edit: good Kane saw it too. see i'm not seeing things man :)

If you give me about 10 minutes, I'll make it possible for everyone to see for themselves.

luthor questioned who that boy's father was before he brought the kryptonite out. he brought it closer to test his theory.

Youre wrong Kal-El 8. I watched it over.

There was NO effect.

It didnt glow and Jason didnt react.

Their was an effect.

look

# When Lois and Jason are being held hostage by Luthor, Jason shows an aversion to a kryptonite crystal. Luthor notices this, too, and seems to draw the same connection. click here

Jason also appears to react poorly to the Kryptonite click here

I've got plent more with a lot of reviews that notice Jason's reaction to the Kryptonite

sure dude go right ahead. :)

i know what i saw (seen it twice already) and otehr members of the forum including yourself saw the same thing: there was no Kryptonite effect on Jason in the film.

you can't trust wikipedia. anyone can post anything there. look you can think that jason showed aversion to the kryptonite, just stop trying to sway everyone else to your side.

I think he looks kinda sick but to each their own. Why would Lex notice him otherwise?

Lex didnt notice him.. geez. He put 2 and 2 together. He knew Lois was romantic with Superman and wondered if the child was his..

Also, Lex seemed frusterated when the Kryptonite had no effect on Jason. Chill for a few minutes, Ill have the clip up.

yeah i thought he was going to kill the kid when that happened.

But, the thing is the kid always looked sick.......he just seemed to sit there, pretty sickly looking......so yeah, I'd buy that it was hurting him. But, he didn't show enough for Lex to be sure.

I think the piano thing might have been enough, though.

If that was true then Lex would have gone "Lois Lane and her child! Is the child Supermans? Muhahaha!"

When he first saw her (abet, given he'd be in his bathrobe that'd be a bit odd)

However, he waited until he was holding the Kryptonite and the boy was going (keep that stuff AWAY) for Lex to go

"Wha?"

I admit, I expected something a bit less subtle for a reaction. Maybe they wanted to hide he'd be able to throw the piano.

I think it's just something that can be open ended.

I mean, imagine......he could be as strong as his dad.....but not have the weaknesses.

Crazy.

But, scientifically.....I don't think it'd make sense. He's got Kryptonian blood....which SHOULD make him weak to Kryptonite.

Jason was just staring at the Kryptonite, he didnt look sick at all...the Kryptonite didnt even glow.

Lex basically brought it right into the kid's face, and Jason didnt even move...

The Lex looked frusterated and gave up.

He thought the K would affect Jason, but it didnt. Superman would be on the floor and almost passed out if Lex did that to him. Nothing even happened to Jason.

Hes got partial Kryptonian genetics. Meaning the genes that make Kryptonians be affected by Green K may not even be within him....

And who knows human/Kryptonian DNA actually creates.

I think hes invulnerable to Kryptonite.

The Kryptonite doesn't have to glow though.....it didn't glow when Superman got stabbed.

Yup, that's where I think Singer CAN take it, if he wants. I think that scene was done as subtle, leaving it up to us to argue, so that he could have the option.

Watch this:

Luthor looked pretty upset that the Kryptonite didnt affect Jason at all.

Jason didnt seem to be holding back either and trying to restrain himself, since they cut to a shot of him at the end of this clip....hes still staring...not even phased by the Green K.

Jason looks exactly like he didnt when Luthor was given in 'Wrong' speech. No affect.

I know that by Kal-El 8 claimed it glowed before so I was saying.

Okay, I watched it.

My take is....

1. Luthor is ranting.

2. Luthor notices the kid is NOT TAKING HIS EYES OFF THE KRYPTONITE

3. Luthor wonders if the Kid is Supermans.

4. Luthor waves it in front of the kid, the kid seems to be dizzy and focused on the Kryptonite

5. Luthor believes its possible the kid is Supermans

6. He says for them to not leave this room because he believes he now has Superman's kid.

Yeah, they removed that huge piece from Kal El on the table and it didn't glow.

Uhh he didnt look dizzy at all. His eyes were focused on it but that doesnt mean it affected him or weakened him.

He wouldnt have let them leave the room if it was Superman's kid or not. Lex looked pretty pissed towards the end that the Green K wasnt affecting Jason. Look again.

I think the fact that the Kryptonite had no effect on Jason made Lex doubt that he was really Superman's son.

If the Kryptonite did affect him and Lex got his proof that the child was Superman's.....he would have killed him right there on the spot. Obviously he would realize the kid would have powers in that case and not leave one single henchmen to guard him

Obviously, your take on the reaction is different. I'm seeing that he's quite curious about it. Not that he's pissed its not affecting him.

Lex looked frusterated when he abruptly stoped waving the Green K in Jason's face. It clearly wasnt phasing Jason so I think Lex kinda threw that theory out the window in his mind.

Your defintion of clear is not the same as mine since I came to the opposite conclusion.
