Revenge of the Fallen Story Spoilers from ShoWest (WARNING: Spoiler Extravaganza)

I also fear that Soundwave will give his spark to Megatron. :csad:

And now I can see Simmons dying, but that makes me wonder about Optimus line ("We kept much from you, Sam"/"This isn't my war"/"I fear it soon will be").

Could the "No-Set up" talk be a part of Bay's misinformative campaign?

Bay has already said that soundwave is important to the plot in many ways so i dont believe that soundwave would be bounced from the movie like that i mean just sacrificing him in the middle of the movie come on

He provides Earth modes for the Decepticons and sacrifices himself for Megatron. That can be interpreted as "Many ways".

.........that's my thought process right now. I mean we're talking about the same guy who tried to keep Megs involvement silenced ..........the first one obviously signaled things when Starscream was seen flying off into space.

.....but the point is he wouldn't do a primary character like that. He's too important to what Megs is out to accomplish being his true 2nd in command.

I know and I hope we get a plenty of Soundwave, but you never know.

trust my gut feeling soundwave is going to be memorable in this movie

As I mentioned in the 'Soundwave Appreciation' thread earlier, the alleged Dreamworks guy expanded on his first post saying that Soundwave doesn't give up his spark to revive Megatron.

I think that any of this is even true, I would bet on the spark being just from some random Decepticon.

I can't wait to hear that familiar voice ....... we got Prime's..... didn't get Megs or Starscreams....... but luckily we b*tched enough to get Soundwave's. Man I can't wait.

Uh Chris Latta has passed on. He couldn't be Starscream, even if they wanted it.

Am i the only one who's doubting that the Audi R8 is really Sideways? I mean, if I am to believe those infos and that Barricade is a new car, I'm starting to think that Sideways might be a fake name for Barricade's return... Also Sideways and Barricade look a lot alike. What is your opinion (to all)?

Nah, the toy is in box and ready to ship as sideways...I don't think it is uncommon to have pawns that look alike...look at the twins, pretty much the same bot just lil differences.

Plus we have seen on set the Audi and the Mustang.

But didn't they say that the mustang will only be shown for like 3 seconds? Maybe because he chooses another altmode?

This is true, but I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that's not the case, it doesn't make much sense that Barricade would change his name and model of car.

Unless they say that Barricade and Sideswipe are brothers, and that's why they look alike.

Great, more relatives... We still people arguing whether the "brother" comment by Optimus was supposed to be literal or figurative. (My vote is figurative.) Next we get the "twins" even though we have an already established set in the carto ons. Now you are proposing that Barricade and Sideswipe could be related? Great, its just one big family reunion.

I understand the picture you're trying to paint about loyalties, but Soundwave is too important to the plot this time around. They tried hard as h*ll to fit him into the first one, but weren't able to. It's just my opinion, but there's no way possible they sacrifice such a legendary character so early on after finally getting screen time. Just doesn't make any sense to me.

I think when you're talking about loyalties you're splitting hairs. Everyone but SS was obviously loyal to Megs. They're all his worker ants.

Have you forgotten about Jazz? He is a VERY popular TF also and was killed early on. No one has ever been more loyal to Megatron than Soundwave, especially out of the the Decepticons in this movie.

Getting too paranoid people.

Bay's been listening to us on many subjects believe it or not. They're not going to killl off the 3rd most popular transformer ever so quickly.

I hope he has, but if he can turn Jetfire into what he has in this movie, Soundwave dying doesnt sound like its impossible. And the dreamworks guy clearly stated that the character who gives his spark has been very loyal to Megatron in TF lore, who else could it be?

I agree, all the Decepticons follow him, but Soundwave wins the award for "blind loyalty." Keep in mind that Decepticon mindset is the exact opposite of the Autobot's. Much more concerned with what in it for them rather than the common good (or evil as the case may be). Megatron controls them mostly through fear. Because if they turn against him, Megatron will do worse than what any Autobot would do to them in battle. He barely tolerates Starscreams rebelliousness.

Sorry, but Soundwave is one of the few Decepticons who are truly loyal to Megatron.

Apparently, DreamWorks confirmed it's not Soundwave. Maybe Demolisher?

Don't know. Who else do we know of that is that blindly loyal? Could it be just a random, no-name?

You're not seriously going to sit there and compare the popularity of Jazz to that of Soundwave are you? :wow:

Must you keep selectively reading. That statement has also been corrected to show that it's not Soundwave.

That's great but:

DREAMWORKS ALREADY CONFIRMED IT'S NOT SOUNDWAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINE!!! I'm just saying that Soundwave is one of the few Decepticons who are TRULY loyal. So chill out a minute, I say later that maybe it wasn't Soundwave and could be some no-name guy there simply to be killed off or even someone else (about two posts above your shout).

Feel better now?
