Spring is the usual pilot season, and given that they already have their core players in place, I suspect it'll be a spring 2020 pilot, on track for a fall premiere.
Yes, I think that is the most logical.
I hope that’s the case but I wondered when’s it’s gonna be on given how many shows there are. Do you think this is further on than the Canaries show?

That is what makes me doubt, if we put the canaries instead of the arrow where we put superman? Maybe it will only be added on another night ... It would also be necessary to know how many episodes it will have ..

I could see it been paired with the Flash possibly.

Every time I see or Brandon with the suit I can't help thinking that Tyler needs an update on his suit.View attachment 29835

Do you have anything specific in mind, or would you rather that the costume designers simply emulate the Kingdom Come design with a different chest emblem?

Something similar to that maybe ..

Nice. My take on an updated costume wouldn't be too far-off from that. I'd prefer an all-yellow or all-gold version of the belt KC Routh wears, however. The logo on the back of the cape is a feature I can do without as well. Lastly, my pick for the boots would be something closer to this...

Also, is it just me, or does Hoechlin look even more like Superman at that Comic-Con event than he does on the actual show?

Totally agree, I don't know if it's because he has lost weight but before he had more of a superman face.

As a fan of the character and someone who's been wanting to see a live action Superman show for some time now, I am really hoping that this show will get me fully on board with Tyler's version of the character.

I can't say that I have a real emotional attachment to his version whereas I already feel sad at the idea of knowing that Brandon's KC Superman will likely die in the Crisis.

This is becoming part of the Superman curse, imo. Cavill also looked more like Superman outside of the role than when he was playing it. Routh too. I think it's the hair/make-up teams' insistence on Superman looking "perfect" so they make them as clean-shaven as possible, cake on the make-up to hide any evidence of a beard, plaster their hair down with product and generally make them look more like Ken dolls than Supermen.

That said, Tyler's weight loss has contributed to how different he looks lately, too. I really hope he beefs back up for his show.

 You've never even met Brandon's KC Superman. All he is so far is a cool suit.

Which (and not to be a prat here but...) lines up with a lot of Herolee’s opinions. A lot of things tend to be on a very superficial level with him on what’s good & what isn’t when it comes to Superman.

The funny thing about that photo is it wasn't even planned. This is from the Supergirl panel at SDCC 2016. Moderator Damian Holbrook asked the producer and actors to go down the line and say something nice about the person sitting next to them. At the 21:15 mark, this is what happened with Jeremy Jordan:

What memories ... And when I see the video again I see how perfect Tyler was there as a superman without being interpreting it, physical form and perfect face, I hope that for the series I recover a little that physical more than anything because it shows a lot in the face. By the way something that would not happen but that would be very good is that Win came out in the series ..

Wasn't it stated that his KC Superman was essentially the older version to his SR Superman?
He’s not being written by the people who wrote that Superman, and we haven’t seen how age and “Kingdom Come” elements will affect the portrayal so there’s no telling yet what he’ll be like. We simply haven’t met this version yet.

But continuity and canon wise, he is still a older version of the character we first saw in SR.

I know there are some who were not fans of that take but I enjoyed what Routh had brought then which is why I feel more invested in him as Superman when compared to Tyler's.

Now as originally mentioned, I hope that this show will add some layers to Tyler's version as well.

I don’t think it’s even been confirmed that he’ll have the same continuity, but I could be wrong. It sounded to me like they were keeping it vague and that it would be more like some sort of hybrid version, but I guess we’ll see.

Well assuming if Brandon's KC Superman is a ilder version of the SR one, I am hoping to see him and Tyler's Superman relate to each other over the fact that they both had sons. Now in Tyler's case, his Superman started a family on a much happier note (what with being married to Lois as well) when compared to hos potential SR counterpart.

And we don't even know on what became of Routh's Lois and Jason.

If anything, I hope that the events we see Superman and Lois experience in Crisis will be carried over and felt in their show like how Spider-Man FFH dealt with the aftermath of Endgame.

I’ll be shocked as hell if they mention Jason and his mystery conception lmao.

I heard they were going to leave it kinda vague with Routh’s superman past. I do think well likely hear something about him having had a son, but I don’t known if it will go into details.

They will probably have a slight nod to SR to appease the movie’s fans but for the most part it will probably be vague.

Our first look at the family.

This is beautiful! And superman looks amazing, it is the series he needs, Smallville series of origin, Lois and Clark series as he knows Lois and was established and now this series that will go one step further, something we have never seen.EJb6J6nXkAYIUrr.jpg 7.jpg

Yes we've had Superman shows before but this is new territory for Supes on TV.

And Jon Kent only made his comics debut a few years ago

I hope they go all out in Superman and Lois in terms of Superman action and the rogues gallery.

This will likely mark the first time we see a Superman raising a family.

Yeah if there’s one thing I could never understand with Cavill’s Superman, it’s why they didn’t give him the spit curl in his hair. I mean, his hair does it naturally. It was still okay looking in MOS (though maybe a bit too long) but the way they slicked it back in BvS was an eyesore. He looked like a hitman in a bad mob movie.
