What should be done with Darkseid?

MCD is not near as big as he used to be. I had in mind to just use his voice. Darkseid's body would prolly need to be all CGI, or nearly all.

Be it CGI or actor, Michael Ironside should be Darkseid. Even his face looks like Darkseid's stone face. Here, listen to Ironside's Darkseid:

Dunkan doesnt even compare. He just sounds like a fat dude. Ironside's voice is like the essence of evil.

I'd be fine with either one as the voice of Darkseid. both would be great.
But when I picture Darkseid himself, I see a character somewhere between the size of Shaquille O'neal and Andre the Giant.
I'd like to see him at around 7 feet tall, 400 + lbs, muscular, and even tho he looks huge, he would have a quickness to him. His movements would look almost graceful, regal even.

sure it could be done very great body in cgi/motion cap technology. But i do think a phsyical actor and costume/makeup/posthestic suit could be just as great too.

No actor can fill those shoes [ 7 ft. & 400 lbs. ] There are always ways to make sumone look bigger & taller on screen.

I think that Darkseid is even bigger than that.
As for the way he moves, well yes he is a king of a whole planet, but its not a peaceful kingdom, its a kingdom of war, sadism and evil. Darkseid himself is the personification of pure evil in the DCU. Therefore i imagine that the way he walks should evoke fear, and not be graceful.

You're probably going to need to Hagrid-ize Darkseid somehow, but since the guy has a lot to say and is the leader type, I think an actor on set is the way to go. Probably with some mo-cap, cgi-enhancements, etc., but probably not one pure method.

yea personally as i said it before i think it would be better to have an actual actor/stunt guy there on set in makeup/costume and then ehance it with cgi and all that.

That is a good idea to start with for a visual conception. I agree 100% with your general idea for darkseid.....is also why I think DC should wake up & pen him in to battle Superman.
