If you like The Killers (I'm the biggest Hot Fuss fan), then you will probably like Interpol (great band that I forgot to list). The Bravery are really good, too. Honest Mistake and Fearless are my favorite songs. They remind me of The Clash, in a way.

Also, Kings of Leon are pretty good.

I've tried looking for sugegstions in the what are you listening to thread, but the songs they listen to does'nt attract me.

the type of bands im into is nine inch nails, linkin park, perfect circle, rage against the machine, thats it so far.

edit: the title is misleading, just suggest me bands that fit my tastes.

APC and NIN are awesome A:up: You listen to Tool?

There's always Classic rock. You might like:

Jimi Hendrix
Led Zeppelin
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Van Halen
Big Brother and the Holding Company

those are some hard bands from the time

how dark? im not into gore and extreme music. something like bulls on parade but not tooo freaky.

They handle some dark themes, but it's not hardcore in any sense. Alice in Chains can get pretty hardcore at times, but for the most part, it's pretty tame. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the other two though.

howwould you guys rate the strokes so far?

I really liked that one song of theres from the Spider-Man soundtrack. Also, for some reason, I always get The Strokes and The Hives confused.

EDIT: Damn wormhole!

Modern Bands:
The White Stripes
The Strokes
The Hives
Wolfmother
Kings of Leon
Modest Mouse
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Older Bands:
The Stooges
Led Zeppelin
The Who
Creedence Clearwater Revival
The Rolling Stones
Boston
The Velvet Underground
AC/DC
Van Halen
Queen
Lynyrd Skynyrd
The Beatles

I could survive on these guys for a loooooong time:up:

Can't argue with any of these either. I can't stress enough that everyone should try The White Stripes. That's quality music right there.

I saw them live at Madison Square Garden last Tuesday. Absolutely incredible performance. Seeing two people not only pack MSG but rock the ***** out of it was an amazing experience. I often hear people put down Meg White's drumming, but seeing the way she and Jack mesh on stage made it all the more clear that Meg isn't just riding on Jack's coat tails. As for Jack, well, he's Jack White. He could play mary had a little lamb on his guitar for two hours and I would love it.

Norma Jean, Underoath, Between The Buried and Me, The Used, My Chemical Romance, Mogwai, Red Sparrows.

If your into The Strokes try The Libertines or their off shot bands Dirty Pretty Things and Babyshambles.

If you like the 60s Garage/surf rock of The Hives try The Horrors.

If you like The White Stripes try The Black Keys or Death From Above 1979.

If your into trippy dance rock T Rex, Stone Roses or Oasis try Kasabian .
