Have any suggestions for any Spider Man comic for me to check out?

Thanks.

Amazing Spider-Man...

It's great...

:yay:

I'll endorse what TMOB said, ASM....but only the first 350 issues or so! ;)

Pick up the following trades/collections, and enjoy:

-Essential Spider-Man vol.1-8
This collects everything from Amazing Fantasy #15-Amazing Spider-Man....I think it's around 150 or so, when it stops. They are black and white reprints, but they are cheap. If you want color and have the money, you can pick up the Marvel Masterworks: Amazing Spider-Man, which collect the same stories in color, and if you just want the first 38 issues of ASM in full color and in one book, pick up the Amazing Spider-Man Omnibus.

-The Venom Saga
Whether you love or hate Venom, this sums up basically the entire Blck Costume storyline, and includes some great moments.

-Kraven's Last Hunt
Enjoy it. Seriously. You will never regret buying this book.

-Spider-Man: Blue
It's a retelling of sorts of the earlier Spidey years, which centers around the love triangle between Peter, MJ, and Gwen Stacy. VERY great story.

-Spider-Man/human torch: I'm with stupid.
Buy and enjoy the laughs.

Hope that helps.

There was a Howard Mackie storyline called "Name Of The Rose" that I found quite enjoyable, & a one-shot called "The Anniversary Syndrome", which has to do with the anniversary of Uncle Ben's Death. The former I believe was in Web of Spider-Man & the latter in Spider-Man.
Oh-and I love, love, love the Spectacular story arc entitled "The Child Within", which has to do with Peter & Harry struggling with their inner demons, each other, & Vermin. Excellent read. Almost redeems the 90's by itself.

Get the first issue of Amazing Spider-Man Family that came out last month.

As Shinlyle said the essentials are always great. Whether we hate or love the new status quo just about every fan loves those stories... :yay:

I wouldn't personally recommend Brand New Day, Just as many people hate it as they do love it. So that's automatically being bias...
I do however say, give it a try and see what you think.

Another book I would recommend is the Best of Spider-man vol. 1-3 is pretty good as well.

Personally i like bnd, at first i didnt think i would but it was fun to see spidey back to his wisecracking problem having ways cause that was the spider-man i was use to seeing.

In this, we are in full agreement. I loved that the worst story in there was the only one that existed in BND continuity! The other 3 or 4 were great...especially Mr. and Mrs. Spider-Man!

Chris Wallace-Dude, "The Child Within" and pretty much every appearance of Harry as the Goblin up until his death were all great! Good call!

Harry's overall story was great, yes, but DeMatteis was able to bring a depth to it that was just mind-blowing. And he then took a nothing character like Vermin & made him relevant to the story.
