I freakin' loved it. I don't think it was well received in the box office, which was a shame. Movies like 300 did brillaintly, but Sunshine hardly managed to make people notice.

It isn't the happiest of all movies, that's for sure. The CGI effects to me, were one of the best things in the entire movie. The sun looks real. I love the cast, the tone, the cgi and the sound, also. Normally, I never get tense during a movie...sure, I'd think to myself 'wow-wee, that was cool', but to me...this was immense.

Damn, looks pretty good and it's got a fantastic director behind it. I'm surprised I haven't heard of this movie till now. Makes you wonder why they wouldn't try for a bigger release though.

I'm actually glad I watched the spoiler-ish trailer. the regular one makes it look like a sequel to The Core (which is what I joked about when I saw this months ago, but forgot about it). The extended trailer actually made it look interesting. Maybe i'll check it out.
