Oh its okay if its too hard, don't sweat it. Those pictures were awesome enoughthe spot's footage is difficult to make on 3D photos. That's the best i can make. I'll try and we'll see.
If that bridge is all CG, then I'm very impressed. It looks like a combination of practical and digital effects otherwise.
Although I do agree that they were slightly snubbed from 2007, they'll still have some strong competition this year again..And the winner of best visual effects for 2009 better be...
Seriously it's owed to them anyway.
Yeah, someone said earlier that that is only one part of Devastator.I don't think the behemoth robot is a combined Decepticon. The shoulders and arms look like they combine perfectly and are only part of the greater vehicle. "Devestator," if he's even called that, could be much larger.
I'm getting an Empire Strikes Back vibe here from this spot. That's a damn good thing.
I'm betting that constructicon is basicly the top half of "devastator". That giant "wheel" would make for a pretty handy "pelvis" that the legs would attach to. I could see four standard construction vehicles for legs and two more to fill in the torso or add some shoulder bad-assery of some sort. Judging by the floors on the buildings around him I'd say that guy right there is already 40 to 50 feet.
I did notice a bit of a flaw in the cg on the optimus leaping scene. The constructicons right "hand" really looks to break the plane of that building on the left of the screen. You can see the hands shadow and the hand come together and the building is left untouched. Nothing big, but if the building is going to be foreground it should be handled. But i'm just nitpicking.
awesome.
