Superman IV: The Quest for Peace Superman IV and Firestorm story comparisons.

I know Nuclear Man is also the name of Firestorm, but I just found even more similarities. It seems in one story, Firestorm was convinced to eliminate the world's nuclear weapons which resulted in opposition by the US and Soviet governments as well as the world's superheroes, and a confrontation with another character also referred to as a nuclear man. And to top it all off, this story was published a year before Superman IV came out.

That's interesting. With the amount of time it takes to make a movie, I'm not sure if the comic book story had any real connection to it....but it is a heck of a coincidence.
