Sub Mariner Official Thread

I don't see why he couldn't have an on-going. Just hook him up with a bad ass creative team. I mean this mini is off the chain man.

I take him much more seriously than I did before.

Namor, just like Aquaman, are hard sells for the long term. Aquaman is struggling now. Maybe its the limitations of writing underwater stories.

Except for that fact that Namor spends most of his time above water.

all Namor and Aquaman need are a writer who reminds people why these characters are cool. All we have been getting are people who remind us why they arent cool and try to make the characters fit a mold that they shouldnt.

Question and I decided that Aquaman should have an arc where he takes charge of the JLA during a major geopolitical crisis and impresses even the white-suited royals in Checkmate with his maneuvering. Focus on the fact that he's the king of a bunch of volatile *****ebags down in Atlantis who try to depose him every ten minutes. That's gotta make him a pretty savvy political figure.

Then throw in all the Arthurian allusions and give Atlantis back more of its mystical roots, with Aquaman becoming something of the League's magic expert as well. In short, give him some goddamn value as a member of the team instead of just "that guy who can talk to fish." :o

He doesn't just talk to fish, dude. He can swim really fast, too.

No, that's literally all I've seen him in. That is the extent of his career for me.

Duffy starred in "The Man From Atlantis." It was basically an Aquaman show with a supporting character from Namor's early adventures. Lawsuits, surprisingly, never came about.

No, you really musent. It was terrible. Save yourself the time and forget about it.
