I don't see how that would matter either since Superman is really a Kryptonian...He is the definition of immigrant. Well he is more on the lines of a refugee.

yeah, but he is "white", and was drawn that way all throughtout his history. tha'ts just the way it is. the actor being american doesn't really matter, because a lot of british/aussie actors have great american accents and can't pull it off better than a lot of american ones.

dean cain is part Welsh, Japanese, French-Canadian and Irish, but i thought he made a decent superman. so to me, doesn't matter where he's from, just so long as he looks the way he does.
