That's a great idea.

Fukunaga's Jane Eyre was one of the best films of 2011, so hopefully this will work out.

Great to hear they got a director and a decent one but man so many King movies Dark Tower(?) The Stand, Carrie and The Reach and theres another one.

I just hope they change the ending for the kid's portion, that was just creepy in the book. Doubt the could even get away with it on screen though.

The reason I chose Robert Downy Jr. is because he's a brilliant actor who can change his voice to many different accents/tones, and he definitely can have that "evil Pennywise" look. And look at that first picture of him above...if that isn't a Pennywise smile, I don't know what is. I truely believe that RDJ could pull Pennywise off perfectly!

I like most of your casting choices for the adult roles. I'd probably hold off on casting the kids though. With this movie being stuck in Development Hell for as long as it has, they'll all probably be in their late teens to mid twenties by the time shooting starts. I mean, Chloe Moretz is like 16 or 17 now isn't she? The grown up actors doesn't really matter. A 50 year old can play a 40 year old with little trouble. Just as a 20-something year old can play a 17 year old high school student. But for 11 to 12 year olds, you need actual 11 to 12 year olds (a 13 year old might do in a pinch, but that's pushing it).

According to Wikipedia, the project was renewed in 2012. There are a couple of directors interested in taking it on, but no cast has been anounced as yet.

I really hope this project gets moving again but to be honest it will be hard for me to see anyone else as Pennywise other than Tim Curry.

I doubt he'd do it. I don't think he's even acting anymore. He recently suffered a stroke.

Same here. According to Wikipedia, Guelarmo Del Toro (I'm not too sure of the spelling) is interested in taking the project on, but right now he just doesn't have the time. If his schedule clears up, maybe then . . .

If Warner Brothers doesn't get off their asses soon and get this thing up & running . . . "They'll all float! They'll all float! They'll all float! They'll all float!"

HBO miniseries, Warner Bros.... for this and for The Stand.
