Couldn't be #648 because Peter doesn't get the UFM suit until ASM #658. Anyways, in ASM #666, Peter can be seen switching from his traditional red and blues into street clothes by adjusting the cloaking of his UFM suit into a black long sleeve shirt and khaki pants. Then after this issue, we suddenly see Peter's red and blues getting torn or see him changing pants. It is one of those flubs that could easily be remedied with a single panel and a brief explanation. Otherwise, it makes no sense for him to wear his real red and blues, as they offer no benefit.

Weren't they going to make a huge twist that the last 20 years of Spider-Man, we have been seeing a clone the whole time? But then due to such negative response, they turned it around and revealed that we have been reading about the real Peter Parker after all?

I hope the clone saga is never used in the movies...

It will be one day you can bet on that. Marvel has just recently started acknowledging the fact that the whole thing existed after years of remaining hush on it. Ben Reilly's name hadn't been mentioned in print FOR YEARS until the ASM annual #36 in 2009 when Spidey went up against the new villain Raptor that had ties to Ben from his "lost years" in Portland. Then Kaine started coming back and we once again have the Scarlet Spider name out there.
