Illinois Couple Attacked by Men Called "The Miley Cyrus Gang"

e7g0azw9d1cbtco34v5s.jpg

Illinois' newest menace is a group of three men called the Miley Cyrus Gang, who are alleged to have beaten multiple people in the city of Joliet this week. Why are they called the Miley Cyrus gang? Well, because before they pick fights, they "start talking about Miley Cyrus."

The trio—Daniel Lahey, 26, Robert Krapil, 27, and Ryan Elliot, 27—were arrested and charged with simple battery after attacking a man and a separate couple at a bar earlier this week. According to one of the victims, Donnie Rice, the Miley Cyrus Gang spouted racial slurs at a Mexican man before attacking him and his girlfriend. Rice says he spoke with a detective after the fact to stress that the beatings—which he says were racially motivated—warranted stronger charges.

The three men allegedly picked a similar fight on the same grounds last weekend when they attacked a man at Lety's Place after again "starting to talk about Miley Cyrus." No charges were brought after that incident.

Miley Cyrus, presumably, does not approve.

Student Arrested for Repeatedly Mailing Poop to Vice Principal

The year of the heroic teen continues: On Monday, an 18-year-old high school senior was arrested for repeatedly mailing packages containing cow and dog poop to his school's vice principal.

The reasons for the alleged poop mailing remain unknown but here are the facts—via The Delmarva Daily Times—as we know them now: On April 30, Mark Flynn, the vice principal of Stephen Decatur High School in Worcester County, Md., told a sheriff's deputy he'd received a package containing some sort of excrement. The deputy contacted the local Post Office, telling them to look out for any other suspicious packages addressed to Flynn.

Two days later, someone dropped off two more packages for Vice Principal Flynn, both of which were later found to contain poop. Thankfully for police and Vice Principal Flynn, the quick-thinking postal inspector had written down the poop-mailer's license plate number.

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office tracked the car to the the teen's home. Deputies found him in the parking lot of a nearby McDonald's; upon searching his car, they found "a large quantity of alcohol." The teen later confessed to mailing the poop, telling police he got it from a cow and a dog.

He was arrested and charged with three counts of disturbing activities at school, three counts of molesting a school administrator, and underage alcohol possession. The school, seeking to make an example and squelch any poop-mailing copy cats, hit the teen with their harshest non-expulsion penalty: a ten-day suspension.

"We do promote a respectful and positive learning environment," Barb Witherow, a spokeswoman for Worcester County Schools, said. "Any inappropriate or disruptive or illegal activity is not acceptable."

Here's What Happens When You Leave a Guy Alone With Booze and Your Cat

[YT]f9hVbS4xj8o[/YT]

This video was posted on reddit with no context other than, "I had to babysit my girlfriend's cat," as if that adequately explains what happened next.

Unfortunately, there's no followup video showing the look on the girlfriend's face when she came home to find boy and cat passed out under a pile of empty martini glasses, probably still drunk, with chillwave spilling out of the stereo.

She's never going to let her cat babysit her boyfriend again. He obviously can't keep up with it.

By the way, the track is Chrome Sparks' "Marijuana," and this should probably be its official music video.

Haha this made me laugh

U.S. Vet Jailed for Taking Guns to Mexico Says He Just Missed His Exit

Nothing says "I'm innocent" like trying to escape from a Mexican prison. Can't say I blame him though, I've heard some horror stories about them

If I actually hadn't known people who did that I would call bull, but San Ysidro is right near the border and it is easy to get lost around there. I also don't blame him for trying to escape. If I was in a Mexican prison, so would I.

Cliven Bundy Is Now Offering Awful U.S. History Lessons on YouTube

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the armed crazy folks are still armed and crazy.

Just because Cliven Bundy lost media favor after playing his hand as a racial bigot, and just because the Second Amendment-loving paramilitary dudes surrounding him were denied their revolutionary confrontation with federal officials, that doesn't mean the wahoo business is out of business in Bunkerville, Nevada.

Bundy, the Mormon father of 14 who fought for the right to graze his cattle on taxpayer land without paying his fees, has become a straight-up George Washington for gun-toting liberty lovers and freepers nationwide, and now he's using his bully pulpit to offer them history lessons on America.

You won't find the recorded lessons on his YouTube page; you need a special link to access each one, which Bundy provides if you sign up for his corporate-style email list.

Transcribed highlights below.

"I'm not no prophet, I'm just a rancher farmer," Bundy says in the videos. But that doesn't mean he can't teach you a few things. Join him, will you? Class is just starting.

"Why Is the Constitution an 'Inspired' Document?"

...I'm free to tell the world what I think and I will. When we get to spiritual things, I have people ask me, "Well, how do you know the Constitution's an inspired document?"

How I know that is I know that those men that were on that committee that created the Constitution, they were God-fearing men and God-loving men and they did bow their head and get on their knees in the morning before they went to these sessions, and they did gain some inspiration. And when they went and created this document, that inspiration was included in these documents. That's how come it's an inspired document.

"Can You Describe Our Current Situation?"

So where we are here today at this time is we're finding out that our government is become a central government. One similar to the one that our founding fathers fought at the revolutionary war. They're very similar.

We have a central government with unlimited power. A central government that wants to dictate to us and wants to start telling us what to think and how to live. What religion. And you know what religion we can't.

They become, our government is become just sort of the opposite what our founding fathers wanted they created three branches of government. Our executive… uh... uh, our legislature, and... our... adjudical. And they warned and warned that they didn't to be able want these three governments to be able to make these kinds of rules and regulations.

And when we get down to talking, like, with the BLM and the Forest Service and the Park Service and all of the bureaus that we seem to have to deal with, whether it's FBI or Homeland Security, I mean there's all kinds of 'em, and you find out that what they're doing is they're making they're own laws administrating their own laws and policing their own laws and judging their own laws and they have their own jails.

That's an absolutely not constitutional, any of those things, and that's what happening across America right now. And that's why someone like me sorta says no and not only says no, I say hell no, I'm not gonna live under that kind of government.

"Describe the Proper Form of Government. (Part I)"

We go back over 400 years ago and our forefathers were pilgrims and they had come from other countries. And why would they risk their life, and you know, back then, transportation was in a sailboat. They figured wasn't very far out there, the ocean was flat out and would fall off, that was how much education, how much we knew about the ocean…

They did not have the free agency to exercise their conscience...

They had a central government which was Europe, with the strongest army in the world, and they ruled with unlimited power...

The individual is the power here. We didn't have the state government, we didn't have the national government, those things didn't exist, they had the thirteen colonies, but we the people formed a constitution. And so one thing we didn't want was a central government. We didn't want a big central government, we didn't want a big state government, we was even leery about having even a local government. So one thing we didn't create is a big central government. And that's sorta what we have now is a big central government. And we the people didn't create that.

"Describe the Proper Form of Government. (Part II)"

There is nothing here that makes sense in transcription. A printed chart comes out. Bundy at one point mentions the "judical" branch of government, then confusingly tries to explain Article IV, Section III of the Constitution, which gives Congress right to regulate its territories and recognize new states. To the extent that he's coherent, Bundy seems to suggest that this constitutional clause deprives residents of territories of their constitutional rights.

"Describe the Proper Form of Government. (Part III)"

Things are starting to get really confusing here. Bundy cites the seventeenth paragraph in Article I, Section VIII of the Constitution, which deals with the construction of a national capital at Washington, D.C., to argue that the U.S. has no right to regulate any other non-state territory—including, presumably, his squat in Nevada:

That's the land that the Constitution gives the United States, after they buy it and after they're limited to what they can use it for. If you can find anything else in the Constitution that gives the United States any land, I'd welcome that. But nobody seems to ever come forth with any other constitutional reason.

"Can Our Current Government Problems Be Solved?"

All of our government problems can be solved by just following the Constitution of the United States. It's that great a document.

And not only that, all of the problems of this world, other countries, and their domestic and their religious and their government problems and their battles between each other and all of that, can be really solved by following our Constitution.

Our Constitution is based on ten things, and it's based on the Ten Commandments, most everything that was done in the Constitution follows that law, which would be our founding fathers' law, the Ten Commandments. And when we vary from that, then our Constitution becomes sort of worthless. And we as a nation have varied a long ways in our moral standards as far as upholding and sustaining not only the Ten Commandments but upholding and sustaining our Constitution.

—-

Judging from his particular historical errors, Bundy appears to be channeling a favorite dead "historian" of Glenn Beck: W. Cleon Skousen, an unreconstructed racist and right-winger who believed the U.S. is a divine utopia that God established as the high-water mark of human civilization. (In the now-iconic pic of cowman Bundy leaning easily against a fencepost on his ranch, you can see a copy of the Constitution poking out of his pocket; it's no ordinary copy, but one printed by Skousen's National Center for Constitution Studies, which offers its own courses in alt-history wing-nuttery.)

If you need a charcoal-based brain-scrub after all that old-geezer claptrap, check out Sean Wilentz's thorough 2010 debunking of this superstitious poor-man's history in the New Yorker.

Meanwhile, Bundy's wife Carol is holding down the fort with a blog, and she wants you to know this thing is not over:

We desperately need protestors at the Protest site on Bunkerville road every day. We are far from done with this effort. We need to keep the media focused and they will leave if there are not enough protestors. So come out and see us.
Oh, Carol. We don't come for the crowds. We come for the armed crazy. And that, it seems, will never go away. Which reminds us of another line in that blog post:

The terror of armed men occupying our land will never be forgotten.
We know exactly how you feel. Exactly how you feel, with a hot liquid sidecar of irony.

The fact that anyone listens to this old racist blowhard is laughable to me

Houston Neighborhood Haunted by Serial Pooper

qoqt8uoomnyc3qljqosg.png

A serial pooper is on the loose in Houston. Residents of the Woodland Heights neighborhood say one man—pictured above—has repeatedly pooped on their sidewalks and in their yards, striking the yard of one unlucky house at least six times.

"This is our neighborhood," Aimee Parsons, a Woodland Heights resident, told KPRC."Whatever people think should go on around here — pooping is not okay. We don't want dogs pooping in our yards why would we want a human? It is very strange."

One neighbor installed a security camera near his home, capturing the alleged pooper in the act.

huxt3fpkcvfynpo06yfx.gif

Witnesses say the man carries paper towels with him to wipe, only to carelessly leave them behind on the sidewalk.

"It's definitely not a nice thing to do to people," a neighbor said. "Going to the bathroom in their driveway is not nice. That's definitely not something that's suppose to go on in polite society."

When—or if!—the man is caught, he could face criminal mischief or indecent exposure charges.

For advice and moral support, Woodland Heights residents should turn to Albuquerque, where residents last summer were haunted by a pooping jogger.

Florida Couple Might Have Been Having Sex During Deadly Car Crash

wuxyo8yi2j0qszwjbudz.jpg

In March, Matthew Notebaert crashed his car into a canal in south Florida, killing his wife Amanda. Today, it was revealed that Amanda was naked from the waist down and sitting on Matthew's lap when he plowed past a dead end road sign and into the water.

Notebaert was also drunk and speeding at the time, and has been charged with DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and DUI property damage as a result of the incident. Police have not confirmed whether the two were actually having sex during the accident.

In any event, if you are going to have sex while you drive, make sure you can at least see the road.

Debate Between Jordanian Journalists Turns Into Set-Destroying Brawl

[YT]gWQEUb7p5o4[/YT]

This should happen more often on American television: On Wednesday, two Jordanian journalists debating the civil war in Syria tried to fight each other live on television, destroying the studio in the process.

Shaker Al-Johari (right) and Mohammed Al-Jayousi (left) were discussing the Syrian crisis on Between Opposing Opinions, a news program that airs on Jordanian television channel 7 Stars.

From the Telegraph:

Mohammed Al-Jayousi seemingly provoked Al-Johari by accusing him of being 'deviant' and supporting the Syrian revolution.

Al-Johari responded by accusing Al-Jayousi of supporting the Syrian regime in exchange for money, to which Al-Jayousi responded, "Shut up". Al-Johari then got up from his seat and the two started shoving the table top at one another.
Eventually, producers and others on set separate the two. No charges will be filed, according to Reuters.

The Michelle Bachmann crazy train just keeps on rolling! If she had her way women, like herself, wouldn't even be allowed to vote.

Michele Bachmann Rails Against Proposed National Women's History Museum

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/07/michele-bachmann-womens-history-museum_n_5283194.html

WASHINGTON -- A House bill to establish a bipartisan commission on the creation of the first national women's history museum might sound pretty noncontroversial -- but it has deeply upset Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.).

"I rise today in opposition to this bill, because I believe ultimately this museum that will be built on the National Mall, on federal land, will enshrine the radical feminist movement that stands against the pro-life movement, the pro-family movement, and pro-traditional marriage movement," Bachmann said on the House floor Wednesday ahead of a vote on the bill.

"As it's currently written," she added, "the legislation lacks the necessary safeguards to ensure the proposed museum will not become an ideological shrine to abortion that will eventually receive federal funding and a prominent spot on the National Mall."

The bill, co-sponsored by Reps. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), does not discuss the content of the potential museum or authorize federal funding. It simply establishes a bipartisan commission to study the possible creation of a privately funded National Women's History Museum in Washington, D.C. The commission would have 18 months to submit its recommendations to Congress; should it decide to establish such a museum, Congress would have to vote on a second bill to move forward with the plans.

Supporters of the bill note that there are museums on or near the National Mall dedicated to natural history, African art, American Indian history and culture, space exploration and aviation, and Asian art, but none dedicated to women's history. "Women's contributions to our country are largely missing from our national museums, memorials, statues and textbooks," Maloney told colleagues Wednesday. "The bill before us today seeks to finally change that."

The House passed the bill by a vote of 383 to 33 on Wednesday afternoon. Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) have introduced a companion measure in the Senate.

Bachmann and a few socially conservative congressmen and political groups, including the Family Research Council and the anti-abortion Susan B. Anthony List, have expressed concerns that the museum would celebrate pro-choice leaders like Margaret Sanger. Sanger established the nation's first birth control clinic, which led to the formation of Planned Parenthood. The Heritage Action Fund has also said it will score the vote in its ratings of House members.

The website of the nonprofit group trying to raise funds for the new museum does include a section about Sanger. It also includes a profile of Bachmann in an online exhibit on motherhood.
While Bachmann said she is flattered by the idea of being featured in a National Women's History Museum exhibit, she urged her colleagues to vote against the bill.

"I'm deeply concerned that any exhibit-worthy exhibits are clearly the exception and not the rule," Bachmann said. "A cursory review of the overall content already listed on the website shows an overwhelming bias towards women which fails to paint the actual picture of lives and women throughout our history."

Maloney responded by reminding colleagues that the bill does not cost taxpayers a dime or say anything about the museum's potential exhibits.
"To vote no on this bill would basically be voting no on a cost-free, no-strings-attached conversation by a bipartisan panel on the important contributions of women to this country," she said.

I really don't understand Michelle Bachmann. She's like a cartoon character.

It's terrifying that these kinds of people attract others and want to actively encourage another Civil War. That they can't see that is what will happen is why they are worrisome and dangerous.

Cabbie Accused of Drugging Female Passengers Just to Watch Them Pee

vv1cwgjglzwtxcwak5zi.jpg

A Tokyo cab driver has been arrested for allegedly feeding his female passengers snacks laced with diuretics so he could satisfy his fetish for seeing them lose control and urinate on his back seat.

"I got excited by watching women trying to withstand the urge to urinate," 41-year-old Toshihiko Nishi told investigators.

Police searched Nishi's computer and found a collection of security videos showing 50 different women peeing themselves in his cab. He allegedly lured the women into long trips by offering half-price fares, and then offered them crackers laced with diuretics.

One woman said that when she told him she needed a toilet, he refused to let her out, instead passing her an absorbent sheet and telling her to urinate on that.

Nishi admitted to police that he "bought diuretics through the Internet, and crushed them to mix with crackers."

He's being investigated for "committing a violent act."

Roving Band of Drunk Teens Take Over Quiet Philadelphia Neighborhood

swzfeharjbxxai1gsoxt.png

Residents of a northern Philadelphia neighborhood say hundreds of teenagers began having sex and peeing everywhere after a summer block party turned into a free-for-all.

"My entire house was peed on, people were having sex two feet in front of my children and everyone was drunk that day," a Northern Liberties resident told NBC Philadelphia.

"There was a lot of young people in the back, underage drinking, staggering around drunk, urinating on my garage," another neighbor told NBC.

Another terrified homeowner told the Daily News she witnessed hundreds of teens just drop trou.

According to NBC, one resident began recording two teenagers who were having sex in the open. When she asked them to stop, they ignored her and apparently continued on for another 40 minutes.

Residents say the crowd of marauding, procreating teenagers were in the neighborhood attending a radio station-sponsored free concert in a nearby plaza. Blaming the concert's apparent lack of security and porta potties, the residents are now trying to get the radio station to pay to clean up the damage.

The station put out a statement apologizing for "any of our fans who may have had a less than enjoyable experience at this past weekend's block party."

New York City's latest subway hero is Joshua Garcia, who jumped onto the Union Square subway tracks Wednesday and saved an unconscious teenage girl. He is a true hero. Many of the bystanders, however, are terrible people.

DNAinfo has the full story of Garcia's death-defying rescue, including this:

"It was adrenaline and the power of the Lord," Garcia said.

For a moment, he found himself looking up from the tracks at scores of faces watching them. Some people were snapping photos or taking video with their cellphones, he said.

"It was amazing seeing all these people doing nothing," he said. "It was an eye-opener."[/QUOTE

North Korea's News Agency Calls Barack Obama a "Monkey"

cv3ty2pjqwgpxb653svs.jpg

In an article published on May 2 that was just recently translated to English, Korean Central News Agency—the official propagandist news arm of the North Korean government—called Barack Obama a "monkey," among many other awful things.

The story has started to trickle up to mainstream outlets like the AP and the Washington Post, but it was first flagged by Josh Stanton, who runs the blog FreeKorea.us. He was emailed a translation of the article by Sung-Yoon Lee, a professor at Tufts. According to Lee's translation, this is how Obama was described in the North Korean paper of record:

Obama's gut-wrenching, revolting facial features
monkey climbing up this and that tree and scrounging up fruits on the ground
it's certain that Obama has slipped out of the body of a monkey
he should live as a monkey in an African natural zoo licking the breadcrumbs thrown by spectators
According to the AP—which has a deal with North Korea that allowed it to be the first Western news agency to place a bureau in the country—the racist remarks against Obama were attributed to at least one factory worker. According to a South Korean professor quoted by the AP, this is a typical tactic used by North Korea in order to keep an ostensible distance from language this offensive.

A U.S. state department spokesperson called the KCNA story "offensive and ridiculous and absurd." The news agency has a recent history of extreme racism, sexism and homophobia, having last month called South Korea's female president a "****e" and an openly gay chair of a U.N. inquiry into North Korean crimes against humanity a "disgusting old lecher with 40-odd-year-long career of homosexuality."

It's called the Bystander Effect. The more people that are around to help, the less likely any of them will help because they're assuming someone else will or they're scared to get caught in the crosshairs.

Ya that's the ticket, bizarre that is how we tick

Standing around and doing nothing is one thing, taking pictures/videos with a phone is another.
