i do hope...

that Telford's seeder ship survives...

Wonder what Chloe did?

I really doubt that since it's survival leaves the way home possible and there is no way that the writers will do that at this point.

As for Chloe I have no idea, it's either going to be something really anti-climatic like restoring the hyperdrives or something interesting like arming the ships real main weapons. An outside chance is calling in the blue aliens but that would be bad writing since there really should be no way that those guys are close enough to "come to the rescue".

So, I suspect that while Telford was learning the aliens past, they were learning about humanities past at the same time...hence why they suspected a double cross. Dirty humans. Can't trust them.

Someone posted up a nice theory at another forum ...

Chloe sent out an distress signal to the aliens who took her. They'll come in force, destroy the command ship, then destroy or take over the seed ship and destiny.

Nope

What a great episode and setup for the next half of the season. I hate these breaks because it breaks up the tension the show has setup but oh well.

Rush is such a d!ck but you gotta love his suggestion of using the aliens and then double crossing them. lol I can appreciate his self-serving attitude.

I wonder what Chloe did, I wish there was more of a hint as to what she was doing. It was also good to see how much she has changed, by tossing that soldier aside like a rag doll.

Poor Eli, I'm glad he is feeling the stress of being on the ship and losing people. I also liked the subtle injection of humor. I also was glad to see TJ and the Lucian Alliance guy together. It's clear they are attracted to each other and I can't wait to see how Young deals with their relationship.

Even billions of light years from Earth, Humans can't shake their reputation. lol

I love it!

Agreed. Over the past few episodes and ESPECIALLY this mid-season finale...that SGU is quickly bringing back some of the elements that make the franchise great. Action, exploration, humor and good character interaction and greater sci-fi elements.

Eli's throwaway line when the simulation finished cracked me up.

I couldn't decide if he meant pie, or pi.

Because I could totally see Eli using Destiny's million year old computers to try and calculate pi to the last decimal :p

lol, I think he meant like an oven timer going off with the 'Ding'.

I love the humour from others now too.
The banter back and forth between the other scientiests, and even with Rush... how he's almost like the grumpy dad having to babysit these other intellectually inferior scientists and having to share his Bridge. lol.

Great change in the writing for these guys .

I noticed something in the episode where Ginn died.
I expected Eli to become in a way, almost like Rush in his personality after Ginn's lost.

Considering they're the two smartest people on Destiny, only difference being in their outlook on life, experiences and demeanor.
But now Eli's lost someone and I expected him to (for a period maybe) become dark and grim and an ******* like Rush.
I found that speech Rush gave him to be maybe a beginning of that...?

Ugh, I hope not.

I like optimistic and goofy Eli. I wouldnt want him to be Rush 2.0.

I think it'd be cool if he turned into Rush 2.0 for a while at least, him alienating everyone else, Rush being the only person he can be around considering he doesnt give a **** about Eli's 'emotional state', together they make some significant progress on the science of the ship or whatever.

Eventually the Eli we know and love can come back, and be a lot more reaffirmed in his role aboard Destiny and be a lot more sure about their mission since he's always been a little more homesick and not as accepting about the situation than everyone else.

Eh...
I think Eli losing his girlfriend is the one that made Rush relate to him...I wouldn't go so far as to say he LIKES Eli or anything else...but I think he relates to Eli and has a connection with him now...because Eli is going through the same thing Rush went through. Perhaps Eli might even get darker than Rush...forcing Rush to come to the realization of what he himself has become.

^^ Oh I never meant Rush likes Eli or anything, I was saying the harshness with which he calls out Eli's feelings considering he's gone through the exact same thing, twice even (if you consider his wife dying) might push Eli into as dark a corner as Rush went to, explaining why he's the way he is.
But also, Rush and Eli are connected in this event because the one act ended 2 lives close to Eli and Rush.
And yea I agree with you.

I think it'd be cool to see the happy go lucky comic relief go dark, if only for a few episodes even.

Syfy kill Universe

completely and utterly ****ing pissed off over this.... the damn ****ers take the show from the Friday night slot, where it got good ratings, and put it up against a **** load of ****ing huge shows....

and then they're surprised when it gets ****ing poor ratings???? ****ers need to realise they've pissed off a **** load of people with this..

i'm off to get ****ing drunk now...

Not surprised. You don't get renewed when you pull in under a million viewers.

which wouldn't have happened in it's original timeslot of Friday night....

the worst bit is... i'm seeing comments about how the cast and crew were informed via twitter.... not personally by syfy...nice way to treat them eh?

Gateworld has two threads devoted to this news but they haven't updated their front page.

No....MGM is going to retool and do movies and hopefully get the franchise going in a proper direction....not the dirty one that Universe seemed to be heading in
