Sci-Fi Steven Spielberg's UFO Film (2026)

Curious if this is a UFO movie at all. Kroll said details are under lock and key.

Might not have anything to do with this movie, but Spielberg had some interesting comments last year at the Berlin Film Festival.

ā€œI also feel a little alarmed to be told I’ve lived a lifetime because I’m not finished, I want to keep working. I want to keep learning and discovering and scaring the **** out of myself, and sometimes the **** out of you,ā€ Spielberg added. ā€œI gotta get back to some of those earlier scarier movies, but that’s another story for later on. As long as there’s joy in it for me, and as long as my audience can find joy and other human values in my films, I’m reluctant to ever say that’s a wrap.ā€

Gonna go ahead and update the thread title. If Kroll's reporting "The Dish" then that's good enough for me.

I think the Dish is just for exclusive scoops from Deadline:

Weird coincidence, but could be wrong.

Hey Josh I know it's called The Dish, but you didn't have to bring two of them.

Directed Russell’s mom 50 years ago and now he’s directing him. Has to be kinda wild.
Incidentally, it's also crazy that Kurt Russell has been in the industry as long as he has and hasn't worked with Spielberg. The closest he came was being in the running for Dr. Grant in Jurassic Park.

Would have been a different film if he cast Kurt.
