Someone brought this to my attention at work the other night, apparently there's a haunted house somewhere in the world that has a challenge: stay a whole night/week and win money. I've tried to google this and nothing comes up. Anybody ever hear of this outside of movies?

I haven't heard of a true story like that, but I'd be all about it.

If this was real, I would so do it

While looking this up, I found out they had a contest last year where you can spend the night in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. That'd be so sweet!

The apartment I live in is haunted so if those challenges were real I'd so win.

I'd do it. It'd be scary to spend a night in a crack house.

I've heard of Haunted Houses where if you make it to the top floor you could win like 50 bucks or something. But I don't even know if that is true.

I'd give it a shot. I always wanted to try that show Fear that MTV had on years ago, so I'd try things like this.

It all depends on how much money I would win for staying in a haunted house. If it's six figures or more I'd definitely do it.

It wouldn't surprise me if these types of challenges really do exist. I mean, there are places I'd never stay a whole night in. Like the Winchester mansion, for example. :down

I would stay their if the money was right that place is weird tho.

I would take the challenge at any place in the world. The house my family has owned for the last 38 years is haunted. Watching movement at night in the dark when everyone else is asleep, tripping over cats that aren't there is pretty much not even thought about anymore.

only exists in fiction because it's more interesting in fiction if malevolent ghosts are real.

it's also more cost effective in fiction.

I've tried looking for it, the only things I found were:

-A radio station contest where the winners could spend a night in Disney's Haunted Mansion

-A charity event where people were invited to stay a whole night in a haunted house and "ghost hunt"

Nothing yet on any challenges where you win money. I double checked with my co-worker last night, he said it was a castle over in Europe somewhere, he's supposed to be bringing the information to work tonight.

That show was all fun and games until you had to be buried in a coffin for a few hours :(

That show was cool, but seeing that easily fake dead body in the second episode made me think it was staged.

^^^ yeah I think it was staged for the most part to scare the contestants into quitting the challenges (I noticed a few times that when doors slammed shut there were camera cuts, like somebody from the crew did it).
