Jason Momoa (Ronon) was recently attacked in a Hollywood bar... got into an arguement with a pint glass wielding guy... got the afore mentioned glass smashed in his face.

140 stitches and 'reconstructive surgury' but the police have caught and charged the guy... who could apparently get up to 7 years in prison for the assault

that was an enjoyable epi actually. Maybe it's about time they start focussing the stories on the wrap up, instead of these single servings.

Momoa will look even cooler now, a nice inkvine scar would complete his persona

However injured he was i've heard that he's still attending a convention this weekend. so either he's a tougher bastard than we know or it wasn't as bad as we were lead to believe.

quite enjoyed the last episode, Always been a fan of McKay in SG:A and i've ben a Staite fan since Firefly. Loved the 'Hawkings' cameo.....

I believe we are about where TPTB were in filming when they got the dreaded news. So i'm not really expecting much in the way of wrapping up of storylines... specially as there's at least one SG:A movie in the works.

McKay and Keller together make me feel awkward. It doesn't seem right. I was hoping she'd pick Ronon, but oh well. The episode itself was all right. I love Dave Foley, so seeing him try to out-McKay McKay was fun. Bill Nye's cameo was funnier than I expected, too.

damn, i still cant believe its getting cancelled and they're picking up Stargate: The OC.

Hey, how come nobody commented on McKay and Keller joining the mile high club.

*snicker*

that was quite the surprise ending.....having seen the promo pictures i was expecting a kiss, but not implied mile high activities....

am i the only one that thought Jewel looked hotter in that final scene than in the rest of the episode?

Loved the Steven Hawkings 'cameo''

urgh, I mean come on. I think I already saw this episode of stargate, TWICE before. Poor form. Especially given this is one of the last episodes.

Considering the cancellation announcement came mid-season, this episode was probably filmed already....

that chick was pretty hot thought....and IMO Dr. Keller doesn't do it for me, I miss Carson

I dunno, she was alright. No where near as hot as Picardo's secretary... amelia?

just dissappointed. Can't they find anything more interesting to do with that blasted Ancient communicator? I mean honestly, they could use it during the usual 'recap' episode having someone on Atlantis reporting in at the SGC, 'through' another character. That would be far more interesting than this pieced together botched bank robbery.

The best use of that thing was the episode where Vala gave them a whole breakdown of an Ori occupation....

nope, the best use was the one with the barber, although it was just the initial peices of the junk.

This show deserves to be cancelled. Next to last episode and they're still airing filler episodes. I think even the series finale is going to be end up be a filler.

I hope most of you realize that the announcement to cancel came long after this season was already done filming....they were probably operating thinking they would get at least one more season or at least half a season

No it didn't. They still had a few episodes to shoot. But it would have been far too late to change the production schedule.

Thanks, I did not know that....I always figured Sci Fi just shot everything at once....

i may be wrong but i think they were filming this one when they got the news? it was definately one with Zalenka

I think it's fair to say that given the climate of the TV world, one would plan to have ones seasons set up so that any season finale, can easily be transformed into a series finale. But it's not even that... even if this episode was finished before the news of cancellation, it was just lame. Even if they were operating under the assumption of another season, this episode would have been crap either way.

Yeah, this was defnitely not one of the better episodes. It was nice to see ol' Carson 2.0 again, though.

Vegas and Enemy at the gate info

Vegas

Police find a desiccated corpse on a desert road outside Las Vegas, Nevada, the seventh victim of a bizarre serial killer. Detective John Sheppard, called in to assist, is baffled by these murders. Then a clue, traces of radiation found on the bodies, leads him to a strange looking man with super human attributes who easily evades capture.

Some time later, Sheppard is detained and driven to Area 51. There he meets Dr. Rodney McKay who reveals that the suspect is, in fact, an alien -- a Wraith -- who feeds on human energy. What's more, McKay and his team have traveled to Earth from the Pegasus Galaxy, by way of a Stargate, to prevent this Wraith from compromising the security of the planet. But so far, Sheppard is the only one who's been able to get close to him.

Enemy at the Gate

Todd contacts Atlantis and reveals that a Wraith subordinate has managed to acquire several Zero Point Modules that he has used to power a formidable new hive ship. He urges Woolsey to attack and destroy before it becomes a threat to Atlantis.

On board the Daedalus, Colonel Caldwell, Colonel Sheppard and the rest of the team, rush to engage the new hive ship. But the Z.P.M. powered vessel proves itself an impressive opponent, crippling the Daedalus before making a sudden and inexplicable jump into hyperspace.

Puzzled over the Wraith's sudden departure, the team picks up a weak subspace signal in Wraith code. McKay is quick to recognize that the communique was sent, through subspace, from another reality. Once deciphered, their worst fears are realized. The Wraith message contains a familiar set of coordinates. The hive ship is on its way to Earth!

So... "Vegas" is some kind of alternate-reality or mind-alteration story? "Detective John Sheppard"?

"Enemy at the Gate" sounds like fun. Story's been done a zillion times in Stargate, but it usually makes for some fun space battles and politics, so I'm okay with it.
