And I'm dead serious. Virgil Hawkins is the man, and would be an exellent member of the teen titans. The bangbabies are an interesting plot too. So is Gear. And anyone who disagrees well..............
....I guess I don'tlike you that much......

In the comics, he's just called Static, without the "Shock." :o

And many of the plotlines, like Gear, do not exist in the comics. Richie in the series is a mix between two characters. One of them was really Richie, who was gay in the comics, and the other I forget. Plus, wasn't Static part of a different universe?

Yeah the entire line of Milestone comics are not part of the DCU.

DC have ben trying to incorperate Milestone for years, but there a lot hell of a lot of legal issues around all the characters.

interesting.

People have been clammooring for "static" to officially enter the DC universe for years,....

But black Vulcan, and Black Lightning, kept getting in the way.

LOL.

I really wouldnt mind it that much. I think there is some potential in the including of these characters.

I think they should just get Dwayne McDuffie and all the other old Milestone writers and bring back the Milestone universe. Those boopks were pretty damn sweet.

Icon = better than you.

I just want Dwayne McDuffie writing for DC he is a fantastic writer. And beyond and his JLU episodes prove that. Would love to see him write a superhero movie.

McDuffie has my everlasting love for creating Damage Control over at Marvel.

I'd like to see Static enter the mainstream DC universe, myself. The similarities to Black Lightning might be problematic, but he could always just take Static under his wing and Static could become the teen analogue to him. Static's pretty much ready-made for Teen Titans membership as it is.

If they did bring Static into the DCU, I wouldn't want it to last. It would be like Majestic's stint in the DCU or Captain Atom: Armagedon. A guy is traped in a universe not his own and he has to deal. It could eventually lead to a Milestone revival.

Well, what have they really done with Detroit in the DC universe? I don't see why the Milestoners couldn't just be retconned into the DC universe permanently, especially in the current, post-IC retcon frenzy.

Perhaps. But there are a few flaws with that. In Milestone, Superman was referenced as a comic book character several times. Icon was supposed to be the Earth's first super powered individual, and Static and the Blood Syndticate were meant to the the first active super heroes. Plus, they did have a cross over with DC. Plus, Dharma basically fit the role that the Monitors do now. Observing everything.

The Fawcett characters had to have some details changed for their transition, too. It could be done. However it's arranged, though, I'd like to see the Milestone characters interact with the DC characters every now and then.

Its funny, Levitz was asked about this at San Diego and he said that they were currently talking to Dwayne about bringing some of these characters back. Dwayne posted on his board that DC hasnt contacted him in almost a year about these characters.

True. I just think they work better in their own universe. Besides, the nature of Dharma's powers would make him to big a player to just suddenly be introduced.

Or it would make him a big enough player that he could quietly slip into the mysterious cosmic backdrop without causing a big fuss among the tiny mortals we read about.

Well, Dharma is a tiny mortal. But, he's the only tiny mortal on Earth who's mind is capable of understaing the universal equasion presented in chaos theory that would allow one to predict every possible outcome to any given situation. I/E, he knows everything. And he uses that information to try and prevent the multiple end of the world scenarios he has predicted.

Just use "Superboy punched the walls of reality" as an excuse for any problem that doesn't make any logical sense in continuity. If it's good enough for the editors and writers of DC, it's good enough for us. :down

Hopefully Milestone will see the light of day again, someday. Not as part of the DCU, though...they'd just be used as canon fodder in the next big crossover or either languish in limbo.

static...the show just annoyed the hell out of me when he brought down sinestro and brainiac, i don't know if i could stomach it in the mainstream comics
