I'll probaby get to Hellboy sunday night or tuesday morning....I have my trip to SD on the 22nd, so I'm trying to save as much money as humanly possible

I like it so far....bringing in Woolsey has actually brought a new dynamic to how Sheppard isn't going to have carte blanche like he did with Dr. Weir and Carter....

So, hey, the last episode of Atlantis was actually pretty good. It had the same basic plot as every other Stargate Atlantis episode--team goes on a mission, something goes awry, Sheppard and Ronon shoot people while McKay panics and works on some techie solution, everything works out fine, and everyone's back on Atlantis in time for some emotional bonding before the credits roll--but it was still pretty exciting. I'm intrigued about the alternaverse dudes. I hope they have an interesting story behind them and they're not just bald Wraith with glowy things in their heads, but their introduction in this episode was enigmatic and got me wondering about who they are and what their motives are, so that's a good start.

I hope we see them again and they weren't just for this episode.

I read somewhere that Atlantis was getting a new recurring enemy, so I bet they'll come back.

Id forgotten that id seen the photos of those new badguys so I originally thought that ship could have been a more technically advanced Wraith. The fighter ships they sent out looked and sounded a lot like darts to me.

Yeah, but I think that's just a stock sound effect they threw in there. Doesn't the puddle jumper make a similar sound, just in a slightly different pitch?

Not as similar as these were. But it doesnt matter anyway, just made me think of darts when I first heard/saw them.

I heard it to, but they were probably just reusing the sound to save money.

I just watched Continuum last night. It was actually really good, I thought. It played out like an extended episode, but that worked well enough for me. Mitchell finally felt like a real part of the team instead of the fanboy who made good, too. It was great seeing the Goa'uld back in action, even though I thought the Ba'al/Qetesh thing had an unsatisfying conclusion. Overall, it was fun to get back into the SG-1 universe and feel that comfortable familiarity again.

Yeah I watched it over the weekend a couple times, and found myself liking it more than AOT. Yeah the familiarity of it all was very nice, felt it had a good flow to it.

As far as those new dudes on Atlantis, I hope they are coming back, they at least looked menacing. I've always felt the Wraith kind of looked dainty, at least the commander guys.

I liked Continuum as well...I was a fan of Mitchell from the start but it was cool to see him really step into that command role

Once he's separated from the stigma of Jack leaving and he's had a chance to come into his own so you can respect him as an airman in his own right rather than just "the new guy," he's a pretty good character. I'd love to see him do an episode of Atlantis and bond with Sheppard. They're a lot alike.

I think my problem with Mitchell is that there still isnt much point in him. Yeah in Continuum he finally gets to step up a bit but with him it always feels to me like Carter or someone else could have done what he does in episodes quite easily.

He's the soldier. Carter's the scientist, Daniel's the archaeologist, Teal'c's the alien badass, so Mitchell gets to be the soldier. He's the guy who plants the charges and kicks almost as much ass as Teal'c while Carter and/or Daniel are trying to solve some puzzle.

remember when Mitchell was supposed to be the crack 302 pilot... yet in two seasons, and 2 movies, he has only flown in a short 20s flashback and in Continuum(where they were pretty much just cruising the whole time). That was the biggest failure with mitchell as a character for me

Yeah, I'd love to see him fly some more. I'd say the opportunity never really arises, but they seem to have gotten Sheppard into plenty of flying machines over in Atlantis. :o

I could have sworn that Cam flew in at least a copuld of episodes.
