While everyone stands around on the ground discussing the Empire's ultimate goal of the attack on Corellia, and watching as some of the Imperial troopers are rounded up by New Republic troops as well as CorSec agents, Leia hears the comling on her belt beep. She silently excuses herself and listens to the being on the other end.

"Yes, I'll pass along the message." she says as she switches the comlink off.

She turns to the rest of the group, who are looking to her, expecting the worst possible news.

"That was one of Admiral Ackbar's aides. He wanted to let us know that the system is clear, and we are to return to Coruscant for a full debriefing."

I let Barrett's comment about my naivete slide. It's been years since we last dealt with one another, and even I have to admit to how naive I could be back then. Besides, a little naivete keeps a Jedi honest. When one believes in the inherent good of people, it can be a blessing. If it wasn't for my 'naivete', I would never have been able to save my father.

I stand by silently as everyone tries to figure out what the Empire's motives are. I just pat Fluffy's hand, and he whimpers happily. I'll be interested to learn the story of why he took to me so readily, but I get the impression that's going to have to wait for a much later time.

"Whatever the Empire's endgame, I think we can all agree that their new leader is more than a few steps ahead of us. At least with the Emperor we had an idea of what was going on. Now...it's completely different. It feels like...it feels like what we used to do to the Empire. Hit and run. Keep them off balance. Disrupt their lines. Take away the trust their worlds gave them. The more I think about it...that's exactly what's happening. They're probing our lines. They're using our own tactics against us, only better."

Barrett puts out his cigar and smirks at Skywalker for a moment and says, "Now that's a good theory to start to build on Skywalker. I can see your line of thinking on this one not bad at all."

He takes a look at the gathering and says, "And that leads to one question; why this planet? They didn't just pick this out of the air there is always a motive for something like this."

Barrett lights another cigar and says, "Not to mention the attack on the station. It's a vital cog in this system they had to know it would get the big guns for the alliance out, but then again why not destroy the station especially with Han & Leia on it. Take out two vital leaders for the alliance. What if this was for lack of a better term a test? ."

He takes a long drag and blows out a smoke ring and looks right at Luke.

"That's a scary thought. Unless...unless we were an accident. They didn't count on us. Think about it, we got here before the fleet. And the first thing we did was defend Centerpoint. I think...I think they might have been trying to take the station. And when they couldn't, they made sure we couldn't have it either."

"I guess that means we leave it to the Admiral to figure out."
I look up at my new friend and an idea hits me. "Has anyone seen Boloon?"

"I guess that means we leave it to the Admiral to figure out." I look up at my new friend and an idea hits me. "Has anyone seen Boloon?"

"He was with the Dreams, helping relocate the refugees to the Errant Venture." Joren says as he considers what Leia had said.

"I suppose I should be getting back to the Dreams, If we're going to be traveling back to Coruscant, I would like to ride with them."

"That's a scary thought. Unless...unless we were an accident. They didn't count on us. Think about it, we got here before the fleet. And the first thing we did was defend Centerpoint. I think...I think they might have been trying to take the station. And when they couldn't, they made sure we couldn't have it either."

Barrett shakes his head slowly and says, "Only one flaw with that theory. Centerpoint is not destroyed it can be refitted and back on-line in a matter of months. If they destroy it, even with their own troops on-board which they aren't above killing, that's it. It's over there is no refitting and we lose a key cog here in this system. We would have to spend years and massive amounts of resources to rebuild it. Worse, besides loss of life, if Centerpoint is destroyed it makes the Alliance look weak in this system."

He hears about the debriefing and says, "Well since technically my unit doesn't exist we need to move on for our own debriefing."

Barrett opens his comm-link and says, "Hernandez key in on my signal pick us up. Everyone else meet on my signal we're out in 5 minutes."

He closes his comm-link and says, "Need anything again call us."

Barrett nods to the group and starts to walk away.

"The report from Corellia, Mandalore," Fives says as he places a data pad down in front of me. I begin to flip through the data on it as he continues, "CorSec succeeded in holding the attack off until Rogue Squadron and the New Republic Defense Force arrived and drove off the Empire. There are reports of the Empire utilizing rancors to attack the planet's surface, and we also have eyewitness accounts of Jedi on the scene other than Luke Skywalker. It looks like he may be training more of them. Apparently the Empire also disabled Centerpoint Station."

I rub my chin, obviously worried. The Empire struck hard and fast here, without warning or mercy. Rancors are viscious beasts, and using them against civilians is one of the most dishonorable things I've ever heard of. They aren't messing around anymore. That's to be sure.

But the thought of new Jedi patrolling the Galaxy does give me hope, "So he's training a new generation? Good."

"Sir? I find it difficult to believe that our people will feel the same."

"Fives, our quarrel with the Jedi is ancient history. They'll find that out eventually," I respond. "What's more troubling is the random attack on Corellia. I want you to put the troops through more and more emergancy drills. I want them to be ready in case they show up here."

As General Barrett turns to leave, I look over at Luke, "Master Skywalker, I was wondering if I could check on my family before heading back to Coruscant. If need be I can rendezvous with you after you get there."

"Sure, sure. What else do you have for me today, nut job?" the detective asks as the other security force officers stand behind him and scoff at the question. Ever since I told them I knew Leia Organa, they've been laughing and pestering me. It's taken all my control to keep from having another meltdown like the ones that have been happening.

"I've told you all I have to tell you," I respond with a sigh. "I helped put together the Rebellion with general Rahm Kota. We allied the Organas with Mon Mothma and Garm bel Ibis. You don't have to believe me, but it's the truth."

"Geez buddy, if you weren't so dangerous, I;d have you moved to the psych ward," he laughs as they all walk away, leaving me yet again alone in my cell.

As General Barrett turns to leave, I look over at Luke, "Master Skywalker, I was wondering if I could check on my family before heading back to Coruscant. If need be I can rendezvous with you after you get there."

"Of course you can, Huc. Take all the time you need. After Coruscant I plan on returning to Yavin. You can find me there if we're done on Coruscant first."

Then something occurs to me I and I sigh defeated. "I left my x-wing in the forest....Artoo is not going to be happy."

As Luke and the others go their seperate ways, Joren heads off in the direction of the Falcon with Leia and Han.

"I suppose we should get a move on, I'd hate to keep Mon Mothma and the rest of the Council waiting."

Hernandez lands the ship nearby and everyone boards.

They take off and Barrett says to Hernandez, "Once we break orbit engage the Autopilot and the regular Hyperdrive. I don't want to over use the trans-hyper drive. Once you do that meet me in the bridge we'll have our own debriefing session."

Hernandez joins the others and Barrett looks at the assembled troops he then lays into the troops with a blistering lecture about what almost went wrong on the surface and how things didn't go according to plan at all.

He ends his tirade with, "Be expecting a nightmare scenario in the trans-sim chamber tomorrow morning at 0500!"

Barrett looks around and says, "If history has taught us all one thing it is rarely if ever do thing go exactly according to plan, and with that in mind if we were in the alliance I would recommend all of you...for a promotion."

Everyone has a puzzled look on their face and Barrett says, "You all carried out your assignments to the best of your abilites under some very difficult circumstances, and since things don't always go according to plan I have a two-step criteria on whether a mission is a success or not. 1) Did we hold our ground? yes we did and we helped drive out the Imperial Troops 2) Are we all going home in one peice? Yes we are."

The troops look almost relieved and Barrett says, "Don't get me wrong there's still lots of things we can work on, but all of you more than proved yourselves. What made it all possible you stopped thinking as a unit and started thinking as a team. You trusted one another and that will serve us well in the future Good work."

From General Barrett "Good Work" was praise from on high.

He then walks over to a locker and says, "Remember tomorrow 0500 a nightmare awaits, but that is tomorrow for now though"

Barrett presses a button on the locker and he pulls out a bottle and puts it on the table. Everyone looks at the bottle and is stunned.

Barrett says, "I know Mandolarian Whiskey is illegal and I only use it for medicinal puroposes. I know a smuggler who brings me a bottle or two every now and then."

He opens the bottle and says, "Since we don't exisit neither does this bottle so with that in mind. Everyone takes a swig this is how we end a debriefing"

Barrett raises the bottle and says, "To our team!"

He takes a swig and passes it to Hernandez and Hernandez says, "To our team!"

Everyone takes a swig and Barrett closes the bottle and stores it.

He says, "All-right everyone rest up and when we get back, replenish your gear, store it and call it. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day."

Once everyone settles down he goes back into his command room and links up with the trans-sim chamber computer at the base. He enters in the following

Scenario: Battle of Endor.

Variables: Supply Shuttle crashed along with support troop shuttle, Bio-agent destroys Ewoks.

Objective: Take down the shield generator.

Barrett smiles very widely when he hits the commit command.

"Sounds like a plan." Joren says as he reaches into his belt for his comlink, preparing to contact The Dreams.

"Arsix," I say into my comm back to my ship, "bring the fighter to my position. We're heading back towards CorSec headquarters."

After a few moments, the X-wing lands next to us, and I hop in, "I'll contact you guys once I'm done here and rendezvous with you then."

I take off in the X-wing, leaving my friends behind. I push the the thrusters as fast as legally possible in the airspace towards the CorSec tower. I get clearance from the air traffic controller to land, and settle down on a landing pad extremely close to the control spire.

Before I head out, my comm springs to life, "Huc, you there?"

"Yea, Mission, what's up?" I respond with a smile, knowing she's okay.

"Nothing I...heard about the rancors and wanted to make sure you're okay," she says relieved.

"I'm fine. But Master Skywalker and the others are heading for Coruscant for debriefing. I'm sure he'll want you there. Head to the Dreams and rendezvous with Joren there," I say, passing on the orders from Councilor Organa.

"Okay," she responds. "Be safe. May the Force be with you."

"You too," I respond breaking off the connection.

Hopping out of the cockpit, I dash towards where I know my father would be after something like this. The control spire lift is down, forcing me to trudge up the steps, something I'm not very happy about doing after going toe-to-toe with a rancor.

After a fifteen minute climb, I make it to the top, and find my father along with other senior officers hunched over a holomap, no doubt overlooking the carnage that has just transpired.

As I enter the room, someone ambushes me with a hug, and I turn to find my mother smiling at me, "I'm so glad to see your safe."

"Come on mom...I'm a Jedi," I smile as I approach my father. "Need anything form me, sir?"

"Well, well, if it isn't the rancor hunter," he says with a big smile on his face. "The boys caught the action on the holo. You're gonna be the toast of Corellia, boy. They're gonna name a whiskey after you, I bet."

"Dad, thanks," I smile sheepishly. Glory isn't my cup of tea. "But there's more important things to deal with. Like the rebuilding of the cities. The setting up of refugee camps-"

"Relax, son. We'll deal with that as the time progresses. I've already sent clean up crews throughout the city, and prefabricated shelters are being set up for the homeless," he responds, matter of factly. And then he notices the confused face I'm giving him. He's been high ranking in CorSec for a while, but not high ranking enough to be the one coordinating the clean up, "I've been promoted. Your looking at one of the highest ranking officers in CorSec now, son. Thanks to the Empire. Bastards killed almost half our chain of command."

"We'll make sure this never happens again, dad," I respond with conviction. "I'm sure the Republic will have a plan of attack. We'll find who did this and make sure he stands trial."

"I know you will, son," he responds, tossing me a datapad. "In the mean time, I need you to check out the government section. It was hit pretty hard and we've lost contact with the sector's senate. I want you to make sure their okay."

"Can do, dad," I say, turning back towards my ship.

After returning to the Errant Venture and rendezvousing with Dono and the rest of the crew of the Dreams, they had to wait a short while for Luke to arrive in his X-Wing. After getting the ship loaded into the customized cargo hold, they lifted off and made their way out of the Venture's docking bay.

As the ship pulls away from the large red Star Destroyer, Joren makes his way to the cockpit where Nyna and Kelsa pilot the ship. After several minutes of small talk, he announces that he is going to go to his quarters to get some rest, and Kelsa offers to go with him.

He nods his head and motions for her to follow. It has been awhile since they have had the chance to spend any time together, and he is looking forward to taking advantage of the downtime that the trip back to Coruscant will afford them.

As the door to Joren's door slides shut behind them, the stars stretch to starlines, and the Dreams enters hyperspace.

Several hours after the Iron Fist came out of hyperspace above the world of Dathomir, Zsinj emerges from his quarters to stand on the bridge of his flag ship.

The Grand Moff is still fuming over his defeat at Corellia, though few members of his Imperial Navy are looking at the operation as a failure, even Thrawn sent a message of congratulations, even if it was simply an artful display of false pride in his efforts. Afterall, Zsinj had disrupted several trade routes that run directly through the system, cutting off vital resources to the New Republic all the while undermining the fledgling government's stability in the eyes of potential member systems...not to mention making a mess of the planet of Corellia itself, the rebuilding efforts will keep the system out of the war for a long time to come.

But he failed to aquire Centerpoint Station. Although he did succeed in disabling the massive station, the fact that he was unable to aquire the deadliest weapon in the galaxy has eaten away at him since they withdrew from the Corellian system...made all the worse by the fact that his troops had been so close to taking the station...if it hadn't been for Han Solo and his friends.

Zsinj takes Solo's interference as a personal affront, and will not let that stand. He has thought about it over and over all during the return trip home, until a plan began to form.

He walks over to a member of the bridge crew, the young man growing very nervous as the Moff approaches.

"Ensign, I want you to get Captain Tylon from his quarters. I have a mission for him, and wish to discuss it with him personally. And while we discuss that, I want you to ensure that a shuttle is readied...The good captain will be going planetside immediately."

"Of course sir. Where should I tell the pilots they will be going?"

"The Nightsisters' encampment. We have some urgent matters to discuss with Gethzerion."

I knock on the door, forgoing the usual signal. It slides open, and Kam stands on the other side. The wave of emotions is a difficult mix to sort through, but it's obvious he's not even trying to hold his feelings in check.

"May I come in?" He shrugs noncommittally, but doesn't close the door on me. I take that as a positive sign. Tucking my hands into the sleeves of my robe, I step inside, the door automatically sliding shut behind me.

He sits at the table in the quarters and I notice he's procured a bottle of something obviously alcoholic.

"What's that?" I ask, trying to start the conversation.

He shrugs again. "It's green."

"Ah," I reply. "Where'd you find it?"

"Around."

"Ah," I say again. I look out the window, hyperspace filling the view. Fine, if he wants to be blunt... "How are you feeling?"

I feel the rage as Kam throws the bottle at me. I quickly pull my hand free and stop it in mid-air. Even stopping the spilling liquid. I focus, righting the bottle and guiding its contents back inside before resting on the table in front of him.

"...thanks," he grunts, pouring himself another glassful.

I take the chair opposite him, but say nothing. I just patiently look at him, letting my calm resonate. He avoids my stare with another glass while mumbling something incoherent, but likely obscene. After what seems like an eternity, the silence is finally broken.

"The Emperor trained me, you know."

I'm actually surprised. "No, I didn't."

"You...didn't?"

"Should I have known?"

"I thought it'd be obvious. Why would Palpatine let anyone roam around that wasn't under his control?"

I smile slightly. "The Emperor wasn't all-powerful, despite believing himself to be. I've met plenty of Force wielders not under his control. I wouldn't be here without two of them. Three, actually."

"Three?"

"The first two trained me. The third...well, let's just say that we saved each other."

Kam grunts, this time only taking a sip from the glass. I take that as another positive sign. "So now you're trying to save me?"

"Do you need saved?"

"...I don't know."

"Should you be saved?"

I can tell by the surprise in his face that I caught him off guard with that one. "I...don't...no...no, probably not."

"That sounds like a good reason why you should be?"

"What?"

I ignore his question, deciding to let him think about it for himself. "We're traveling to Coruscant."

"Ah. Are you going to turn me in when we get there?"

"Why would I?"

I catch him by surprise again. "Why wouldn't you?"

"Because you haven't committed any crimes that I know of."

This time he looks outright stunned. "I tried to kill you!"

"And you didn't. I'm not inclined to hold grudges or press charges."

"But I've done so many things..."

"Of which I don't know about. And I don't need to know." He doesn't say anything. I'm not sure he knows what to say. "I can feel the good within you, Kam. Despite what you may think about yourself."

"I deserve-"

"Whatever punishment you think you deserve, I can see you're already giving it to yourself. That's how I know you're a good man."

I stand up and notice, for the first time since we started talking, he's not taking a drink from the glass. "After we're debriefed on Coruscant, we're heading back to Yavin to continue our Jedi training. I hope you'll join us." I step to the door, and it opens.

"I'm no Jedi."

"Neither was I."

I walk outside, and the door seals him off with his thoughts. I start walking towards my quarters, but as I turn the corner, I notice a bit of colored light that's out of place. I quickly look back, and it's gone. But I saw something. I know I did.

I could swear Obi-Wan was smiling...

After going through the arduous task of healing the various wounded denizens of Hollowtown and relocating them onto the Errant Venture, I was exhausted but nonetheless happy to have helped these people in need. I was quite relieved to sense that Mister Kel, Skywalker, Solo, and Councilor Organa have returned to the Venture safely. The Star Destroyers have left the system and it appears the Republic has won the battle. I left the Dreams and greeted Joren as he entered his ship and then made my way to the Millennium Falcon to congratulate the others on their safe return.

“Mister Solo, Mister Chewbacca, Councilor Organa, it’s a pleasure to see you have arrived safely! The Empire was defeated and driven off-world, I take it?”

"What do you think?" the head guard to says to one of his underlings. "Should I tell anyone about him? He's probably just insane."

"I don't know," the other one shrugs. "Might as well. It couldn't hurt could it?"

The first nods and heads back to his office to send out a communication, "This is Senior Officer Dar of the Coruscant Correctional Prison contacting Councilor Leia Organa. We've got an inmate here who says he knows you, and that you can vouch for him. If you wouldn't mind coming down here we'd love for you to talk to him."

Aster Officer Dar's message was bounced from aide to aide, it finally made it to Winter, who listened as the senior officer explained the situation.

"Thank you Officer Dar, I will be sure to give the Councilor your message, and I'm sure once we return to Coruscant she will be more than happy to meet this prisoner to verify the validity of his claim." She says as she closed the line before opening another.

"Your Majesty, this is Winter, we need to get back to Coruscant as soon as possible, there seems to be a situation there that needs your attention."

Joren sits in the crew lounge alongside Luke, Kam and Dono as Nyna and Kelsa bring the Dreams out of hyperspace, with Coruscant laid out before them. He can hear as Coruscanti air traffic control assigns the Dreams a landing pad near the former Imperial Palace.

As Nyna brings the ship to its birth and opens the ramp, Joren can see several representatives from the provisional council as well as Coruscanti security waiting on the landing pad.

Joren gets up with the others and begins to make his way to the ramp, turns to Luke and says, "Stick me in front of a garrison of stormtroopers and I'm fine, but I don't think I'll ever get used to dealing with beaurocrats."

The CorSec speeder comes to a stop at the entrance to the planetary senate building, and the devestation I find surprises me. The Empire must have focused it's bombarment on the area, and I can see a rancor corpse being cleaned up on the far end of the plaza.

I hop out of the speeder and approach the officer in charge, "Sir, Huc Vondar, reporting for extraction duty. Commander Vondar sent me to get to the people inside the senate."

"So you're the dope that they roped into that job, eh," he chuckles. "Glad they sent someone. I'm not wasting any of my men."

"What's your name, soldier?" I ask, a little annoyed at the man's insubordination and cowardice.

"Sergeant Bleys Pavan, why?"

"Because when I get out of here you,re going to get court martialed for cowardice," I reply heading into the rubble.
