Steven Spielberg Teams with Stephen King for Under the Dome

Natalie Zea was a great addition. Funny and engaging. And damn did she look good

That was a great episode. Lots of the plot points were getting addressed. Max is great. I loved how she put both Barbie and Big Jim in their place. I did not expect her to be tied in with Barbie.

The four people key thing was really cool. I'm wondering how they get to be chosen to be a key and for what purpose. The thing is of alien origin as I guessed very early on but this new development with the kids is interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing what the dome does with all four people touching it.

I liked the addition of Natalie Zea I love to see ya who is playing much different character that she has every played before.

The role she played in the Person of Interest pilot is similar to her Maxine character. Obviously not to the same degree. But there is definitely that HBIC vibe I knew she was capable of. :yay:

I'm sure this whole surrendering their weapons thing won't come back to bite them in the ass.

Loved Natalie Zea in this episode. If you thought she was a b**ch on Justified, just wait 'til you see her here! lol

Now I'm going to be faced with a tough dilemma as I watch... Who is hotter? Natalie or Rachelle Lefevre? Good Lord, I want to be trapped under the dome now.

When does giving up your ability to defend yourself or town ever result in a good thing? Conversely, you can't have everyone armed and ready to shoot at every shadow that moves either.

I can't see it going well either way though.

What was the underlying message of the scene with Big Jim and the guy with the guns? I understood it on the surface but felt there was something else going on but couldn't figure out what with Jim's behavior.

Big Jim seemed to care about the guy but it also seemed like he was hamming up his heroics to get Barbie to trust him or something. It's hard to read Big Jim sometimes. He seems like he cares about the town but then goes and murders people. He is very interesting in that way.

Great episode, probably the most complete feeling one of the series so far. It's really venturing into its' own world now as compared to the book, which is nice. I'm very curious what's going on with the mini-dome.

I was wondering if the show was still following the books or if they had deviated from it. Is it still following the general plot of the book or is the show something different now?

This pretty much was what I was going to say, she added a real spark to the episode and show in general.

I wasn't too sure if I was going to like her on this series. She was an annoying ***** on Justified. A dumb ***** on the Following. But here she's a bad ass *****. And I like it. Didn't see her being connected to Barbie coming. Big Jim continues to get smaller. 3 teeth knocked him down a few notches. Zea's character basically has him on the floor with her heel to his throat while holding Barbie in her arms like a cat. Petting him away.

BET on it... Junior's the fourth hand...
Even though I like the show, as a fan of the book that would be horrible. Of all the characters, Junior got neutered the worst. Make the key someone else, or Joe's other friend who kind of shows up whenever he needs to.

you mean the long-haired airhead dude?... doubt that...

A lot went on in this last episode, I figured Max would hold power over Barbie longer than 2 eps and I didn't expect Julia to piece things together and to forgive him all in one go, plus I didn't expect Max's mother to be killed off straight away like that, surprising stuff all round.

I know I always seem to pick on poor Linda but giving a guy like the Jimster a heads up that you have the goods on him was just flat out dumb.

For once, I'm in 100% agreement with the sentiment. You just find out that he's involved in this operation, you ask him to come with you and he declines, what you do is bust out the handcuffs, not tell him you're coming back in the morning.

Grow some girl-balls, Linda. :o

Jim seems like a crypto-fascist, just a toned-down version from the book. He views his thoughts and desires as what's best for the town. Anyone who isn't loyal enough to him has to be kept on a short leash. Anyone who conflicts with his viewpoint has to be eliminated. He doesn't view this as wrong, but a way of protecting Chester's Mill.

Sheesh, that last episode just threw up a ton of information and progression. I'm glad that this show doesn't drag stuff on and on just for the heck of it.

As soon as Max's mom started talking to Big Jim I knew she was dead. Now Max has nothing to use against Big Jim or Barbie.

I was surprised that things went so smoothly between Barbie and Julia. They act like they have been together for years. I'm glad though that they aired it all out and can figure stuff out under the dome. They are the two decent and normal people in Chester's Mills it seems.

I don't understand how the dome's creators selected the four kids and why, given that it is of alien origin. Were they abducted sometime in the past? Also, what is the point of having these four humans be able to touch the small dome? Are the aliens trying to teach us something?

I hope we keep getting answers and more questions. But I really want the stupidity of the locals to stop though. Some of them have the dumbest logic and act with equal stupidity.

Well that was fast. Max loses her leverage after one episode. lol She's going to flip when she finds her mom sleeping w/ the fishes.

So Junior is the 4th. Yeah, that's not gonna end well.
