Superman Returns Superman Cant Jump. And other ODD things...

I've been reading this thread for awhile. I don't think I've posted yet, but I say yes he can jump. He is able to leap, because that is part of the super abilities he has. He can jump without the use of the flying, however it feels or energy he has to use for him to fly. Just, because he can fly doesn't mean he can't jump. When you're flying your flying, when you're leaping you can't change direction until you land and you won't stay in the air. What would be the point of leaping if you can fly? He doesn't have to jump high your right, but when he was younger he didn't know how to fly he could just run fast and jump for to be in great distances, but he will just fly since he can.

Superman can change direction at will this is what i am talking about so If he tries to jump the Empire state building and midway somewhere between the 80 and 94 floor he feels like haveing A triple shot Moca frap with a half calf and half and half with sweetinlow and needs to go to A coffe shop he doesnt finish the jump he just goes. So there for its not a jump its flying.

At the end of the day, It really doesnt matter. I dont think he cant jump either. Even so, what would be the point? Even if he could jump, itll be so high, noone would think he was jumping. Ok leap over the empire state building supes. Its basically flying right over it. THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!

Well you can turn and stuff, but I don't think it still is flying. If it isn't forced to fly it isn't flying. Like Hulk he jumps and comes down and so on and so forth. That's how I see it. I'm not going to knock off your views on it.

The reason Superman can change his hair and all that stuff is because he does it all at virtually the speed of light. I don't think he needs a comb to make his hair different...he probably just liek freezes it or something.

There are a couple of film the show normal bathroom and food situations. ex. Bathroom pulp fiction, empire records, shallow hal, austin powers Ex. food Pulp fiction, Signs, school of rock, villiage. Again a couple but not many........

the key phrase being "at will". once again, just because he can defy gravity doesn't mean he's doing it constantly. regardless of whether he's flying or not, gravity still exists. it's a conscious choice of whether he allows himself to be subject to it's effects or not. watch the scene in the original Superman, where he visits Lois on her terrace. see how he hops down from the ledge?

I really don't understand why you think you know better than the publishers of both the Hulk and Superman.

I am not a writer, i am not a director, i am a Fan with an observation on a fictional character that i found humorus. All of my points have been related to the film and t.v. versions of superman and on how the character went from leaping buildings to flying on screen. i guess that some were along the line You thought that i was 1000% serious about this topic. My fellow poster maybe you should re-read this thread again and see the tone of not only all my post but all the other posters whom have contributed to this thread and see how everyone seems to get that this is not about facts but about fun..................

really? 'cause you're sure acting like it. Superman leaps in both the original and current comics, the '78 movie and the current one, and yet you refuse to listen to reason, calling any evidence I present unacceptable. so yeah, it pisses me off when people are so incredibly pigheaded that they can't see beyond their own notions.

again, I'll ask you to explain the joke, because I can't see anything funny about it. all you've done is made a statement about a character that's contradictory to the actual facts. at no point do you discuss the transition from leaping tall buildings to flying. at no point do you discuss any of the tv incarnations. instead you tried to argue that anyone leaping over 2 feet in height can fly. that the Hulk can fly.

They never show him wash it........does it need to be washed? When he rips his Clark gear off cant any one who finds them bring them to a police station and run DNA test on them to see who they belong too? once again, the problem is that there's nothing funny about what he's saying. there's no humor, no punchline, just Spawn187 saying that Superman can't leap. what's the difference between that and saying that Superman isn't bulletproof? seriously, where's the joke? I've asked him to explain it but he seems unable too.
