Yeah im glad shes coming back, be nice for them to not have to go to Dr Lee for any technology :P

Wow, that's a lot longer than I've been a fan. I only discovered the show when it came to Sci Fi for season 6. Never had Showtime.wiegeabo said:Since the movie.![]()

TheCorpulent1 said:Yes, RDA really made Jack O'Neill all his own. He and Shanks definitely work well together, too. I've been watching the season 4 DVDs and, judging from the commentaries, it seems as if all of the really funny parts of every episode are RDA ad-libbing or being goofy. For example, most of the little goofy sequences in "Window of Opportunity," where he and Teal'c are stuck in a time loop, are last-minute additions that RDA or Chris Judge thought would be funny.

"Window of Opportunity" is probably tied with "Absolute Power" as my favorite episode of the series.Happenstance said:Really enjoyed SG1 this week, but yet again no information about why Teal'c is still with them!
Im glad that they left it open for Vala to come back, I was thinking there was yet another cloaked ship she made it onto but I prefer he possibly ending up in the Ori home galaxy.
Nice to see Sam back although her contributions in this episode werent the most amazing ive seen.
Regarding last night's episode: I thought it was great. Sam's back, Nerus was hilarious, the "band" is back together (temporarily at the moment, but better than nothing), Gerak is becoming a love-to-hate antagonist, and the Ori are showing how huge a threat they can be. Vala's departure was done well and I'm glad she's gone. She's a decent character, but she gets on my nerves very quickly. If she returned in an episode near the tail end of this season, I wouldn't mind though. SG-1 is starting to feel more like it should, and I'm already dying with anticipation for next week's episode. Baal is my absolute favorite Stargate villain, without any doubt in my mind, and I'm looking forward to his triumphant return. They stopped referencing Daniel's missing the Daedalus before he ever even meets the Ori. That was his initial excuse to be involved in everything with Glastonbury Tor and the Ancient communication device, but once he'd activated the device and inadvertantly introduced the MW to the Ori, he knew that it was his responsibility to try and clean up his mess. That, plus the fact that he probably didn't want to inflict Vala on Atlantis, is the reason why he's staying. Which makes sense to me, at least. I certainly couldn't reconcile a Daniel who'd introduce his home galaxy to a group of dangerous zealots with power on a universal scale and then leave for the PG while others deal with it with the Daniel I know and love from previous seasons.
As Teal'c stated in "Avalon II," it was the Tau'ri and Ancient knowledge that facilitated the Jaffa's freedom. He feels a debt to the humans of Earth, and he's still clearly good friends with Daniel, since he rushed to his side when he heard about the bracelets. Now, while he was hanging around the SGC to try and help Daniel, he was introduced to the Ori. Gerak has certainly taken an interest in the Priors and it's a concern to all Jaffa if the Priors would attempt to subjugate them under new false gods. As in the earlier seasons, Teal'c is simply more useful on the forefront of new discoveries alongside SG-1 than he would've been training Jaffa in the rebellion camp or talking politics in the Free Jaffa Nation. On top of that, Gerak is the unequivocal leader of the FJN and we know Teal'c's already fallen out of favor because of his past with the Tau'ri, so 1) he wouldn't try to take power away from Gerak because a majority of Jaffa voted him into power using their newfound freedom, and 2) it's doubtful that many Jaffa would listen to Teal'c, the Tau'ri's pet Jaffa (as they probably see him), if he tried anyway.
