I've yet to watch this, but whats the deal with the episodes being available online?

I thought the new ones aired on Friday's?

Rebels premiered on Friday the 3rd on the Disney Channel, but it will not usually air on Fridays, nor will it normally be found on the Disney Channel. Its normal timeslot will be Mondays at 9pm on Disney XD.

"Spark Of Rebellion" can be found...in the usual places online.

"Droids In Distress" was released for free early on ITunes and on the WatchDisneyXD app, which is why you can also locate it...in the usual places online.

Deadline - ‘Star Wars Rebels: Spark Of Rebellion’ To Air On ABC — With A Dark Side

The hourlong animated movie that launched the Star Wars Rebels series last week is set to air on ABC at 7 PM October 26 — and it will include an evil visitor with a chillingly familiar voice. Darth Vader himself will have a cameo during an added scene in Star Wars Rebels: Spark Of Rebellion. His voice will be supplied by James Earl Jones, whose menacing pipes rattled so many enemies — and colleagues — in the original Star Wars trilogy.

While I'm sure most of us figured Vader would appear at some point during this series, I'm really surprised they're pulling out their biggest gun this early. As I mentioned regarding the "Droids In Distress" episode, I thought they would at least want to spend this first season establishing who the lead characters are, how they interact with one another, who their enemies are, who their allies are, etc. before they began incorporating the more familiar names. Don't get me wrong, it'll be great to see Vader...especially with him being voiced by James Earl Jones! I just thought it would be a while before he made an appearance.

And, yes, I wouldn't want the regular Spark Of Rebellion dvd now...I'd want a "special edition" version with the Vader scene. Maybe it will be included on a full season dvd set.

Off topic, but how old would Luke and Leia be at this point?

It would be annoying to me but I stopped watching TV live completely and Rebels will probably repeat alot. Disney XD have been showing Rebels like twice a day, it will definitely re-air.

It's smart to include Vader because this is Rebels' biggest platform and he's extremely popular, so it could get more viewers interested. My complaint is that this is airing after the 3rd episode on Disney XD rather than before.

I dont watch live tv either, but my dvr can only record two things at once so the 9 PM slot on mondays is full on my DVR. As long as they replay each episode I will be fine, but Ill have to remember to set each episode every week, because I cant set a series to only record repeat episodes.

The 9 PM thing doesnt make any sense to me tho. Its Disney XD and its biggest audience is kids with bedtimes.

It's great how the show can really entertain kids while tending to the wants of the adult fanbase. Which is really Star Wars at its best, IMO. (I'm looking at you, youngling-killer Anakin).

So Luke and Leia would be 14? They must make an appearance at some point. Along with Vader (not counting the added scene), Fett, maybe Yoda?? I don't care if it's just a scene of him sipping Dagobah swamp soup, I am so game for cameos in this series.

Teenagers watch Disney XD as well and Teenagers can stay up past 9 PM with no issues from parents.

They have Lab Rats, a teenager show, and Wreck It Ralph to lead into Star Wars Rebels on October 13, 2014.

Written by Greg Weisman.

Star Wars: Kanan #1 is a new ongoing series launching in April, 2015. The first arc will be by Greg Weisman and Pepe Larraz, and it explores Kanan's backstory starting with Order 66. The arc is called "The Last Padawan." It will follow how Kanan escaped the extinction of the Jedi and his origin on the run as a young trainee.

Yeah, I will definitely be getting that comic!

I like the art, they really are putting a lot into developing Kanan, first with the novel 'A New Dawn' and now his own comics series. I wonder if there is a plan to have him in Episode VIII.

Hell yeah! Was hoping we'd get more stuff on Kanan. And we get to see more of his relationship with Master Billaba, which should really be interesting. See how far he was into his Jedi training. Which would give an indication of how far he can take Ezra.

Some speculation on that for me, would be Ezra wants to learn more, but Kanan simply doesn't have the knowledge, and Ezra ends up turning to the dark side because of it. I don't know, might not happen and is already previous treaded ground. Just thought I'd put it out there.

I do think they wasted what could have been a good plot twist (or surprise, rather) with Kanan.

The revelation of him being a Jedi isn't really a revelation at all.

I realize that might have been hard to keep a secret, but they really didn't even bother.

I think they had to promote the show with knowing that their is a Jedi in it though. If it was a show about a bunch of rebels, without any special ability, people wouldn't have been that drawn to it. Of coarse you'd have the loyalists watching every episode because it's Star Wars. But when people think of Star Wars, they think of that lightsaber being ignited. People see that in previews and promotions and are instantly more drawn.

Although, if I think about it more, take away Kanan, and Ezra becomes a way more interesting character. Him having the ability of using the Force and not having anyone to guide and mold that into the right way, the Jedi way. I do really hope we get an episode of Ezra building his own lightsaber and showing the audience how it's done.

Just watched the Droid episode. Another great one! This show is really shaping up to being something special. I just get that "Star Wars" feel, every time I watch it. Loved seeing R2 and C3P0

There's a fan theory floating around that Max von Sydow could be playing Kanan.
