Would anyone here be honestly surprised if this show took a page from Arrow's book by presenting us sequences that takes place in the future where both of Clark's and Lois's sons at odds with each other?

And I'm starting to guess that based on what I've heard about Lex's new status quo in "Supergirl", that Tyler's Clark doesn't have bad history with Lex anymore. I mean if Tyler's Clark still remembered the previous timeline then there's no way that he'd be fine with Lex being in control of the DEO.

He does remember the previous timeline though.

He’s in the same boat as Kara, he can’t prove Lex is still evil so what can he do? Kara is having to grin & bear it while waiting for Lex to slip up.

J'onn restored everyone's memories except for Superman's. :o

Guess I just have a hard time picturing Clark not doing anything about it for the remainder of Supergirl's current season (seeing as how Tyler isn't confirmed to return for another appearance before he starts filming his own series).

I mean I'm pretty sure the story will eventually lead into Kara figuring out how to bring down Lex because everyone knows what he's truly capable of. So the fact that Clark wouldn't get move actively involved in that, especially given their history, is a little odd.

But what can he do?

Well the real reason is they likely can’t have Tyler for the the remainder of the season. It’s just one of those things where they have their own stories to tell so don’t have room for more supporting characters and then there’s scheduling etc. It’s not always feasible, add to that he has a pilot to film in March for his own show aswell.

If there is a Brandon Routh Superman show, what are the chances of them getting Bryan Singer and Kevin Spacey back too? :o

I don't expect Tyler's Superman to appear in Supergirl until its season finale.

With Weinstein producing and a Michael Jackson hologram doing the score?

If they do, this sequel series to Superman Returns will be called Superman Retreats.

With Diggle and Dinah moving to Metropolis, it looks like the Superman and Lois show is gaining some steam.

That could always end up changing depending on where they plan on taking John post-Arrow. For all we know, the closing events in Arrow's series finale may have altered those plans.

I'm still wondering if this show will also bother addressing on why Tyler's Superman never worked more with the other heroes on Earth prime. I mean it made sense when it was just Earth 38 since Batman was the only known hero in his world prior to Kara's debut.

I don't want any leftovers from ARROW. I want S&L to be its own thing. Plus, I hate ARROW. I'd rather have Steel and Maggie Sawyer than knock off versions of Green Lantern and Black Canary. Just no.

I'm still wondering if Tyler's Superman worked with Batman in this rebooted universe as surely he might have some idea where Bruce is hiding. Hopefully this show will answer this question.

This sounds darker than I was expecting

Superman and Lois is one of two shows this pilot season to earn an early season pickup from The CW (the Walker, Texas Ranger reboot starring Supernatural's Jared Padalecki is the other). It's no wonder, really, as the network's latest addition to its growing stable of DC Comics-based shows comes from a group of known quantities. The Flash executive producer and former showrunner Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti are behind the show, which is, of course, based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

Starring Supergirl's Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, who reprise their roles tas he world’s most famous super hero and Gotham's most famous journalist, this new take sees the couple at yet another stage of life. Where Smallville was about Clark Kent's teenage years, and the 90s series Lois & Clark ended with the iconic couple becoming parents, Superman and Lois will see the two characters dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents.

As the series opens, LOIS LANE is still working at the Daily Planet, but CLARK KENT has just been fired following a massive layoff plan at the journal. His father JONATHAN KENT is no longer with them, while his mother MARTHA KENT is living alone on the farm where he grew up in Smallville. They have twins,JONATHAN and JORDAN KENT, who are thirteen and very different -- both physically and otherwise. Jonathan is the popular one, an all-star athlete who's about to enter the Varsity team, while Jordan is more introverted, anxiety prone, and very much into computers and video games. They don't know who their father really is... yet. And they may or may not have inherited his powers.

Lois's father GENERAL SAMUEL LANE is in the picture and knows about Clark. LANA LANG is also a big part of the show. She's a banker, still living in Smallville, with her husband KYLE CUSHING, a firefighter, and their daughters, SARAH, who's fourteen, and younger SOPHIE who's eight. They are in a dark place: Kyle is a drunk and Sarah tried to take her own life a year ago.

And yes, Superman has an enemy in this version of the story, who appears as THE STRANGER in the pilot. His true identity is revealed ar the end of the episode...

Hang on, did I miss Lois stating- presumably sometime between Elseworlds and now- that she's from Gotham City?

This sounds mildly interesting (if true). I’m curious to see what they’ll have Clark do for a living now that journalism (at least at the Planet) isn’t an option. I hope and pray they don’t go the stupid route and make Clark’s character arc centered around feelings of insecurity about Lois being the breadwinner. Keep fragile masculinity away from Superman.

I’m relatively certain I won’t give a **** about Lana, her family, or the tension that’ll inevitably arise between Jonathan and Jordan.

I hope that the premise and some of the character breakdowns are not true. If true, some of this can be blamed on Supergirl that seems to inherit Superman's stuff.

Other than Crisis, why is Superman having twins? It's not even Chris Kent and Jordan sounds like an attempt to duplicate Alex Danvers, who was made for Supergirl's TV show.

Also why is Lana Lang in the show when she's no longer in Clark's life? I don't need to see her or Martha Kent since they've been shown from Smallville.

General Sam Lane I can see since he now knows about Clark.

Also Clark being laid off from the Daily Planet sounds like the recent comics storyline that he was fired after revealing his identity to the world.

A lot of these characters I'm seeing in the breakdown are extraneous.

Usually a Superman film or tv show starts with his origin. I think that the pilot will start with his origin and that we see what Lana does now and that'll be it. There's no need to see Lana and Martha beyond the pilot.

The only site reporting this is KSite.

So you are telling me that despite having a large supporting cast in the comics, that Greg and Todd couldn't include any of the following characters as series regulars?

- Dan Turpin
- Maggie Sawyer (who has already appeared on Supergirl).
- Emil Hamilton
- Perry White
- John Henry Irons (aka Steel)
- Bibbo Bibboski
- Pete Ross (Lana Lang's Canon Husband)
- Morgan Edge
- Lex Luther

Especially when most of them are from Metropolis era. I'm still hoping that the breakdowns and premise is not true, especially from a site I never heard of. They had plenty of time to work on the show's premise.

You also forgot to include Lucy Lane, who also appeared in Supergirl's 1st season.

Superman will have plenty of villains to choose from his rogues gallery but will end up fighting Zod again. :o
