Transformers Starscream's gun hands...

Has anyone yet considered the possibility his hands just fit in side the cannons, and he can take them off?

I know that none of these are the "final" form, but people still complain none the less. I was hoping to throw a suggestion out there to help some of them sleep easier at night.

Well, Blackout's movie form is just a more highly detailed version of the toy. Joints are a little different but other than that the overall design is pretty much the same. I see the same thing happening with Gorillascream.

In the Starscream toy prototype we've seen - the 'gun hands' are, well, ridiculous. Bay has stood by his decision to present the transformations in a 'real world' way without the use of size changing/mass shifting and "disappearing parts". And I don't see how the leaked toy prototype design could possibly fill that requirement - hopefully it's a old/discarded design.

Take a look at a real F-22, I don't see any part that could be one of the gun hands, much less two...

I don't mind Megatron not being a P38. I really did want him to be a tank though...it would have been a good nemesis to Prime's semi.

But I guess we'll have to settle for Sauronformer.

it says in the script that the transformers arms TRANSFORM into weapons. that picture may be of starscream with his arms transformed.

Way I see it, why in hells name would anyone even BOTHER making a toy design, if they don't know what it's going to look like in the movie.

Also on the F22 I'm guessing the jets could become is guns.. if they sort of extended out of it a bit.

Gorillascream arms seems indeed the F-22 engines. Probably the angular, IR, radar signature reducing exhaust, like most of the "skin" of the body of the airship bend over (on that really ugly torso) revealing the thrusters, wich then rotate and turn in the Grunt arms. The arms of the robot are also covered with components similar to the ones seen on "naked" engines...
Meh, i really don't like the fact that the blasters come out from the end of the engines... Does the plane shoot lasers from his ass instead of jet flames? At least the original Starscream had the engine on the legs/feets, that had sense...

The more i see the toy the more i think it resembles more Laserbeak...
