Superman & Lois Superman & Lois General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS!)

Are they still filming? Makes no sense that Batwoman wraps up but they prolong this for 2 more months.

I'm so pissed that there's not a new episode tonight. I got all ready and stuff.

@flickchick85 I heard it on the grapevine
that the Batwoman season finale has Kate go off in search of Bruce. Is this just a contrivance to account for Wallis leaving the show, or could it lead to something more? And by more, I mean... :super: :ybat:.

A little off topic, but I wouldn't mind seeing the show's logo look this for next season.

If they're promoting Chrissy as series regular, I wonder if this means somebody or two will perish in the season finale.

I've loved Chrissy thus far, and I was definitely NOT expecting to. I was actually thinking the other day on my rewatch how I've missed seeing her over the last couple eps. Glad she'll be a regular next season.

Well I certainly wasn't expecting Tal-Roh to stick around as a regular once he'd been dealt with at the end of the season.

We certainly do. She can still annoy the **** out of me even if she isn't locking lips with Superman.

That's just an annoying character in general. Felicity was the love interest, female lead, etc...

Yeah, I enjoy her a lot more than M. Scarabelli and A. Macfadyen in their respective roles as Martha and Jor-El (even with both coming across better than usual in the latest episode).

Nah. Felicity was annoying in a very specific way that was enhanced, but not created, by her prominent role on Arrow. Chrissy has the potential to be similarly annoying even if it's impossible for her to ever be a dominate, driving force behind S&L.

EDIT: For the sake of clarity: I don't dislike Chrissy at all. She and Lois make a good team. I just see the potential for her to become a character I dislike if she's given too much exposure. When it comes to the quirky sidekicks, less is usually more.

I also find her being made a regular encouraging because it suggests Lois' reporting will remain at the forefront of the storylines for the time being, and won't fall to the wayside like it has with other CW reporter characters. Hell, maybe she'll even hire Clark!

I loved that Lois acknowledged that Clark's a "great reporter" in his own right. When writers make Lois the only one between the two invested in (or good at) their profession, it just draws attention to the fact that Clark doesn't actually need to be a journalist in this day and age.

On the one hand, I do hope this happens and is handled well, on the other hand, I think I have PTSD from team Flash where it's gotten so out of hand that they honestly need to cut their regular cast in half without mercy. The DCCW's history with how increasingly poorly team Flash and team Arrow were handled as the seasons progressed makes me extremely wary of building any sort of consistent team around Lois and Clark/Superman.

She's going to in at least half of the episodes, will almost certainly be with Lois for majority of her scenes which will likely involve the newspaper/investigation. We've already had the show this season be split up between the Teens/Clark & Lois/Superman/Lois, now we just to expand on some aspects of that. Be no different if this were the Daily Planet, they'd likely be regulars.
