crew movies. Those are boring as hell.

I've been watching the prequels this week, saw Episodes I and II so far. They are still entertaining for me, they have their moments. The latest Star Trek films more so.

But I'd give it to Star Wars just because it's an original idea by the original creator. I know making any film is a challenge and a great film even more so, but the way I see it, it's easier to reboot a series after a few years than create an original story after two decades. Maybe that's just me.

Star wars will never be rebooted. They will just do spin offs or continue the story/series. The series has been going since 77 and still amazingly strong with fans and box office.

In Star Trek 2009, Kirk was a jerk! He cheated on the Kobayashi Maru eating an apple and didn't care that it was so obvious he did cheat. When he got back on the ship he told Spock he never love his mother just to piss off Spock to get the captains chair, what a dick movie! In term of inaccurate science it was said that a star that went supernovae would destroy the galaxy, which is completely inaccurate.

That's true. Kirk had to convince Spock that he has been "emotionally compromised" by the losses of his mother and his home planet Vulcan... even if it meant acting like a major dick to him.

It wasn't the reason he did it, it was how he did it, it was a dick movie!

Don't get me started on that scene where Kirk causes Spock to lose his cool. It's one of the worst written scenes I've seen in a Star Trek movie and makes me want to shut off the movie. The way Kirk ever gets the captain's chair by the end of the movie is just laughable at best and shows how incompetent Starfleet is in the new series. It's just so irritating to see how low Star Trek has sunk. :cmad:

Desperate times, desperate measures.

The end justifies the means. My favorite heroes don't live by that, they retain their integrity even to the end where it seams there's no better option than to die by it. Honor means everything and self sacrifice too. Heroes always do the right thing, always! They would rather die than to sacrafice their morals and their honor. I guess people have forgotten what a hero is!

The 2009 Star Trek film is still better than those crappy Star Wars prequels.

Still better than any of the crap in the prequels.
