Here's a thought...

If you get the "passes" printed out online, why did they ask for your mailing address? I'd think it's too soon to mail tickets, so....

Perhaps they're planning something like they did for those who's pictures were accepted for rorysdeathkiss.com?

And, with the tone of the email from the Tip Line, it looks like they're targetting New Years for something else to happen.

I don't think the game is done just yet, people.

I heard (page back) the tickets are not numbered? So that means some guy who didn't do any work on the virals can print out as many as he wants for him and his friends?

They have to keep track of how many people register with guests, and will probably cap it after a certain percentage of overfill.

Obviously the first people who know about this will be us, the ones who did do the work.

I tried getting tickets for the "Where the Wild Things Are" screening 2 days after the email was sent to me, and couldn't get tickets even though the screening was 4 days away. This tells me they definitely cap the number of registrations when they do screenings.

i'm wondering how early I should show up (i'll be at the LA one). On one hand I dont want to risk not getting in, but on the other hand I dont want to have to wait around all day. But.. on the OTHER hand, LA isn't exactly a boring place, I could always find something to do if i end up havng to wait.

These are not to be confused with the normal IAL screenings that are to begin on the 14th.

Note the dates: These are screening in a couple of days -- i.e. a full week before I Am Legend. These are special, limited screenings for special, limited people.

Advanced screenings of I Am Legend would be my guess.

Or people are going to travel for hours to big cities to see 6 minutes of footage. haha

My apologies for the newbie post, gotta start somewhere right? This may have already been answered but here it goes. Because the Admittance ID states that "seating is limited", are we to assume that we're going to the Lincoln Square theater to just pick up tickets for a random Imax screening at a later date, or are we actually being treated to an advanced screening of I Am Legend presumably with the prologue.

(The release date is the the 12th, and we'd be seeing it on the 6th) right?

I love how everyone's all like "I hope we see the teaser poster, we better see the teaser poster this time, I just want the fricking teaser poster!" And when we get it, they're all like "What, that's it? Just a fricking teaser poster?"

My thoughts exactly. What a bunch of freaking whiners!! I gave the poster a 7. It's not great, but it's at least average. Fine for me! And guess what guys? This ain't over. You guys think that none of the other IMAX theaters will get it? Wrong. They will. These 5 are for early screenings even before I Am Legend comes out. They'll make sure to play it before other movies later and you'll probably get a chance to see it many times before the movies comes out in July.
