SteveDeKnight

You gotta have respect for a man who wants to hear input from the fans, and very patiently deals with the shipper garbage that gets thrown at him. :whatever:

Thanks for the link Triplet. I forgot it was a myspace and not a regular blog. Pass on that.

What's wrong with myspace?

Yeah, there's a lot of nonsense going on but there are some good music and writing blogs...

I joined so I could subscribe to the blog of a friend of mine.

*shrug*

When you enter myspace country it's inevitable you'll come across at least one, often more, page that is so schizophrenic you can't even tell what it's about. It's like people can't put enough stuff on their page, it's like a contest. The few ruin it for the good ones.

Found this interesting over on DeKnight's blog. The post is in reference to not being able to change storylines as quick as some fans would hope based on comments being made since many episodes are already in the can. G&M talked about this phenomenon a bit in one of the SV magazines. Basically, there's a time lag in being able to react to overall viewer opinion...

We just aired episode 3, but we are actually shooting episode 10 and breaking episode 14. There's no way to change course all of a sudden, regardless of what the reaction is. Not that I actually would in this case, because I think what Al and Miles are planning for the end of the season is pretty damn cool, especially on a character level.

You know, all the uproar here reminds me of Vessel. For months I had to sit and listen to all the complaints even though I had the answers (mostly) to how they were addressed in Zod. Same thing here. I can't comment on a lot of this stuff because I can't even come close to giving away what's going to happen. Heck, I like my job.

But I do stand by my earlier post. If you don't watch the show, there's really no reason to torture yourself with third-party accounts of how we're "ruining" it. If you do watch the show, then by all means, vent as much as you like (respectfully, of course). I find it very informative.

Plus I have low blood pressure, so I actively seek out things that can raise it.
Hee! The blood pressure crack made me laugh. He's a witty guy. Can you imagine DeKnight, Beeman and Rosie in the same room at the same time? OMG! How do they get anything done?

I trust DeKnight, if he says it'll be awsome, I have faith that it will be.

As much as I dont like the Lexana relationship, I always had faith that it would lead to a very cool story come second half of the season.

I'm glad he made that post, hopefully some of those twits over there will just ****.

:yay:

Does anyone know if SDK has replied to any recent question regarding Clark's story arc for the season, and his not having as much screen time as before? I wish I could ask him, but I don't have time to find out how the "friending" thing works at MySpace.

Thanks! :yay:

If you have a MySpace, you can go to his page and click "Add to Friends."

Yep, he's gotta confirm it before you can say anything.

It won't give you any notificatiion that he's accepted though, so you'll want to keep checking your friends page. :)

You might add Tom too in that room, lol!!!:woot:

I think, yes, Smallville can and should improve in some aspects but I think most of times, when you look at SDK personal blog, what do you see?

People insulting each other, bashing ...all because of ships...

I only have to admire SDK's patience about the people who are constantly bashing there.

Interesting to see SDK's comment about character development in the end of the season...sounds promising.

OK it's been a while since this was posted in but I've been checking his page and have to say I cant believe he's putting up with what he is from fans. It's really not getting any better over there.

yeah it's filled with morons who's only focus on the show is who dates who. I dont even bother checking it anymore.

I was honestly hoping for a few nuggets of behind the scenes info but you're right the constant who's dating who thing is getting old. . . .

I'd rather hear more things like how the ambush of the presidental motorcade was taken out of the script for Zod.

I'm with you on that, I thought it was such a great idea when I first heard he was going to do it, but then the blog got hijacked by the shippers...

Too bad.

The latest thing though is huge criticism on how some of the plots are derived, and how does Lois all of a sudden go from asking Chloe for help and then the next week she can check phone records.

Um...... I could take a guess and say she's learning how to do this stuff on her own.

Obsessive nitpicking drives me crazy moreso than the silly shipper talk. :cmad:

Well, there's that too...

I can't imagine doing what DeKnight is doing...it'd drive me nuts.

Me too, that's why I have mucho respect for the guy for putting up with it. Anyone who puts himself on the chopping block like that knowing the silliness he'd have to put up with deserves respect.

Did you read that post from Jordan? I've noticed in the past that his posts are always very thoughtful and very encouraging but after the last one, I'm starting to wonder if he is an x-Smallville scribe, like Jeph Loeb.

Do you think DeKnight even reads all of that drivel anymore? I'd bet he opens up the blog threads and then doesnt even look at them. Seems to me like he's more interested in having a huge friends list
