well to define my thread's purpose: I'd like to finally lay out why I know the kid is so cool. Ever see Batman Beyond? NO? Great show. It takes place somewhere around 3 or four decades after batman TAS. In it, Batman's too old to be batman anymore so some kid who works for him and has similar issues is given the mask of the bat to become the new technologically advanced batman. We later learn in Justice League show that Terry, the new batman is a clone of some kind of Bruce Wayne, WHAT!!! OH MY GOD. well it's true. so when I heard superman was going to have his own kid like batman, I instantly knew there were possibilities for the kid to have his own Beyond story with all new villains and future stories etc. This has great potential.

So who's with me? should the next one take place in the far future where jason's already the new superman? it'd be like the return of joker, with old superman villains returning to cause chaos for our new hero.I for one would love it.

In the first place, most everybody on these forums has probably seen or is otherwise very familiar with the premise of 'Batman Beyond'.

Secondly, it doesn't seem like Singer and his writers have paid much attention to Timm, Dini & Co.'s animated universe, so whatever 'potential' there is here is probably not going to get tapped anytime soon.

Finally, why bring in a new Superman in the future just to have him face the same Rogues' Gallery as his dad? Why not NEW enemies? I dunno, it worked for 'Batman Beyond', which had some pretty kickass villains who could hold their own with any of the classics that made an appearance.

Jason as the Man of Tomorrow would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it.
