I still can't believe our court system just threw a guy in jail because he killed someone who tried stealing from him.

What's the point of having belongings, a house, etc. if the losers who want to take it from you have more rights than you do...?

Well I think you are missing the point of that article my friend. He had things stolen in the past and because of that he set up a "trap" in which to catch said stealers. Except he stated to several people on numerous occasions that he wanted to kill the thief. He was even told by a fellow citizen to keep his thoughts to himself and told that person off

Then he set the trap and by his own admission, shot without warning. His wife stated that he said something and the person responded with something along the lines of "No, wait" but there in lies the problem.

A. I doubt if things were being robbed from him on this kind of basis that he lived in a remote area.

B. Setting a trap in most states counts as pre-meditated

C. you can't go blabbing to the whole town on how you are going to kill the next one

Unfortunately for him he apparently he didn't live in one of our great American states that allows you to "Stand Your Ground" on your own property.

Does the person who was shot have any justifiable reason for being in said trap?

I think not, in fact I would venture to say people thought this guy was an easy target. Does that give him the right to just blast anything with his gun? According to the laws in his state which he should have been aware of, no.

And yes I'm fairly certain had this been TX or FL he would have been some kind of hero on the local news

It depends on the situation. Killing someone over stealing isn't a blanket justification. And there are alternatives to killing someone as well.`\

Man Caught on Video Hurling Baby Through the Air

[YT]uujqt-KNLzU[/YT]

Security footage from a shop in Huainan, China shows a man picking up a 12-month-old baby and flinging it into the air in the midst of what appears to have been a fight with the shopkeeper.

According to the original poster on Chinese video sharing site 56.com, who claims to be the baby's cousin, police didn't detain the man who threw the child, and he's still at large.

The baby lived, but sustained serious injuries and is now under observation at a hospital.

A similar incident occurred last year in Beijing, where a man fighting over a parking space threw a pram containing a 2-year-old. In that case, the child died. Although the attacker argued he thought the pram was a shopping cart, he was sentenced to death last September.

Guy's Huge, Stupid Bike Looks Pretty Smart After Flash Flood

[YT]bb3iLnEalS8[/YT]

Flash floods around the Pensacola, Fla. area covered sidewalks and stranded cars, but they couldn't stop one man and his really tall bike. They all laughed at him and his impractical contraption, but who's laughing now?

Actually, still everyone. Because a troll on a giant bike crashing a news clip in the middle of a warning to stay off the roads is pretty good indeed.

Where would you even buy one of those?

Nevada Ranch Militias Turn Against Each Other Over Drone-Attack Theory

[YT]9DdgNJbBnMk[/YT]

The armed anti-government play-warriors who built a military force around a racist redneck rancher in Nevada have split into rival factions and are now at the brink of civil war, calling each other crazies and traitors and spreading rumors that Eric Holder planned a drone strike on them.

For nearly a month, organized groups of militiamen as well as gun-toting "independents" have descended on Bunkerville, Nevada, ostensibly to protect Cliven Bundy, the curmudgeon cattleman who grazed his cattle on federal land, owed feds more than a million in fees, and famously shared his opinions on "Negroes" with America.

The feds gave Bundy his cows back and avoided an armed confrontation, but freemen in search of a hot discharge of their firearm loads remain encamped around his land, occasionally setting up checkpoints to intimidate local drivers in the name of freedom.

In this Waco-wacko Woodstock of woolly-bully mountain men, the irony and the insanity spiked last weekend when leaders of the most prominent militia group, the Oath Keepers, began complaining of armed madmen "in the camp running amok." They eventually pulled back from their positions, claiming they had received intelligence suggesting that the Obama administration's attack drones were incoming.

That "redeployment" pissed off other armed patriots who stayed behind in Nevada, who now call the Oath Keepers and their prominent leader, Stewart Rhodes, cowards and traitors who might actually be working for the U.S. government. "They committed a deliberate act of desertion," Blaine Cooper—a de facto leader of the remaining militiamen—said in his own video, embedded at the top of this post.

Rhodes defended his actions, though he now concedes the drone rumor may have been "psyops" by Uncle Sam:

We got the phone call, a guy from Texas called up and said hey, I've got contacts in DOD who've called up and told me that Eric Holder, the AG, has given approval for a drone strike on the ranch, on the entire area, including the Bundys' own personal home.
While trying to vet that "intel," several Oath Keepers attempted to offer an offsite hotel room to a woman who was staying in the Bundy camp with her two children. "She got angry and said that we weren't trusting God enough, and that's her mission to be there, God wanted her to be there," Rhodes says in his video. "And that's fine. But she started yelling and screaming."

That started a series of conflagrations between different militiamen that apparently frustrated Rhodes. In the video he complained of an "increasingly deteriorating situation" in the camps, due to "a bunch of hotheads" whom he thought weren't stable enough to carry out the armed struggle against the United States government in the Nevada desert. "We could see they were a ticking time bomb and they weren't under sufficient command and control," he said. "We wanted to pull out."

The Oath Keepers' website said even though the drone attack hadn't panned out, it was reasonable to fear that it might:

Considering how bizarre that listing of government sins-against-the-people really is, it's not such a far reach to understand why a threat of a war-on-terror-styled attack in retribution for the Bundy cowboy defeat of the BLM gov-thug soldiers earlier this month is not such a far-fetched idea after all.
Bull****, said Cooper. "You're lucky that you're not getting shot in the back," he says to the "traitors" who left the camp, "because that's what happens to deserters on the battlefield." [Note: It is, in fact, against U.S. military law to shoot a deserter in the back on a battlefield.]

In the video posted by Cooper, he leads several votes against the Oath Keepers with other militia leaders including New Hampshire 9-12 founder Jerry DeLemus and "Booda Bundy Bear," who identifies himself as a "self-employed tattoo artist" on Facebook. Booda recently posted two pictures of himself—one with the Bundy family, at left, and another patrolling the ranch:

t6ddao6jcwzu4kmsvhme.jpg

There is very good evidence to show that the Oathkeepers came here with an intention in mind and that was not to support the objectives, it was to coopt this entire thing and build membership at the very least...

At the very worst, it was provocateurism deliberately sent in here by the other side to drive a wedge into our cohesion. Which would mean that they work for the other side, and they're REALLY a bunch of mother****ers.
Opinion on who to back in the militias' war of words seemed divided online. "Those oathkeepers just gave up their intel," one friend of Cooper's wrote on his Facebook wall. "now the Pentagon is going to search for the leak.. not smart..and they sound like they are back pedaling on what they did..they are doing what government does best and makes the militia look like a bunch of unorganized thugs."

But Robert Casillas, a fellow Oath Keeper and former Marine, added to Rhodes' account of the mavericks in the desert: "It's a bunch of crackpots… These kids, they're playing war out there, and they don't know what they're doing."

That sounds like the sanest thing anyone in this Twin Peaks of patriotic tinderboxes is capable of saying, though if you watch the video you'll see Casillas didn't seem completely sane while saying it. And in any case, dude believed a drone strike on Nevada ordered by Eric Holder was plausible, so keep that in mind.

Which is a shame. All these hardened breadfruits seem made for each other—from the tactical cargo pants up to the leaky sieves that hold their soggy thoughts and theories mostly in place.

But the conflict lines have been drawn, and now the anti-government resistance and pro-Bundy defense force seems irreparably broken. Sane armed people with a disagreement might be able to find common ground; crazy unarmed people might, too. But disagreements among crazy armed people have a weird way of not ending in a vocal consensus.

"They're not allowed back on this ranch," Cooper said of Stewart's group, angrily raising his arms. "They're to stay the hell out of here under fear of fist fire."

Gee, who would have guessed that a bunch of armed gun nut rednecks that hate the government would end up like this? Of course Obummer and co are ordering drone strikes and seeding discontent among the militia. I'm sure Obama stays up at night coming up with ways to mess with Bundy and his militia, it has to be one of his top priorities I would imagine

60 Teens Arrested for Breaking Into Their High School, Peeing in Halls

fie3godf6sxfjeqpebdc.png

Police arrested 62 New Jersey high school seniors early Thursday morning after the students broke into their school and went nuts, greasing doorknobs, flipping tables, and pissing in the halls.

After students triggered Teaneck High School's burglary alarm at around 2:30 in the morning, police showed up and found some students hiding in the school and others continuing to trash the place. It took 10 different law enforcement agencies and several trips to get all the pranksters to the precinct.

"I've been a police officer 19 years, and this is the craziest thing I've ever seen," Teaneck Police Sgt. John Garland told NBC 4.

24 of the arrested kids are 18 years old and will have to appear in court. The rest were released to their parents.

Teaneck High School was open this morning, albeit with balloons and streamers still all over the floors. No word on whether all the grease and urine got cleaned up before first period.

Gun Shop Cancels Sale of Smart Gun After Owner Receives Death Threats

nbcqlijixxbmi9i8yl9y.jpg

The owner of a gun shop in Rockville, MD will no longer authorize sale of a new technology of "smart guns" after receiving too many death threats. Andy Raymond was to be the first U.S. seller of the new technology at his store Engage Armament.

The gun that Raymond was planning on selling, the Armatix iP1 .22-caliber, utilizes a watch to enable fire.

The gun is implanted with an electronic chip that allows it to be fired only if the shooter is wearing a watch that communicates with it through a radio signal. If the gun is moved more than 10 inches from the watch, it will not fire.
The store received pushback from gun enthusiasts, who claimed that the smart gun violates their second amendment rights. These protests eventually turned into frightening threats for the shop owner.

"You're going to get what's coming to you," was among the messages he received, Raymond said.

"They told my business partner they would burn down the shop. I try to be reasonable with people, but I guess I made a mistake."
Another shop outside of Los Angeles faced similar threats earlier this year and removed the smart guns from their shelves.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/05/02/us-usa-maryland-smartgun-idUSBREA410SD20140502

So lets get this straight. A small business man who voluntarily decides to provide his customers with an OPTION of a weapon that could very well save lives in their family from preventing misuse and also help prevent an unauthorized person from discharging the weapon gets death threats? This isn't even prompted by the government.

These gun nut idiots sure are a smart bunch, that man symbolizes everything that a normal conservative American will normally support in all their endeavors and yet because he wanted to give his customers AN OPTION now they're going to burn down his business. In-freaking-sane people!

^^^Words. I have none to express my horror and dismay at this story...

As I said in the other thread, this is all about keeping "the man" from disabling their ability to use their guns when the government takes over the world and the only people who can save us are them.

God help us if this ever actually comes true because we're all ****ed if we must rely on gun enthusiasts and 2nd Amendment rights activists to save us.

Ya it's laughable, if the government tries to take over they wouldn't stand a chance. You think because you stockpiled some ammo and go to the gun range on the weekend you are going to beat trained soldiers who have been at this war thing for over decade? You honestly think if the government was going to do that they wouldn't just drone strike all these idiots? Ask those insurgents in Afghanistan how well all their training works out when the drone flies by. And that is just the simplest option for it, the Army/Marines have so many things at their disposal it's not even funny.

High School Girl Fed "Semen-Filled" Cupcakes to Kids Who Picked on Her

dp037tqh9scwkxgzmdhv.jpg

Living well is the best revenge, but feeding your enemies semen-filled cupcakes is a close second.

A bullied high school girl in Bakersfield, Calif., reportedly put pubic hair, semen, expired food, and pills into the cupcakes she handed out last Thursday to kids who picked on her. Another student asked the girl why her cupcakes tasted so bad, and she said it was because she'd filled them with bodily fluids.

Police were able to confirm that the cupcakes were made with a gross combination of condiments including mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, and soy sauce, but the food was destroyed before it could actually be tested for semen. The health department has been called off of the investigation.

One student is the source of the report that the cupcakes contained semen and that they were passed out to kids who bullied the cupcake-baking girl, according to ABC 10, so take the whole story with a grain of salt.

Centennial High School has now implemented a "no outside food" policy, forcing the cancellation of a French class food day this week. Sorry, students, no pain au sperme for you.

Naked Man Doing Pushups In the Middle of the Road Killed In Portland

A naked man who was reportedly running in traffic at 4am near Portsmouth Ave. in Portland, Ore., and had stopped in the middle of the road to do some pushups, was struck and killed by an oncoming vehicle. While police were being alerted of his running in traffic, a caller followed up to say he'd been hit.

The driver who hit the naked man was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and was cooperative with officers, the Portland Police say.

2,000 Teens Attend #MansionParty, Cause $70,000 in Damage

tmnuivmsxua2opt8ubcu.jpg

Canadian police broke up a party in Ontario on Friday night that was thrown in a 17-year-old's parents' still-being-built home. 2,000 teens attended and caused an estimated $70,000 worth of damage. TEENS!

The party was promoted on social media with the hashtag #MansionParty, and images were posted showing hundreds of people on the staircases and upper floors of the mansion:

Bmrz81JIUAAvWF9.jpg

If there is one thing that makes partying with 2,000 teens sound more fun, it is partying with 2,000 teens while perched precariously on not-fully-built staircases! Police sent 60 cars, including canine and tactical units, to the #mansion after receiving a complaint around 9:30PM.

One attendee, Nick, 16, heard about the party on social media and told The Record that there was a line of cars, including a fully packed tour bus, waiting to get into the party. He said, "I have seen something like this in the movies, but never in real life."

The host's mother was reached for a comment and explained, presumably standing amongst the wreckage, head in hands: "I told my son he could have some friends over."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

And this is why you don't let your 17 year old kid have access to the mansion. How else did she think this was going to end?

Massachusetts Town Finally Overturns 1982 Arcade Game Ban

do8cxid5mfosy66n7k2j.jpg

Coin-operated video games were banned in Marshfield, Mass., back in 1982, during the golden age of arcades. Now, three decades after the peak of Pac-Man, Pole Position, and Dig Dug, the town has voted to allow video games back into local businesses.

Apparently, the threat that kids will "skip school and spend unreasonable sums of money to play [games] at a quarter—and sometimes 50 cents—a pop" just isn't the menace it used to be.

At the time, the retired narcotics agent who proposed the ban felt unsupervised gaming could lead to drugs and gambling. (This was years before every arcade machine was slapped with the FBI's famous Winners Don't Use Drugs message.)

Somehow, the mythical connection between gaming and degeneracy never emerged. Beaumont citizens tried twice—in 1994 and 2011—to have the ban lifted, but they didn't succeed until this year's 203-175 town vote.

If you find it hard to believe that a vote on arcade games would be that close in 2014, here's the kind of voter we're talking about:

"There is gaming all over the place, and there's nothing fun about it," the Patriot-Ledger quotes one Beaumont citizen as saying.

Good thing too, now all the local business owners can get in on that sweet sweet arcade machine money

Captain America Arrested for Sending Dick Pics to a Teenage Girl

vlhgoavoeooziyjf7akx.jpg

James Weldon Alton, 29, who played Captain America at Universal Studios, was arrested Wednesday on felony charges of transmitting harmful material to a minor after texting dick pics to a 16-year-old girl he met on the job.

The girl posed with Alton at the theme park a few weeks ago and posted the picture on Instagram, where Alton found it, and "an online friendship began."

The girl said she and Cap started out exchanging texts as friends, but Alton quickly escalated the relationship by showing her his dick. He also texted her about *********ion and "getting into her," police say.

The explicit pics allegedly started after the victim told Alton she was 16.

After his arrest, Alton told police he thought she was joking about being underage, and that they were just flirting. He said he didn't know why he sent the photos, or what he expected in return, calling the whole thing "poor judgment."

Alton also allegedly tracked down and left comments on the Instagram accounts of two other girls who recently posed for photos with him—"Definitely my fav of the day!!" and "You're a sweetie."

Universal Studios has parted ways with Alton, who had worked there since 2010.

For shame, Captain America. We'd expect this from Tony Stark, but not from you. Not from you.

California School Asked 8th Graders to Argue If The Holocaust Was Real

ckjunymvio4j1kffknp4.jpg

At the Rialto Unified School District in California, an assignment given to eighth graders asked students to argue whether they "believed the Holocaust was a real historical event or a political scheme to influence public emotion and gain wealth."

A district spokesman, Syeda Jafri, said today that this assignment was an "error" and that the school has been receiving death threats from someone they believe to be a white man in his 30s. Acccording to Police Captain Randy De Anda, the death threats are being aimed at both Jafri and interim Superintendent Mohammad Z. Islam.

A team of teachers will meet to revise the assignment, Jafri said, and Islam will talk to the district's education services department to ensure all references to the Holocaust "not occurring" are stricken on any current or future argumentative research assignment.
The San Bernardino Sun went on to describe the assignment, saying that "the 18-page assignment instructions included three sources that students were instructed to use, including one that stated gassings in concentration camps were a 'hoax' and that no evidence has shown Jews died in gas chambers."

http://bigstory.ap.org/article/8th-grade-holocaust-assignment-draws-criticism

How does an "error" like this occur?

Yeah totally a hoax. We'll just ignore the mountains of skeletons recovered, the remains of the camps, the files that show what they were doing, the pictures, the statements of survivors and the still living survivors today.

Teen in "Me Driving Like an Idiot" Video Charged With Reckless Driving

[YT]MHvjylEfdrU[/YT]

A teen driver who filmed himself crashing into four vehicles, injuring 5 people, has been arrested for leaving the scene of a crash. Police found him after he uploaded video of the incident to YouTube under the title "Me Driving Like an Idiot."

Robert Kelley, 18, also faces charges of reckless driving and driving without a license, and police are considering charging him with intentional battery with a vehicle.

The video shows the teen swerving in and out of lanes on State Road 44 near New Smyra Beach, Fla., while techno music plays. It ends after he crashes into the back of a Toyota. Police say Kelley caused an accident that involved three additional cars after the footage ended.

Kelley had to be airlifted to a medical center after the accident Tuesday. He apparently uploaded the video from his hospital bed.

"Me Driving Like an Idiot" has been removed from YouTube since Kelley's arrest Friday.

"We certainly appreciate it," New Smyrna Beach Police Chief George Markert said of the free evidence.

Florida Won't Let This Guy Marry His Laptop Full of Porn

g083r2nulffpbbzwlqad.jpg

If there's one thing Mark "Chris" Sevier loves, it's jerking off. If there's another, it's filing lawsuits. The man who sued Apple because it sold him a computer that allowed him to get addicted to porn is now getting involved in Florida's gay marriage debate by demanding he be allowed to marry that same porn-infested computer.

Florida is considering the very serious question of whether it will recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states, and Sevier has filed a motion claiming to represent other minority sexual orientation groups. If gay people "have the right to marry their object of sexual desire, even if they lack corresponding sexual parts," he argues, "then I should have the right to marry my preferred sexual object."

Because the gay marriage debate is all about objects and parts, not relationships, families, and the legal benefits that accrue to married couples. Obviously.

Unfortunately, Sevier's 24-page filing continues with a description of his personal relationship with his sweetheart—I mean, preferred sexual object:

Over time, I began preferring sex with my computer over sex with real women. Naturally, I 'fell in love' with my computer and preferred having sex with it over all other persons or things, as a result of classic conditioning upon orgasm.
Sevier, an attorney and music producer, has a history of strange legal entanglements, including stalking country singer John Rich and suing A&E for firing one of Duck Dynasty's beardos over homophobic remarks in an interview.

He was suspended from practicing law in Tennessee in 2011 due to "mental infirmity or illness."

Sevier's attempt to marry his MacBook have been squashed for now in Florida.

"Chris Sevier has moved to intervene, apparently asserting he wishes to marry his computer," Judge Robert Hinkle wrote on April 24. "Perhaps the motion is satirical. Or perhaps it is only removed from reality. Either way, the motion has no place in this lawsuit."

But Sevier isn't done yet. If Florida won't let him get hitched to a computer, maybe another state will. He's currently attempting to intervene in Utah's battle over a state constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

"Those of us whose sexual orientation has been classically conditioned upon orgasm through the straight forward science of dopamine to prefer sex with inanimate objects and animals do not have public support, like the gays, so we are especially vulnerable here," he wrote in a 50 page brief.
