I was looking at these helmets from the Hasbro Toyfair pics and the white one is clearly influenced heavily by McQuarrie's Snowtrooper, but the black one is intriguing, maybe an early version of the Imperial Gunner?

Well the characters look interesting enough (and pretty diverse to). The animation look decent. Now it's just a question of whether the writing will be good or not.

Hard to get excited about the footage, when all I want to see are the original trio, Obi-Wan, Tarkin and Vader.

But I like what I see. I like the idea of the young Force sensitive kid being mentored in such a time. This will basically be what would have happened had Obi-Wan not died on the Death Star.

This is why I wish this was set closer to Episode III. Watching Tarkin & Anakin in Clone Wars, I'd like to see their relationship to continue.

I agree! If it wasn't the same team, I'd be weary, but ever since they told us it'd be Filoni and crew on board, I was sold. Total faith in them.
